Great video Brad, as always. Great to see your take on the Zemismart products. My only question: how do you get your kids to clean their rooms so well?! 😆 Well done! And thanks for the mention!
Thanks Shane! My daughter is pretty tidy but you will usually find a beyblade, Pokémon or stuffed animal explosion in my son’s room minutes after shooting B roll. 😂
Always good to see your take on these products Brad. I’ll have to test out the issues with colour on the light strip, as I’ve got it here but not properly set up!
Thank you Simon! I’ll be interested to know if you have the same issue. It seems like a fixable issue that can hopefully be resolved via firmware update.
@@TheBradLloyd I just set it up quickly, and so far the colours seem to match ok. So the issue may be related to the strip length perhaps, as I’m only using the 5M one, not the 10m.
I would like to see you do a review on the blinds. Do you know if they will also support Thread like Aqara will be doing in the future? I am glad that there are more options as this will drive competition and hopefully drive prices down. But, I think I will personally be sticking with Aqara for now. But, like I said before, I am glad that there are other options in the HomeKit arena. Options are great!
Great Video, thank You! , I have a problem with my hub, working fine with Tuya and Smartlife but when trying to add to the HomeKit it says connected and in the home settings You can see it but no Icon at all ,- nothing! This means that I can not operate it from Home app... Did all possible resets etc,-result is the same Any Idea what I am doing wrong???
Does the Tuya app expose the already added devices to HomeKit? I have Tuya (wifi) bulbs added to the Tuya smart app. When is pair the hub to the aap, do they expose eveything to HomeKit? Or only the devices that are added through the heb (Zigbee ones).
Great review and good channel. Thanks for sharing. Can I check with you since I’m new here to smart projects. 1. This Zemismart hub is zigbee base therefore I don’t really need to rely on WiFi and it can work without Wifi, right? 2. However if I want to control from anywhere outside the house, I would need Wifi right. How does this work then? Thanks. 3. Does this only works Zemismart products or any HomeKit compatible products?
Bought Tuya Zigbee Multi Mode hub (Moes),no problem on Tuya apps/adding device. Then i realized it show 'not supported' on Home Assistant (under Tuya).Try to using ZHA,but it ask for radio type....Can some1 help me? 😭
Hi Dennis, I have not at all. I have the hub hardwired to my router in a central location. Average size house and no signal issues. Sounds like you are having issues? Can you relocate the hub closer to your lights?
I have been wanting the MoesGo touch switch in black with no neutral for months now, but no Homekit compatibility. There is a Zigbee version available. Since it is a Tuya device, would this hub possibly expose it to Homekit?
Hi Brad, would you know if Zemi will son support Matter? I’ve been buying Zemi wifi switches for one of our property where I use Google home automation.
But will this also integrate the tuya wifi smart breaker switches like their TMW02? Or is it just for zigbee devices? What might I need to get tuya wifi devices controllable from within HomeKit?
matter wont change anything....zigbee "did the same thing"....products are 'locked' to ecosystems because of money, not because there is no protocol they could use
Congratulations on your one year anniversary of providing great HomeKit content. Looking forward to year 2!
Thanks so much Frederick!

@@homekitnews Interesting. Thanks for letting me know. Glad it’s working for you!
Dude!!! Window actuators! That work with HomeKit!!!! We need to see this!!!
Great video Brad!!! I just bought the hub and the 6inch down light. This might just be what I’m looking for (asked you about downlighting on Twitter)
That's great, hopefully that does the trick!
@@TheBradLloyd Judy at Zemismart said it would lol. We will see

Thanks Brad. Good to know there are other, lower cost options out there.
Tks for the video! Do u know how to factory reset it? And no, its not from the back bottom...
Like your detailed video but does this hub support IR/RF to control any brand of Ceiling FAN using HomeKit ?
Hello! Sorry, unfortunately no IR controller with this hub.
I’m looking at getting this hub to control a pool timer that can be controlled in the Tuya app
Great Video, thank You!

Can you test the spotlight from Zemismart?
Do you know if the Tuya ZigBee Smart Knob works with it? (Not just the button clicks, but the rotating dial too as a dimmer)

Hey Brad I just got my Zemismart hub and down light it. Have you had any range (signal) issues?
Hi Dennis, I have not at all. I have the hub hardwired to my router in a central location. Average size house and no signal issues. Sounds like you are having issues? Can you relocate the hub closer to your lights?
@@TheBradLloyd my lights are 12 ft from the hub and not installed in the ceiling yet.
@@DennisWarner Ugh… makes no sense. Perhaps try resetting? Or maybe you got a dud…
@@TheBradLloyd I plan on resetting it

Hi, great video. Question will this connect to the Aqara zigbee motion sensors ???
No, it’s needs to work with Tuya Smart.

Great video. Aquara or Zemismart. Which is better in your opinion?
I like Aqara for their sensors but they don’t have as wide of a variety of products as Zemismart
Louzy product zmhk01 no connection at all and in homekit show only bridge .. curtains no connect
The green and blue issue is due to the wrong wiring. Just switch the cables.
The hub doesn’t have Wi-Fi.
I have the hun dont work with apple homekit tab stay turning with curtain zigbee…. 👎🏻 only rhe tuya app works
