..i sense J Hope's passion in doing this video...J Cole seems to be a legend in hip hop nowadays..both of them form a wonderful collaboration...this video is celestial, artistically speaking. J hope's dancing is also extraordinary..it reminds me of the film Dancing in the Rain with Gene Kelly. The meeting between the 2 worlds is amazingly enriching.

Fun Facts for those who don't know.
J.Cole is j-Hopes biggest influence/inspiration and muse. JHopes album "HOPE WORLD" is a play on J.Coles first album "Cole World". The BTS song "Born Singer" is also a play on J.Coles song "Born Sinner". The Avirex fit jhope is wearing is also homage to J.Cole. The street jhope was on at the beginning is the SAME EXACT street J.Cole filmed his "SIMBA" music video on. And jhope dancing during Coles verse is because jhope before BTS used to dance to J.Cole songs back in the day.. The visual easter eggs and homage paid to J.Cole in this by jhope is insane. Shows his genuine love for a GOAT like J.Cole.
This whole collab is legendary and will be cemented in history forever.. This a big W for Kpop and HipHop

J-Hope is using a lot of intentional symbolism in this video (the side street and intersection from what I understand is inspired by an early J.Cole video, the subway corresponds with JColes bars and the subway stop that inspired Jay Zs moniker, the journey through the streets, through the underground and to the pinnacle (rooftop) where he can finally meet up with his inspiration. He started as an underground hip hop street dancer (thus the underground scene) inspired by the Culture, and has always claimed JCole as a Muse and major inspiration...that's why he gave him 32 bars and danced while he rapped...he came full circle while also leaving this gift for his fans and paying homage to HIS OWN IDOL. DOPE

I wouldn't call bts just a pop group.
They started out doing hiphop inspired by the Very same people they collaborating with today.
Korean hiphop started around the 90s with the rise in television and music shows.
The first 3 members of bts, rm, suga and jhope, were all inspired by 90s hiphop music and later on by artists like nas, eminem, j. cole, and even korean hiphop pioneers like epik high and dynamic duo.
Bts debuted with 7 members, they added 4 vocalists in 2011 when the original line up of rappers (a couple of RMs friends )left the company and only jhope, suga and rm were left. They had to change their plans of debuting as a purely rap crew and decided to include choreographed dancing to make it as an idol group who does hiphop.
BTS debuted with a hiphop track critiquing the korean school system in 2013.
In 2014, in their song 'hiphop phile' from the album Dark and Wild they mention all their influences.
Jhope dedicated two lines of his verse to j. cole in the song.
    Maybe check it out.
Later on in 2015, they almost went broke and thought they were making their last album, cus they were from a small label. They transitioned to include EDM in their music. It became successful in korea. It resulted in the bts sound that is so popular today.
But they are still rooted in hiphop. Its where they started. And the 3 rappers of the group still make songs of this genre.
The vocalists jin, jimin, V and jk all are so versatile and can do anything from rnb to trot to pop rock and ballad. It's makes bts a power house team of musicians.
They can basically take over any genre of music.

Thank you for your reaction. React to Guide to BTS Members:The Bangtan 7" by Taylor. You'll get a better idea of who BTS are and they will definitely suprise you! BTS is made up 4 vocalist and 3 rappers.
