Never thought I'd see the day! I remember doing an entire marathon of your walkthroughs last year (even watching/listening at night) and thought to myself "There's one review he's been missing for years: Castle of Deceit on NES.". So I searched all over RUclips, Google, and even the Web Archive/Wayback Machine...it was nowhere to be found, other than the video link, but has been deleted as you mentioned. Proud of you for managing to revisit this game, Aqualung! You never fail to disappoint me!
I never saw the original review but it does suck that it’s basically lost media now. Hopefully somebody out there has the OG vid downloaded somewhere. One can only hope…
So Bunch Games is actually Color Dreams which if you know anything about Color Dreams, you know them also as Wisdom Tree. Bunch Games was a label for the company. Apparently it was used for their games Color Dream thought was low quality. But that doesn’t quite add up since I believe they used the same cartridge design and didn’t seem to try to hide that Color Dreams made it. I’m guessing the label was used to try to avoid Nintendo. Which was partly way they later changed their name to Wisdom Tree. Since it wouldn’t have looked good for Nintendo if they want after a religious company.
I understand that this game is unfinished, it needed a ton more work to add in things like ducking, crawling, better attacks, defense (shield/armor), and more inspired sprites and music, but if it had all those things, I do think this game could be a classic. Maybe with some repaired jumping programming.
I have a suggestion. Do you think you could do Master System, 7800, or Turbografx-16/PC-Engine games? You like the NES so those would be in your wheelhouse.
The music sounds like someone who knew nothing about playing piano tried to make a song using only the black keys. I don't mean that literally, but that's the overall grating impression it gives me.
I kind of remember that old collaboration video. Revver so it must of been around 2008. Revver was one of the sites that Playitbogart went to upload videos. I'm not sure what the appeal was but I believe if I'm not mistaken the site offered revenue sharing for content creators. Then it ceased to exist.
Glad to see a re-review of this turd after the original was lost and oy...I'd rather stick _Peter Pan & The Pirates_ in my NES than play this turd, but then again, I ain't surprised that it's this wretched as Bunch Games was, unsurprisingly, a label the infamous Color Dreams used before eventually rebranding to Wisdom Tree (you can even hear the "Color Dreams sound" in that music).
I thought this looked spookily familiar. A shame that the original is lost but in a way, revisiting an older reviewed game can be fun I think. I guess it could have been a better game though. =D
Good gosh you weren't kidding, this game is a total shlt show! no wonder i've never heard of it, the game legitimately looks and plays like something from Action 52.
Life may really suck for me right now but it's nice to be able to log in watch one of the consistent classic YT channels that never disappoints..

I love the way you showed the instruction booklet in the beginning. Really added depth to what you were saying and looked very professional.
The side scrolling bits looks and plays like an Action 52 game
Aqua lung game reviews will never die!
Aqualung, are you going to review Blaster Master, Strider, and Kid Icarus for NES at some point?
You are an all time classic channel and its great seeing you rereview this infamous stinker.
Koi Kitsune, that's a name I haven't heard in a long, long time. I used to enjoy his videos back in the day, hopefully he's doing okay.
Nice to see more from you again. How brave of you to revisit this torturous game when the original collab episode is all but lost now.
Would you ever review Battletoads, one of the hardest games on the NES?

I have a copy of the original review. I'll get it to you.
Thanks!
Hopefully higher quality than mine, which I found just now. 360p
@@ToHoldNothing Same for me, but at least it's not gone forever.
I miss KoiKitsunes train simulator reviews. Not sure why, I don’t even play those games but for whatever reason I liked watching those

This game has some lovely classic artstyle! What ashame is such a mess as it seems to be "magic Contra". IT could have been a classic...
You know what would be cool? If you and Hannu did a cartoon teaser of this!

Hey Aqualung, did you ever get into the among us craze? Did you play with a friend group?

What is this, Castlevania? Milon's Secret Castle? No, it's... castle of deceipt? Deceipt is right if you thought you were getting a good game.

To quote Filmnstuff from his Tagin' Dragon review: "If I didn't know any better, I'd swear this was an Action 52 game! It's just that bad!"
10:29 "Among Us ghost"! 😂
Castle of Desheet.
Buncha 💩 Games is more like it.
