Amalia talks so fast when she's speaking in her native language. I now completely understand why it takes her more time to speak in her American interviews and it's because she translates her thoughts in English.
@@whewgei4810 I noticed the same thing with Nicolaj Coster-Waldau, from GoT. When I watched interviews with him, where he was speaking in his Danish, he was talking really fast, but the weird things was, his lips were barely moving. Like, he barely opens his mouth and just rattle on really fast. It's like a trait among Scandinavians.
Not all heroes wear capes. Thanks to whoever translated this. I have done translations before, and it can be a pain in the ass. Thanks for taking one for the team.
I did and took me literally 10hrs to complete coz I had to place the text in the right place, find eng words for Swedish words that don't have an English translation, edit out the parts that weren't part of the interview, yeah, it was a lot. Don't know if I'll do something like this again tho lol
@@whewgei4810 Tack så mycket for the translation! I actually started learning Swedish cuz I love Amalia! And the translation is so helpful 🙏 There's this thing they say that sounds like elek sam or something! What are the actual words?😅 I kind of get the meaning from the context..
I am so happy Amalia got a main role in a US Television Show. She deserve it so much. She's an amazing, & intelligent actress. I hope Motherland Fort Salem is not the last one she'll do in US or Canada. And she sounds so different when she speaks Swedish from speaking English ahsjsjs She's so cool!
I’m very impressed with her. She doesn’t have Swedish accent at all. At first I know her, didn’t think at all that English is not her first language. She speaks English so well. Without foreign accent👏🏻🤟🏻 kudos to Amalia
As a Swede it's so different to hear Amalia speak in swedish! XD Even though I've seen her in Alena... I speak Swedish, English and Japanese and I'm a bit of a language nerd... So for me it's really fun to hear peoples voices change in pitch, intonation and melody when talking different languages :D Love you Amalia! Tycker verkligen att du verkar vara en fantastisk människa ;)
Oh, thanks for translating this, I love how different Amalia speaks in Swedish language than on English interviews. Her accent and voice is so soothing and she speak so fast not like in English which she tend to understand and think so we'll of her answer first. But I love to hear her interview, may she speak in Norwegian and in German too, in comparison, I was just thinking.
Hi, I'm from Bangladesh.. I like her so much, when I saw her first time motherland I just love her.. She is a very cute and beautiful lady,, I just hope motherland Season 3 and more.. Love you amalia.
Yeah, I tweeted out the link soon as I was done late that night but I know not everyone follows me on that platform. However y'all found the video, the most important thing is you found it and are enjoying it. Makes the 10hrs doing it worth it.
I really like this interview. when I find characters I really like I try to find out as much about actor/actress as I can, so this video is really informative for me. The only downside is I got to keep rewinding the video like "wait what they say?" Lol at some parts it goes pretty fast. So far I've only gotten through like half the video lol
Thanks for your job, you're God! ❤️ I have to confess I started learn Swedish because of her - she's my platonic love, I fell in love with her in the first scene of Motherland immediately. And still I have a ton of work to understand. 😅 P.S: Did anyone understand the name of the city southern from Stockholm where she lives? I'm planning trip to Sweden. 😇

It's a pretty common thing to speak fast when we speak Swedish. I don't know why we do it tho lol
