A STORY OF PROPHET YUNUS A.S AND A WHALE

Yunus Ibn Matta or Jonah in English, was a 20th Messenger of Allah sent to Nineveh, a city in northern Iraq with a population of over a hundred thousand. Prophet Yunus was an Israelite prophet, sent to an area that is now in Mosul, Iraq - then Nineveh in the Assyrian empire. Prophet Yunus was seemingly an ordinary man who was born and raised amongst the fellow citizens of Nineveh.
