- Hey guys, I recently got a package of some 1955 LVC Jeans, and thought I might show you all what you get when you order a pair as well as my collection of LVC.
Please note, that while I do work at a Levi's Outlet store, I did not receive these jeans for free from Levi's, nor did they ask me to make a video or anything of the sort.
levis denim fade very slow so just enjoy wearing them forget the fades they come with time with zero effort.
The reason denims were controversial for school wear was because in the 50s only greasers and JDs (juvenile delinquents) wore jeans. Kids from 'good' families basically dressed like their Moms and Dads.
yup, pretty much just slacks or suit pants up until then. Really glad that changed with the Marlon Brando + James Deans of the world.

Levi's stopped making LVC and all products in the USA after 2018, maybe some last few in 2019

That’s what I’ve been calling 501 jeans for the longest time.
The 1955's have a looser fit. I wear them with sweatpants in the winter.

I own a pair of LVC 1947 New Rinse that I love in size 33x34 and they fit me really well. I want to add another pair of LVC to my rotation and I'm thinking 1955 in the Rigid colourway. I noticed that your 47 are the same size as mine but perhaps yours are Rigid and you shrunk them? I definitely need L36 in 1955 but I wonder what waist size I'd need. 34?
Well, the 47s I own haven’t been soaked yet, so they haven’t shrunk any, but they are the rigid variety. My size is about 32-33 but with isolation weight I’ve gained about 15 pounds in the stomach, so once gyms open up they should fit easier on me. One thing I’ll say is that the 55s are really big, at least my 34s in rigid were when I first got them. Shrinking them has made them fit a lot better, but I still need a belt to wear them. The 55s have a boxier fit, which roughly translates to more room in the whole pant, so you might be good with a 34 in rigid, I am by no means an expert in Shrink To Fit just yet!
with the old cone denim goe true to size with the 55. with the new made in Bulgaria size up .
most people would soak STF as they are unsanforized, sanforized on the other hand doesn't matter as much if you wear raw or soak. not soaking unsanforized is a big mistake. i just lay them flat in the tub for 20 mins with warm water but not hot. i dont get into the tube myself thats crazy. After shrink they will be 12.5-13.5oz give or take.
They're outsourced to Turkey because Turkey is a great supplier of selvedge denim.
Made in Bulgaria. Denim is japanese from Kaihara Mills.

@@svtrader Did you even watch the video? The guy even said said "they're usually made in Bulgaria". I own a pair and YES the tag says "made in Bulgaria". The actual denim is sourced from Kaihara Mills (just like Topnotcher told you).

@@svtrader Yeah I have.. He says "all my other pairs are made in Bulgaria". And yes Topnotcher is right; the selvedge is sourced from Kaihara Mills in Japan.

if you wear 1947 in a W33 then in the 1955 you are a W32 max W33.
You’re doing it all wrong. Wear these jeans working on a car, doing a garden, beat them up, patch them, they are very robust, the more you beat them, the better they look. They are meant to be waist overalls, not prissy fancy pants.
