"Sing for the Light overwhelms the dark" - Amen! Oh, how much we need to keep reminding ourselves this for there is much 'dark' in our world (always has been). Ever increasing attacks upon Biblical principles, good being called evil and evil good. So let us keep singing about the Light of the world - Jesus!
You guys bless the church with your music and lyrics. Thank you for words like “King who came with no crown or throne” and “Maker of Mary now Mary’s son.” Glory to God. Praise be to Him. Thank you Lord for the faith that you give, that we would believe in You, that we can sing these words and know that they are true about You, Lord Almighty.
MERRY CHRISTMAS! Isaiah 7:14: "Therefore the LORD shall give you a sign; behold, a virgin shall conceive, and bear a son, and call His name Immanuel." Hebrew: עִמָּנוּאֵל, "God with us" in human flesh but without sin. The Savior of the world was born to die for our sins! He did so 33 years later. His terrible ordeal; body mutilated; blood poured out, finally died and was placed in a tomb and rose from the dead the 3rd day ! "HE IS RISEN" Matthew 28:6.
Nice song but Ahmanual was not born in the dead of winter. He was born now, in the spring. This is His time....JC was born in the winter . Xmas is his day, not Ahmanuals...2 totally different people. The Most High hates your feasts and the Xmas tree. Jer ch 10.
Jesus knows His beloved. The good Shepherd knows His Sheep. They hear His Voice, and know Him. Accents don't bother Him. Quibbling about calendars never seem to be a focal point for Him. He just wants you. Love Him.
I think the Bass player must have been dating who ever put together this video. It's obvious they had a terribly bad breakup. She is still pining for his love and affections. She finds it to heartbreaking to look upon his face. That is why we see everyone on the stage multiple times, but never the bass man whos sweet melodies first stole then broke her fragile hart.
Brad Huckins Yahusha Ha’Mashiach was born on the first day of the Feast of Tabernacles. Not on the pagan feast of Nimrod. Our Mashiach came to fulfill the Torah and the prophets. Blessed be Yahuah our Elohiym.
I once loved rock & roll it was my god, many were the songs I would headbang too, as much as I love Keith and Kristyn Getty, I am not a fan of these big productions, that makes me think that the industry has crept in and lead them away from the simple and beautiful songs they began with.
An interesting conundrum, to be sure. Philosophical/theological question: how do Christians handle change? Max Lucado and other Church of Christ adherents (and Reformed Presbyterians) have not given in: no instruments allowed, period. Years ago, men like us would dress up with ties for church. How many are clamoring to go back to that simpler dress code? Personally, I detect a difference between the Gettys, et. al., and the Charismatic-driven presentations. I hate to admit that some of the more Charismatic shows like "Graves into Gardens" are quite exciting, but could that be the flesh? (Dec. 7, 2020.)
@@warrenwilson4818 to be sure I believe the Gettys are lovers of Jesus and that is reflected in so many of their songs, while some of the stuff I fell in love with from them was simple and modest, several songs just Keith and Kristyn, and it was those simple songs that bonded me to them knowing that Kristyn was singing to the Lord, you could feel it that it was true worship from her heart that was pouring out of her. I am trying to be careful about what I offer to God as worship, as a former rock & roller of about 50 years, that stuff was in my mind like nobodies business. Eze 22:26 Her priests have violated my law, and have profaned mine holy things: they have put no difference between the holy and profane, neither have they shewed difference between the unclean and the clean, and have hid their eyes from my sabbaths, and I am profaned among them. 2Co 6:14 Be ye not unequally yoked together with unbelievers: for what fellowship hath righteousness with unrighteousness? and what communion hath light with darkness? 2Co 6:15 And what concord hath Christ with Belial? or what part hath he that believeth with an infidel? 2Co 6:16 And what agreement hath the temple of God with idols? for ye are the temple of the living God; as God hath said, I will dwell in them, and walk in them; and I will be their God, and they shall be my people. 2Co 6:17 Wherefore come out from among them, and be ye separate, saith the Lord, and touch not the unclean thing; and I will receive you, 2Co 6:18 And will be a Father unto you, and ye shall be my sons and daughters, saith the Lord Almighty. so I want to be particular about what I offer to God, and I do not like the mixing that I have seen happening, I remember when Stryper first came out "a Christian rock band" know for throwing bibles out to the audience. That is why I do not observe Christmas, as we have no command to do so, and that it is offering false worship so that the only one being worshiped is the enemy. it is chock-full of paganism and got started with the catholic church as the Christ-mass, essentially they took the roman pagan celebration of Saturnalia and rubberstamped Jesus on it to bring the pagans into the church changing the name from Saturnalia to Christmas, the same debauchery just repackaged with Christian stamped on it, and the pagans said well since we get to keep our Saturnalia we will join you. So I am weary of things that are too close to the world for comfort. ruclips.net/video/hEYgLhGGdF8/видео.html before we could get there, there had to be other dominos previously that lead up to bringing full-blown worldly rock and roll into the church. ruclips.net/video/-xY-Lx8_fN0/видео.html I am not a fan of drums in the church, we have a drum kit and even though I know the guy playing it is a true lover of Jesus and would not do what was done in the last video link, still as tame as he is, the drums still overpower the piano and organ sometimes, that is just the nature of drum, we had a drum screen but it broke and was not replaced. sorry for the length, I wish I could write less, I just do not know how to say what I want with fewer words.
Nothing wrong with putting on big concerts. The point is that these songs are indeed ‘simple’ enough to be able to used for small family worship (like the Gettys recorded for several months this year) or for big musical productions. The goal is to give people songs with rich meaning that are singable by congregations no matter what instrumentation is available.
@Steven Moore Good comment. I struggle too when these things become big productions that make us feel good rather than simple wholehearted worship of the Lord. As far as musical instruments go, we find there use in the OT and in Heaven Rev 5:8, 14:2, 15:2, 18:22, Also while we are no longer under the Law (schoolmaster) but under Grace, we still use the OT 2Ti 3:14 But continue thou in the things which thou hast learned and hast been assured of, knowing of whom thou hast learned them; 2Ti 3:15 And that from a child thou hast known the holy scriptures, which are able to make thee wise unto salvation through faith which is in Christ Jesus. 2Ti 3:16 All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness: 2Ti 3:17 That the man of God may be perfect, throughly furnished unto all good works. The only scriptures Timothy could have had from a child was the OT, as the New Testament would not be finished until around 90 AD and not gathered and joined with the OT until about 370-420 AD. They taught and preached Christ from the OT while the NT was still being written. In the OT we have all of the prophecies of the coming messiah, those are still important in the teaching and preaching of Christ to this very day, and are not obsolete, also we have other prophecies like in Jeremiah about the Jews being gathered back to their own land from all the nations where God had driven them. May 14, 1948, Israel became a Nation again after 2,000 years of exile. and they are no more 2 sticks but one. In Zac 14 we have a prophecy of the Millennial Reign of Christ, also we have the history of the Jewish people, their kings and what they went through and we are told not to do as they did as they are an example for us. We are not done with the OT it is not passed away yet and still relevant to this day, many sing the Psalms, draw comfort from the Psalms. What I am getting at is that we do indeed still use the OT as a part of the complete canon of scripture, and if this canon is still relevant for preaching and teaching, prophesies, history, then so is the use of musical instruments being justified from the OT perspective.
let us sing to you Lord regardless of circumstance for that is why we were made for
I wish to thank you for sharing this awesome Christian , Christmas music video with me . Amen
Tell the world his name is Jesus!!!!!! Emmanuel!!! God is with us!!!

My wife and I were there when this was recorded live. Awesome song. Sing!
Me too. A fun night.

People who actually put deep thought into the words they put together to sing. Great job!
Good job on the lyrics.
Absolutely LOVE the violin line over the ending glorias!
Yes, violins make so unusual

Agree about the violins: brilliant unique integration

Amen 😇
I’m pretty sure I hear hammered dulcimer in the audio, but I don’t see a dulcimer anywhere in the video. Maybe a nice little addition in post.
I want to thank the sound engineer(s)/whoever did the mix for this recording. this is one of the best sounding recordings i've heard.
The Gettys and their team always sound good. I agree the technicians have it right. 👍

Please put lyrics up
I like this - although in places, you have to work hard to fit the words in!
Love this song! What is the wind instrument being played?
I love this as well. I'm not sure at all if this is right, but it may be a 'low whistle' which is a type of 'tin whistle/flageolet'... maybe.

The most high hates your attitude buddy. Didn't even spell Immanuel right

That is quite a bit of speculation… unless you have some particular insights? Probably a completely different reason.

FWI saying Yahusha doesn't make you any more 'spiritual.'
@Steven Moore Exactly.
