ds music was composed to be played on tiny speakers so they made weird but cool stuff with that limitation of the speaker that was low in volume and only could make mid frequencies. so the ds music was made very loud without much room for the tones to be dynamic in any way and usually just used the lowest sound that speaker can produce as the “low” part which was still kind of high. being limited really does make people create different but even better stuff

True! It’s a weird dynamic. It definitely sounds different than a true 11 chord. And here it almost evokes a polytonal sound. Also your outfits ate, it’s the children who are wrong.
For me, part of the hybrid chords' charm is that what would've been the third of the 11th chord (for example the Gb over the Eb11) is left ambiguous and I feel like this gives it a distinct sound!

Expanding that 332 rhythm out is always such a great idea… I’ve heard it called a Nashville triplet or tresillo. If a tresillo is 332, and a double tresillo is 333322, then a triple tresillo should be 333333332222. So that extended rhythm is a triple tresillo where the composer decided to be interesting and turn the first three “2’s” into two “3’s” instead. If I had to pick a key for the first section I would describe it as Eb mixolydian with mode mixture.
