I like this concept of "realistic" mining, however it would fit more with the theme of Minecraft if it broke into little bits that are square. The fact that they are leaning more towards the "realistic" side of things has always bugged me
The idea of being able to break "micro"blocks in a block is a really cool idea, even if it was limited. Imagine being able to add detailing into wood and make patterns or carvings.
there's a bit of wood carving in a game called "Vintage story". it's plays very similar to the mod "terrafirmacraft" so if taht's not really your style i'd just keep it on the radar for now, as it's still in alpha. there is still a whole slew of things to do though.
That one mobile game where you tap the squares of a cube on a mmo basis and the first person to the center of this absolutely humongous cube gets a prize or something
Here's an idea; instead of blocks being per pixel, the blocks are normal but breaking blocks are broken by pixel. Pixels break by ticks instead of normal block breaking (time wise) and better tools will be bigger breakage. (I.e. wood breaks 1x1 and stone breaks 2x2 and so on.)
Advantages & Disadvantages Advantage - in one complete block of diamond you get 9 or above diamonds. Disadvantage - it took 20 seconds to break a complete diamond block.
Oh my Non-Euclidean and Realistic Block physics together would make a perfect combo!!! but the chisel and bits work better because it was made for its size.
Suppose you are in a cave and suddenly zombies and creepers appears and to escape them u have to mine through blocks. And u are having this REALISTIC MINECRAFT. 😑😑 aww man.!!

That diamond ore is just made of tiny stone and wool blocks and they look like a diamond block altogether. So he is actually giant.
This would make mining 100x slower, but as shown you can get multiple diamonds from one ore
