FYI, Score Productions has been out of business for many years so there is nobody there to ask. According to a very reliable industry source, the only known clean copies of this music in existence are in the possession of a third party who has been approached several times about restoring them and releasing them to the public. They were approached most recently in 2018 and said no. It has been said by that same source that not only is that third party unlikely to change their answer, most of the tapes may be too far gone to restore anyway. That collection has been said to include the Whammies as well as the cues themselves. They're more likely to find the body of Jimmy Hoffa tomorrow than we are to hear a single note of the PYL '83 masters at any time in the future. Don't get your hopes up.
@@Elavator66 Sorry, I don't know how to make this clearer. It is not that the tapes are lost and waiting to be found. We know exactly where they are and who has them. If it was as simple as "just releasing them to the fans" it would have already been done; however, the tapes are decaying and in need of intense restoration. Remember we are talking about 40 year old reel to reel tape here. It is not as if these cues are on CD's that can just be put in a computer and uploaded to the internet tomorrow or hidden in some vault at Spotify or Apple music. There is an intense and careful process that must be taken on to render them. That process may destroy them entirely if it is taken on. The third party is not going to risk losing the works entirely to satisfy a few fans on the internet, and I don't blame them at all. Restoration of the tapes is simply not happening now or any time in the future. If you are holding your breath waiting on this to happen you will certainly die. I am sorry if this sounds blunt but it is true.
@@bill4958 What about Freemantle? they currently own some of the master copies of some of the whammy audio & video, and they also own the intro theme and the partial credit theme, so if they have those why not the prize cue? if they knew the mastertapes would eventually deteriorate to a point they would become unplayable, they'd bend over backwards to save everything on them, right?

@Justin Bryant i don't know score, or how you could ask them but they would probably say no because it was made for press your luck only and not really for public release, but it has been roughly 30+ years since press your luck has used the themes they made, so i got hopes we'll hear all the music like the ticket / contestant plug, the commercial returns (big board time and question round time) , and the prize cues in the clear soon, plus we have the intro theme and the partial credit theme already released.
@@justinbryant9419 i don't know they probably don't release them copyright issues with releasing it, but we do have lots of the price is right cues made by score that are old and are released, so that raises the chances of someone finding them or score releasing them
