I kinda doubt that cause PowerHobby is a legit well known brand….not the same as some of those overseas companies which I’m sure inflate the “C” ratings of their batteries
I’ve actually already done that twice….that was the original fix when I first had this issue last winter….I think I already have it down to 3.2 or 3.0…..don’t know if I wanna go any lower
That's my thoughts. Also you mite think your lipos are good but alotnof times people don't really know how to check them properly. Check the internal resistance of each cell to see if there all in a safe level.
I hope it's not too late and you didn't kill some of the MOSFET in your Max5. You might find that your max5 has sustained some damage. I have gone through so many ESC's, including max4's from not running cap packs. Now I'm to the point that i won't run an esc till it has a cap pack installed.
I run a max5 with a hobbystar 980kv 56133 motor and I run a cap pack on the esc and also run 2 8s 5000mah 100c 8s lipos in parallel and never have cut out problems. I'd say get a cap pack and attach it as close to the esc as possible on the power wires to help with the cut-out. And if that don't fix it then try other lipos. I run 50+ rigs and have some experience so if u need help hit me up. Edit. Also could be gearing related.
They weren’t in a warmer or anything but I had them in the Jeep before running them…yeah the worst thing about running in the cold is dealing with battery issue….I love the Losi 5t too…..it’s such a good truck
Looks fun. It’s a beast. If I can ask what would you suggest for a brushless 4wd RC in the 500-700 price range? Looking to but me possible birthday gift.
First, This is cool i'm sorry you're having issues with the power system i still think that is a cool truck i wish i could afford one and have the space to keep it and run it.
@@RCKnockout I have a similar problem after my slash sat for a while it has a big castle motor and I can’t quite figure out what’s going on with it lol
Wow you have a bunch of RCs! Good show!
Yeah I have quite a few…..glad you liked the video! 👍😉
Thanks for the update on slash
No problem 😉
Your batteries might be lying about the discharge rate.

Good to know. I’ll have to try them out!
I'd drop it to a 16t pin and that mite work as well. Less amp draw when the motor don't work hard to turn the spur.
That’s true I could try a smaller pinion gear
It just floats off those jumps. Love it.
Yeah it flies really smooth
Drop the lipo cutoff to lower setting to stop the cutoff

Time to save up for max4
I don’t think I’m gonna be investing that much money for an esc lol 😂
@@RCKnockout Well you gotta buy the combo not just the esc 😂.... I'm just messing around, I hope you get it figured out
@@keaginm2791 I think you could probably run that Esc with this motor….hopefully it doesn’t get to that point though lol
@@RCKnockout Ya you could but you get more gearing out of the 560kv hobbywing. Hopefully it doesn't come down to that
@@keaginm2791 yeah that’s true it probably wouldn’t work great with an 800kv….that’s a lot of money for that combo though💰
Cap packs maybe?
That might help fix the issue

Hey bud, I hope you had a great Christmas. You might want to look into a large cap pack for the 5T.

@@reconrc1787 I hope not….can’t afford to go buy a new one 🤞

Get A Hobby Wing max4 also for that kind of power I don't see a cap pack. Love the videos
Can’t afford a Hobbywing Max 4 lol….could try out the cap packs….appreciate the support 👍😉
awesome
Glad you liked it!
LOSI TOUGH 🔥 Love the 5T
Lipos don't like the cold bro. Keep them in a warm spot before running them. ✌🏻

They don’t? Thought heat was the issue.
Bad ESC.
Hell 5t should be gas.

It sure is! Without a doubt best rc in that price range in my opinion is the Traxxas Maxx V2
Cool thanks!
@@twowheelingnut7898 you’re welcome
I have a question can you bind a tq to a tqi receiver
Not 100% sure but I doubt it
cool rc and bashing ,sounds like a bad esc to me or try a different receiver
Thanks bro! Either way sound’s expensive…..I’m gonna hope it’s neither of those things🤞

@@RCKnockout No problem i hope you get it worked out again i wish i could afford a truck like that but i might stick to an X-Maxx.
@@cjchannel12RC thanks man! Keep it mind it cost more money to run bigger toys though
can you adjust your throttle endpoints to where "max throttle" is actually only like 80-90%? not sure just wondering.
I’ve thought about that….I probably could do that…I think the voltage draw is just so high that it’s triggering low voltage cut off

put a cap pack you should be good

After watching more you need a cap pack prolly. It's a cheap try anyways.

What's up man it's been a while! You might not remember me I changed my username
Hey There Bud!
Hey man! Thats Losi's sick, I just got a 5ive t the other day for $500 bucks off of offerup

@RC Knockout yeah! It has a bent center drive shaft, bent shock tower, broken bulkhead and needs a radio and receiver but that's just about it
