At my 6 wk post partum check, my Dr asked how are you doing? I said it's nothing a plane ticket out of here can't cure. No follow up response from him.
At 1 yr of undiagnosed ppd, I saw a 20/20 interview with Dr Susan Crawford on ppd. She described my experience exactly. I finally was able to get help, and it was from her. She told me she was making an information video to run in doctor office waiting areas and invited me to be interviewed. I cancelled at the last minute because my mother didn't want me to be public cause of the shame she associated with my experience. It might have helped someone and given me a feeling that my suffering wasn't totally in vain. I deeply regret giving in, but out of respect I had no choice.
It's normal to have these thoughts, but people with post partum depression are NOT supposed to feel this way like we can try thinking that a baby is the most beautiful thing that a woman brings out to the world and it takes a lot lf responsibilities about it, if your thoughts are like "what if I might do something to my baby?" Well it's your intrusive thoughts its planning a what if in your mind but you can remove that thought by focusing on the factual positive ones

Have you ever had ppd yourself?
It's not that simple. If it was, we would all do that and motherhood would be bliss.
@@user-pc5tp2xs1h Its not easy and simple at first but once time goes by with effort then its a process
