He was amazing as Gomez the original cast were perfect talk about iconic the to and fro between them always gets me, you know, "Tish, you're speaking French again" I just realized watching your presentation that "come hither" look she is giving the camera is the same as the Mona Lisa, and every part as much of a masterpiece.

Yes, bumping this a decade plus later. Indeed, the affection he still shows to this day for her denotes a purity and beauty between them that was visible onscreen. That affection we felt watching them was real.

I remember as a child I was with my mother and my sisters and I were getting innoculated at mt. zion hospital in san francisco...we were that young....after the innoculations my mom took us into the lunch room and bought some food...as we sat there....we looked at the next table over, and my sister jumped up and ran over there....saying "it's morticia!!" and sure enought it was carolyn jones...my sister ran up and hugged her...and she hugged her back...saying hello to her and the rest of us...i remember my mother pulling my sister back, telling her she shouldn't force herself on people....so we sat eating, then carylon got up to leave she came over and hugged my two sisters and myself, and told us to be good, and it was nice to meet us......i have loved her ever since. R.I.P sweet woman.

Had no idea how talented she was but I always thought she brought sexiness and humbleness to Morticia. That and the way her and Gomez interacted was so real and genuine. I loved them as a couple. Hard to believe ABC cancelled them so soon, but the show is just great and I LOVED watching it as a kid.

Gee, thanks, that's really sweet of you to say. :) I actually found something on RUclips today. It was a video of John Astin at Monster Mania 13 talking about Carolyn...he said that he actually had a last meeting with her right before she died. He said that up until that point they always knew they were attracted to each other but never said anything more about how they felt, but when he met her that last time they told each other all their feelings and that it was really beautiful.

I just love her!!!. I'm 27 so I was born 24 years after The Addams family was broadcasted, but here in Argentina I remember watching the show as a child, the other kids used to make fun of me for watching and enjoying an "old black and white sitcom" but my thoughts were always the same: "I want to be like Morticia", I saw her as a role model, perfect elegant and smart lady and she made me feel good about myself since I was quite "weird" for the kids of my age, I always liked different things than the rest of people so I felt identified with Morticia's character. It was heart breaking for me when my parents told me she had died many years ago (of course they didn't want to tell me sooner 'cause they knew how much I loved Morticia and Carolyn as an actress in that role). Years passed by and The Addams family movies got out, I loved them and liked Anjelica Huston but for me the one and only Morticia will be Carolyn, after my 20's and thanks to the internet I could learn more about her and got to respect her more than I ever imagined, she won my complete and total admiration and she has a place in my heart. I would've given anything just to have met her at least for 5 minutes and tell her how much I admire her. She was part of my childhood and now she's part of my adult life and I will always love her. I couldn't help but crying at the end of this video. I miss you Carolyn!!! Thank you for sharing your talent with us!.

Thanks so much for uploading this. Carolyn Jones was, without question, one of the most profoundly beautiful, most profoundly talented actresses in the history of film or TV. Beyond her shocking beauty and talent, she had a truly incredible charisma. She was not someone that you simply watched. She was someone that you genuinely felt! Her every performance was a living, breathing thing before you, and she made you love her. By all right, she should have been a major star. She shines forever!

I watched the Aadams Family as a kid (loved it) and never knew that Carolyn had been married to Aaron Spelling. He went on to become one of the wealthiest men in Hollywood and she didn't even request alimony in their divorce settlement even though she was a very vital & strong motivator in building his career. She must have truly loved him. Such a rare occurrence in that environment.

It always struck me as a bit ironic that when an actor/actress really nails a role well, where it is so believable that they can never shake it, they really have accomplished a sort of perfection and then are punished forever by it.

I remember at seven years old, lining up in front of our little black and white television, with my siblings, in our pj’s watching The Addams Family. For me the show has lasted much longer than two seasons, it continues to live inside my memories even these fifty years later. I related to Morticia very much, her obvious joy of life, fierce protection of family and very quick witt. But what I most loved about the show was Gomez and Morticia‘s love affair! Even as a young girl, I desired to have that passion in my future marriage. My sister related to Wednesday, my brother loved the creepiness of the show. Even today my husband loves Uncle Fester! Thank you for putting together this wonderful look down memory lane and the lovely life of Carolyn Jone. 🥰🥰🥰

Her cancer returned in 1982, this time it spread to her liver and stomach, so sad that she grew too sick to hide her illness from friends and family

I know a girl that looks exactly as Carolyn Jones. I mean Exact, height, face, body, except that her eyes are brown. But wow, I don't know if I should ever tell her.

Megan Lee Her husband, aka my friend, might react different from he's wife point of view. I know him so well. But if it was another gal, I would of told her long ago.

Okay, obviously Constance Towers has had quite a face-overhaul since "Capitol"...but is it just me, or has she attempted to make herself look like Carolyn? I mean, compare how she looked in Capitol to how she looks in the interview...similar right? Can't blame her though, Carolyn was beyond gorgeous. Those closeups of her on the Addams series...breathtaking.
