So stupid and ignorant of Korea. Adam Levine announced he has ADHD and he takes Adderall too. He still does what he wants to do which is to perform. He still making hits! Then theres Demi Lovato also known to have a mental illness too. In her case she is addicted to cocaine. Did it stop her from singing? Hell no! She's still fighting and she gets back on stage no problem. Korea need to be educated in mental illnesses apart from SATs. Korea has no idea how common mental illness can be. Been seeing all the news about CL leaving YG, Bom making a comeback, Minzy singing 2NE1 songs again and Dara promoting by herself makes me cry. I really want them to reunite even with another company, I think that would be the best tbh.Even better if they can do that with Teddy’s company. The Black Label company (even though its still co-owned by YG, correct me if I’m wrong.) Teddy’s the one that gave 2NE1 amazing songs and he really worked with them very well, that’s why I love Teddy.

I can never, never forgive YG for how he managed 2NE1. It broke my heart when CL talked about how they truly loved to sing/perform and just wanted more chances to do that together. I loved 2NE1 since their debut when I was only in elementary school and can say for a fact that they were truly unique. No other girl group compares. I am always praying that one day down the road they will reunite and perform as 4 again.

It just felt like the entire 2 or 3 years of their career (i excluded the times when they werent active from 2009 to 2014) was just the beggining of something grander than what theyve already did and sadly we wont be able to know and see what it would be as their wings got cut off before they could even soar. I became KPOP fan around year 2009 and grew up watching Suju, Girls Generation, Bigbang, 2ne1, Sistar, it's sad to see some members left and disband. and watching this made me sad. it must have been really hard for them.
samee, i think it was the best era of kpop bc their really try to do the best with their voices, show to the world their talent, no promoting expensive clothes and wonderful faces with glass skin, right now the kpop have changed and it's so commercial and are more interested in have a pretty face than have talent. Even though I'm not a hardcore fan of 2ne1, i got goosebumps while watching it. I somehow feel their pain. They're together for so many years, those happy moments of the past became sweet memories of the present. 😢
Kush became really emotional too because he was really close to 2ne1 as well as teddy. They were with them throughout 2ne1’s whole journey. Like a family. 2ne1 were like their babies back then. They took care of them very well. It’s really a huge pity for them because they know how much of a gem 2ne1 was. They know that 2ne1 deserved more chances as they were such great performers.
I gotta be honest with you guys... being a kpop fan since 2005 is really a blessing... not just because kpop is so very popular now these days, but because we witness a very early era of kpop in which: 2ne1 was there, Girls generation, 4 minute, TvXq, SS501, sistar, Bigbang, Shinee, Fx, super junior, and many more Thats why I was lucky being a kpop stan for 13 years.... And guest what 2ne1 and Bigbang are the ones who introduce me in kpop... thats why this is really a heart breaking moment for me... im gonna miss them, and still will support every single one of them... 2ne1 Forever! ❤❤❤❤

not hating or anything, just correcting that, era of kpop has begun more early before that... if im not mistaken, the generations you mentioned are the 2nd generation... as there are 1st generation of kpop which was the inspiration from them that created many more girl group till the fourth generations we are living now.. i maybe wrong.. but i believe, era of kpop has begun way back more than that..

A mesma não renovou com a YG porque queria focar na carreira solo. Sendo assim, apenas a Chae, Bom e Dara seriam as integrantes do 2ne1. As três renovaram novamente e continuaram na empresa, ok. They have this unique charisma which makes the stage so alive whenever they perform. They were so versatile! They were already expected to make a come back as FOUR, but YG had to be so stupid and selfish!!! I remember being so angry at that time. They had so much potential, they have yet to offer more but they disbanded against their will because YG failed to protect them, they’re own agency failed them. They were one of the most close-knit girl groups, their love for each other always shows, they treated each other as a family -as sisters. I still believe that the reason for their disbandment would have been fixed/solved if only YG took care of them more. I will always be a BLACKJACK and support their solo careers!!!
CL is the best leader ever. 2ne1 was always there for each other, they were always girls chasing their dreams, reaching them and surpassing them. 2ne1 had a huge impact on me, especially since i listened to them as a little girl, 10/11 years old, i used to listen to them everyday all day, i was crazy. 2ne1 will always be in my heart, and i would never forget the beautiful times i have had with them. Im now 17, i always come back home to their songs, to my fire, they make me feel like i am the best, i am busy but i will never go away. 2ne1, i love you :(

JohnMike67 I agree, YG didn't do much to assist the members and the company just moved onto debuting more groups and leaving the other performers behind. So definitely management played a part in the disbandment. I just gave a description of what was going on with each member at that time, because I was seeing a couple people in the comments blaming whichever specific member they felt picking at the time, but when in reality, the situation was much more complicated and the group started drifting to separate ways when YG was not doing anything to assist the group or give them a comeback. Yeah, I don't blame the members for what happened to them, they were just trying to stay in a career path and YG was neglecting it

I really wanted the 4 of them to leave yg and make their own company like what highlight did leaving cube. They had the kpop legend status and strong fanbase it totally could've worked. They might have had to change their name but seeing how well highlight has been doing since losing the beast name (and how happy they are doing what they want) i think it wouldve been worth it

I love CL and I love 2NE1, and as a fan of all styles of music - esp metal - I can honestly say that there aren't too many artists who have put their heart, mind and body into it like CL did .. It's natural for any artist to look back with some regrets or feelings of unfulfillment, but from my perspective, CL is among a very very small group to transcended being just a star or idol and was ( and always will be ) an inspiration and one bad ************ who gave everything she had -- CL, you've got everything in the world to be proud of, in my book, you are an all-time great in the world of music .. An amazing talent

Im always crying while watching this. As a fan and a blackjack, I have seen their hardships from the start. I have always watched them from the beginning until the end. i know right from the very beginning when i stanned them that one day they would eventually disband not only because of their contracts but also considering their ages most especially Bom and Dara. i know one day they would go on their separate ways. but what i love about them until forever is their bond that they had created. not every group that disbanded maintained their friendship or become oped about their group. but 2ne1 is different. they still see each other, sing 2ne1 songs in public, commenting and greeting each other on social media and they support each others back. the group will always be a part of them and their fans, Blackjack will always stay in their hearts. that the name 2NE1 will always be in their life until they will reunite again.

chaerin has such a genuine love for the girls. you can see it so clearly when she talks about them, especially when she said how much they like performing. people don't understand just how much 2ne1 means to her, both as the group and as individuals. we're so lucky to have had her as a leader, i feel like she was ours as well as 2ne1's. she has done such a good job ❤

Sometimes it's good if there's no leader in a group cause the leader always hide their pain. When there's no leader, they can share their pain with each other without has the feeling of "the leader must hide the pain to look strong"

I got into kpop when my mom passed as an escape from the sadness and these groups from 10 years ago helped me through ALOT.... it’s sad to see them breaking up but still happy to know that their music will be out there forever (and saved on my Spotify)

Literally crying 2NE1, BIGBANG, and ShinEE is where my love for kpop and Korean culture all began. To see everyone going there separate ways and even losing members really hurts. To me they made some of the biggest impacts on kpop and the newer generations you can see it in the styles and sounds of newer artists. No one will forget their legacy I only hope one day they can all come back together.

As a blackjack since 2011 till 2NE1 disband, I did not watch this video because my heart will be aching seeing my girls wanted to have more chances to perform. Glad that they are coming back again as a group and really hopping them to see them soon!

This happens a lot with the dancers of the group. I'm not talking about those who are forced to become the dancer of the group just because they have the looks, but the ones that got accepted because their dance skills were very much exceptional. The fact that they get tons of attention pre-debut and suddenly become the least popular one definitely can hit hard. People like Hyoyeon from SNSD and the latest crazy Jooe from Momoland may be able to handle it because of how "I don't give a dang about anyone" but the ones that have weaker mind state can suffer and keep questioning why on earth are they in that kind of position and how different it could have been if they are doing a solo career. Minzy's talent with no doubt is one of the top 3 of kpop female dancer but look at how little she is exposed to the public as compared to her other sisters. In the US she can totally succeed because US people values talent greatly. However in Korea, kpop is very much idol-oriented, one that focuses a lot on looks, especially for girl groups. To add on to all that, she is a magnae and magnaes hardly ever let the older members know what they have in mind just because they are either 'afraid to disappoint' or simply feeling uncomfortable because of korea's culture to respect their older counterparts. I think CL feels guilty because she knows she is the closest in age with Minzy and she must have blamed herself for not realizing it sooner and put extra effort to understand Minzy. I have been a big fan of 2NE1 since debut till right before their disbandment and there has been plenty of clues that Minzy gave in the past that shows although she feels comfortable with the team, but many times she would take herself back to let the others do the talking/be more on the center of the attention more. She keeps holding back and keeping it inside and one day it just destroys her. I do hope companies have psychologists that idols can talk to so in the future people like her won't be left forever feeling like they are 'less' than others just because of how society values looks.

When a group disband in Kpop, I usually see the leader hurt the most. Here, CL hurt the most and other group like iz*one, Kwon eunbi hurt the most. Eunbi even mention her member in her first AAA award wining.

Tbh I’ve been a Blackjack since the very first day. It breaks my heart watching this video. The girls have suffered a lot.
I can never, never forgive YG for how he managed 2NE1. It broke my heart when CL talked about how they truly loved to sing/perform and just wanted more chances to do that together. I loved 2NE1 since their debut when I was only in elementary school and can say for a fact that they were truly unique. No other girl group compares. I am always praying that one day down the road they will reunite and perform as 4 again.

I became KPOP fan around year 2009 and grew up watching Suju, Girls Generation, Bigbang, 2ne1, Sistar, it's sad to see some members left and disband. and watching this made me sad. it must have been really hard for them.

Kush became really emotional too because he was really close to 2ne1 as well as teddy. They were with them throughout 2ne1’s whole journey. Like a family. 2ne1 were like their babies back then. They took care of them very well. It’s really a huge pity for them because they know how much of a gem 2ne1 was. They know that 2ne1 deserved more chances as they were such great performers.

A mesma não renovou com a YG porque queria focar na carreira solo. Sendo assim, apenas a Chae, Bom e Dara seriam as integrantes do 2ne1. As três renovaram novamente e continuaram na empresa, ok. They have this unique charisma which makes the stage so alive whenever they perform. They were so versatile! They were already expected to make a come back as FOUR, but YG had to be so stupid and selfish!!! I remember being so angry at that time. They had so much potential, they have yet to offer more but they disbanded against their will because YG failed to protect them, they’re own agency failed them. They were one of the most close-knit girl groups, their love for each other always shows, they treated each other as a family -as sisters. I still believe that the reason for their disbandment would have been fixed/solved if only YG took care of them more. I will always be a BLACKJACK and support their solo careers!!!

This isn't the fault of anyone specific. Fate just lined up this way. Bom went into hiding, Dara and CL went into their own careers and Minzy was left behind, YG was already debuting more and more groups with no foreseeable comeback for 2NE1. I hope they are all successful and happy in what they do from here on.
I'm not sure where exactly she is staying but as of currently she still primarily promotes in the US. She did however perform in the closing of the 2018 Winter Olympics
JohnMike67 I agree, YG didn't do much to assist the members and the company just moved onto debuting more groups and leaving the other performers behind. So definitely management played a part in the disbandment. I just gave a description of what was going on with each member at that time, because I was seeing a couple people in the comments blaming whichever specific member they felt picking at the time, but when in reality, the situation was much more complicated and the group started drifting to separate ways when YG was not doing anything to assist the group or give them a comeback. Yeah, I don't blame the members for what happened to them, they were just trying to stay in a career path and YG was neglecting it

The reason why I’m telling you all of this is because the first time I saw Park Bom was 11 years ago. However, it was only four years ago, after speaking with her father, that I found out of her old dreams of becoming a soccer player or of her traumatic experience as a child. As much as this is something even her fellow 2NE1 members did not know, that’s how much I didn’t want to put Park Bom through the recollection of those memories again.
While it’s become a situation where I have no choice but to reveal this, Park Bom had, until four years ago, continuously taken medication prescribed to her by an American university hospital. Due to a busy schedule, she was unable to return to the States for some time, and in the process of having her mother and grandmother receive the medications through post for her, it was stopped at customs, as amphetamines are banned in Korea.
Thankfully, the hospital provided medical records and prescriptions for the investigation, and the case was wrapped up with no further issues.
2NE1 is busy with their world tour schedule right now, and I hadn’t seen Park Bom in a while. But last night, I saw Park Bom crying all night, because of the reports that were released, and was conflicted on whether to talk about something from her past that Park Bom wouldn’t want to bring up.

CL finally brought 2NE1 back. 😭 I have so much respect for her 😭
Literally crying 2NE1, BIGBANG, and ShinEE is where my love for kpop and Korean culture all began. To see everyone going there separate ways and even losing members really hurts. To me they made some of the biggest impacts on kpop and the newer generations you can see it in the styles and sounds of newer artists. No one will forget their legacy I only hope one day they can all come back together.
Wishing that one day, 2NE1 will be back again as a group because this is their passion, to perform and inspire people with their music. Hoping for the best for 2NE1 members. You'll always have a place in our hearts - so much love from your PH fans 🇵🇭
As a blackjack since 2011 till 2NE1 disband, I did not watch this video because my heart will be aching seeing my girls wanted to have more chances to perform. Glad that they are coming back again as a group and really hopping them to see them soon!

This happens a lot with the dancers of the group. I'm not talking about those who are forced to become the dancer of the group just because they have the looks, but the ones that got accepted because their dance skills were very much exceptional. The fact that they get tons of attention pre-debut and suddenly become the least popular one definitely can hit hard. People like Hyoyeon from SNSD and the latest crazy Jooe from Momoland may be able to handle it because of how "I don't give a dang about anyone" but the ones that have weaker mind state can suffer and keep questioning why on earth are they in that kind of position and how different it could have been if they are doing a solo career. Minzy's talent with no doubt is one of the top 3 of kpop female dancer but look at how little she is exposed to the public as compared to her other sisters. In the US she can totally succeed because US people values talent greatly. However in Korea, kpop is very much idol-oriented, one that focuses a lot on looks, especially for girl groups. To add on to all that, she is a magnae and magnaes hardly ever let the older members know what they have in mind just because they are either 'afraid to disappoint' or simply feeling uncomfortable because of korea's culture to respect their older counterparts. I think CL feels guilty because she knows she is the closest in age with Minzy and she must have blamed herself for not realizing it sooner and put extra effort to understand Minzy. I have been a big fan of 2NE1 since debut till right before their disbandment and there has been plenty of clues that Minzy gave in the past that shows although she feels comfortable with the team, but many times she would take herself back to let the others do the talking/be more on the center of the attention more. She keeps holding back and keeping it inside and one day it just destroys her. I do hope companies have psychologists that idols can talk to so in the future people like her won't be left forever feeling like they are 'less' than others just because of how society values looks.
*Finally someone who gets it! There were many clues! I wasn't surprised at all when she mentioned it on Sisters Slam Dunk* update : her billboard interview makes a lot of sense as well

When a group disband in Kpop, I usually see the leader hurt the most. Here, CL hurt the most and other group like iz*one, Kwon eunbi hurt the most. Eunbi even mention her member in her first AAA award wining.

And to this day I can NEVER understand how CL's solo stan can hate and shade Minzy in Twitter from time to time. You seriously hating on a girl that CL used to walk to school during their trainee days? You hate on a girl that CL calls her own daughter? You really hate on this girl that CL treated as her own little sister? What do these solo stans trying to prove?! Do you really think CL will be proud of your attitude especially towards the person she sees as her own family? Not liking 2ne1 as a group is one thing, but shading and disrespecting the other girls is too much. Remember CL literally risked her own life for her member when Dara got stucked in the 20 plus floor building during an earthquake in Japan! She is ready to risk it all for her members and these solo stans trying say shi+ on other girls are literally clueless and stupid.
when her voice cracked saying, "I must be crazy" I started crying. It's 2018 and I still cry about their disbandment. CL was right. They deserved more chances. If only they didn't disband...if only..
