This channel is something special, for sure. It has that old youtube vibe of off the cuff, hanging out with friends and just doing what’s fun, even though it’s obviously far more professionally filmed.
Lessons learned from this battlereport: - You will likely want a dedicated spot to roll the dice, so you don't have to hold it - If you have slopes you might want to make matching transparent (plastic/resin) surfaces that can be attached there, creating an even base for the models so they will less likely fall. - translucent and shiny dice are bad for the camera... In any case, it was a nice match! Looking forward to see you playing around on other battlegrounds!
You guys nearly gave me a heart attack with Dave's model carelessness. And then when the drop actually happened, all I could do was sit here in shock. I was just stuck with my hands covering my mouth for some extended period of time, knowing this pain all too well from the inattention of others. DAVE, YOU RUN A STORE!!! HOW ARE YOU THIS UNAWARE?!?!?
Or maybe instead of getting better dice add a graphic on the screen that reveals the Roll's results. This way we can see the result and could add effects to the numbers for successes and failures.
@@ithalathegayguy yeah or just stand in the back and roll there with a small table for the box to roll in and move when required no need to leanover said models and risk nudge them off the play field
So small suggestion to tweak the rules if you guys do something like this again. With your abilities that go off on a 18-20 each round you fail to do it the skill check should go down 1. So 1st is 18-20 then after a failed check 2nd round 17-20 and so on until you pass. Then it resets back to 18-20. Or even start at 19-20 and work your way down each round.
I forgot to comment... This was fun, hilarious at times and very very VERY entertaining... And salute to you guys for coming up such detailed rule set...
This was fun and hope to see more "vs" games. I can only suggest putting the dice tray on its own table for more consistent rolls and less chaos outside of battle.
It was really fun to watch! But I would like if for the next one you can show the stats of the creatures or a link to the stats in the description to follow better what's happening :)
OMG! This was awesome! And when Dave “killed” his angel and Jazza’s demon by accidentally knocking them off the table, I laughed so hard I think I woke up the neighbours 🤣🤣🤣
You should have made the dice-box out of plexiglass in the middle of the board with a little lip and clouds wrapped around it. That way you don't have to hold the box all the time. You could then put the islands on little hinges so they move over the box.
This looked like great fun. For future reference, I imagine increasing the range of successes/failures on the recharge/resurrect/crumble rolls would make the game more dynamic (maybe 16-20/1-5 instead?), and the demons should have the ability to kamikaze themselves onto an island once they occupy one of them, immediately adding a despoil counter to it, if uncontested. It would make sense, and add another level of strategic depth to it :)
Have a table or a plinth set up to house the dice roll box things. That way you don't need to reach over the battlefield. Two would let it so you don't have to reach over at all, if you each have one. Also means less picking up dice.
Yeah. The one disadvantage with printed mini's more then anything is that they are frail. I had ordered several from hero forge and similar websites that all fractured or suffered damage in some way. So yeah; those angels and demons with all those little frail eras posing on chains? Basically a crumble disaster waiting to happen. Highly entertaining video! Thanks for your chaotic energy and demostration of Cojent!
If you wanted to do more stuff with 3D printed models I recommend starting to use something like Elegoo ABS-Like resin or Syratech resin as they are more durable and handle impacts better.
I'm just 5 minutes in and I am already enjoying it! Edit: First time watching a battle report and I absolutely LOVED it!!! It was so fun to watch and I hope there might be more of this in the future! (Plus the mini's and the decor looked awesome!) The only disappointing thing was that it wasn't a longer video... ;)
The demons should probably have less chance of crumbling when they're on the volcano to represent the chaotic energies fueling them. Also a dedicated dice camera/ rolling are would probably mean less hassle overall!
An Angel fighting a Demon atop an erupting volcano; that should be available as a poster and a t-shirt and a prog-rock concept album. Strategist, all your plans turn to ashes.
I feel that, given the angel can come back only a single turn after its defeat and its innate advantage in combat, 16+ should've been the respawn count
This is so much fun to watch honestly cannot wait for your future battle reports! Honestly amazing work guys. A suggestion I would make would be to have a fixed spot for the dice tray rather than it being held above the table. This would take away the chance for errors like knocking over terrain pieces or models, or dices rolling again after being rolled if the tray is not held flat. Looking at you 29:56 😉😂
I missed this vid when it launched but I'm glad i watched! I think for your next Battlefield it would be cool if you built in a dice tray or a stand for it!
The chaotic energy in this video is magnificent.
Now this was entertainment. I lost count how many 17s Jazza got rolling for his respawns 🤣🤣🤣 EDIT: Ending was hilarious btw
That was fun :-)
Agreed!
Definitely
I fucking love the humour of this channel. And the absolute randomness and chaotic energy emanated. That ending was random and hilarious.

@@doubtful_seer Well said!
jazza hamming it up for the camera in the player intros is the best thing i've seen all year
“With seven successes I kill all the demons”
- I lived for the evil smile that came after that.
How many times have you commented my guy?
I count two
3
This series was so amazing and so fitting

"crumble check, crumble check jazz! Roll a one" haha this was so fun to watch
Dave: I'm gonna stab you in the back
Jazza: in the game?
Dave hiding a knife: oh! Yeah yeah, that's what I meant
I love how Jazza's horns come out of his ears
Those where flame elf ears duh haha
"find out soon in the battle of the nerds" - Dave
The game your playing actually looks really neat and fun. I might have to try this. :)
I simply love all of the effects! The laser eyes and the number of success of dice! I love it! MORE!
I'd suggest having more space around the table to avoid falls like the one that ended it but I know that is hard. Otherwise no need to change anything
Metal plates and magnetic bases would help...
Pure gold, i understood none of the rules, but loved every minute of it! 👍👍👍
I've been anticipating this so badly, and now I can't wait for more of these.
So awesome!!!!
I love that you painted the background like a sky!
That looked like awesome fun and the way it ended had me laughing out aloud, almost waking my sleeping family 😂. Well played.
"It's because they didn't understand how the game worked, and now they do."
"Is 'they' you?"
🤣🤣🤣
i sure didn't understand anything lol
I know this is a weird thing to compliment, but i really like the way the dices look
Same. Especially jazza's d6's
yeah me too

jazza being the demon is very fitting with his chaotic energy
It was pretty fun, but if you want to do more battle reports. Get better dice for the camera!
Or maybe instead of getting better dice add a graphic on the screen that reveals the Roll's results. This way we can see the result and could add effects to the numbers for successes and failures.
When your models disintegrate at the end of the game.
This was fantastic! I hope you're able to do more in the future!
i feel like you could have had a beter spot for rolling the dice to avoide to smach you figurines on the floor
Yeah, they could have each had their own box to roll in on the side with a camera showing their rolls
@@ithalathegayguy yeah or just stand in the back and roll there with a small table for the box to roll in and move when required no need to leanover said models and risk nudge them off the play field
Could you do a video explaining how to use minis using Cogent?

Loooooooove the battle reports - please do more they are so awesome to watch x
I really like this format, so epic to watch 👁👄👁
Jazza: It’s over, Dave! I have the High Ground!
Dave: you underestimate my power
Centimeters based game. I already love it.
For balancing, I think the demons get a -1 to the die requirement per turn they are out of action. Round 1:18+, Round 2:17+, Round 3:16+
so much more entertaining than most battle reports on YT, and that terrain is sick!
I recommend magnets at the bottoms of the figures.
Dave throwing down the minis at the end is such a mood. Me. Always. XD
Do more battle reports please
This was really cool and funny,
Thanks for the great content
Wow this was something I could watch over and over
Finally! The time has come! The Tabletop Time!
TACC!! HOLY CRAP Y'ALL BEED BLUE TACC FOR YOUR MINIS! Everytime they break I cry.
This is amazing. We need a pdf with the rules and stats for the minis to play at home!
Wow! Crazy ending didn't expect that.
This was amazing!! i look forward to more battle reports!
This was so fun to watch. I was worried the models were going to fall and then they finally did and it was hilarious
I forgot to comment... This was fun, hilarious at times and very very VERY entertaining... And salute to you guys for coming up such detailed rule set...
This is awesome. Loving the effects, and let me just say you guys are an absolute treasure!
That was so much fun to watch ❤️

That was
Quite possibly the best battle report
Love where the horns were on Jazza. They looked like elf ears
1. More space around the table so you can walk around it.
2. Dedicated dice tray camera.
This was so much fun! You HAVE to use that terrain again!
So much fun! Thanks for such amazing content!
This is the type of game play I could really enjoy. So much quicker than 40k. So much fun!
Best two out of three at the exact middle of the video. I wonder how this is going to pan out.
Edit: Did not expect that ending.
This is my favourite video on this channel
28:01 Foreshadowing at its finest
So much fun! You could put metal under the bases of your miniatures to stabelize their stand.
We did :)
@@TabletopTime now that you say, I remember from the last videos. Was late yesterday 😅 hope you can still safe the minis!
It was really fun to watch! But I would like if for the next one you can show the stats of the creatures or a link to the stats in the description to follow better what's happening :)
*demon model breaks* "I choose to see this as a feature"
I think we have a new niche in wargaming here.
I just loved all of this. Was the best!!
Glad I am a Patreon member of this channel. Keep up the great work!
OMG! This was awesome! And when Dave “killed” his angel and Jazza’s demon by accidentally knocking them off the table, I laughed so hard I think I woke up the neighbours 🤣🤣🤣
I enjoyed this way too much! Totally epic and hilarious and very playable rules.

RIP minis. You were glorious while you lasted lol

More like this please!!
Really enjoyed it. Would be good to have the dice roles shown on the screen as little dices in the corner so it is easier to see the results
Knowing they probably won't ever re-glue those again, I wish I could do it for them. Those were some epic designs.
Stronger less brittle material for your mini 3d printing. Have you thought maybe creating a mold from the 3d print and making it pewter?
I'm just 5 minutes in and I am already enjoying it!

Very cool effects
Ouch! You guys need a glued down dicetray on the side! Nice batrep!
Omfg, that hair flip was actually pretty good. 😂
Jazza: I'm a chaotic player
Dave: *breaks the minis by mistake *
Looks so much fun! I definitely need to try this! Also, that ending 🤣🤣
And here I was thinking that Rob's models had a rough time a few videos ago...
larger base/mat, or smaller playing area with the same base/mat and add cloud padding on the base/mat so models won't break on falls.
Felt pretty dice chucky. Wouldn't mind to see you guys play a bit deeper of a game with this gorgeous terrain and minis.
The demons should probably have less chance of crumbling when they're on the volcano to represent the chaotic energies fueling them.
Also a dedicated dice camera/ rolling are would probably mean less hassle overall!
Amazing video! :D Loved every moment!
the dust crumbling and respawning mechanic is so fun!
and please for the love of god set up the dice box next time lmao
oh my god it got even worse xD

New drinking game...take a drink every time Jazza has to move the dice tray!

The demon respawns should be decided by six-sided dice, so rolling 6-6-6 brings them all back.
That'd be cool and 3/20 is close enough to 1/6
This is awesome, it had me crying 🤣 can't wait for the next battle report 💯
Dave had me dying laughing 😂
