So you don’t have to read this but I just have to vent for a moment.... So I suffer from depression and I’ve been having suicidal thoughts. I have been wondering if I’m gonna survive from this. Then I opened up RUclips and the first video was this song. I’ve always had a theory that RUclips listens to us, so this makes me think it does even more but I’m glad because I needed to know if I was going to live or not. Thank you RUclips recommendations. And if you are suffering from the same things things will get better, it may take a while but you will make it through this. I love you, even if I don’t know you. (p.s. I’ve found hope to live! That’s okay because the mistakes we make are history. When we need to look back, it can actually be very useful when we experience the same situation. Everyone is not perfect And I’m not just someone who writes pedagogical stuff about “Everything’s gonna be alright” no I am actually trying to help you understand that it’s totally normal and many teenagers and adults feel the same way. What I’ve learnt is that you should be thankful and grateful for being alive! The future is waiting for us! Remind yourself that every negative thoughts are only thoughts. Your’er friends left for the night and you are home alone. Looking out the window to the shining stars and the glistening moon, a certain memory comes to mind. You go to your bed and pull out a small wooden jewelry box, and sit down at the edge of your bed to open it “only open me when you are at your absolute worst, my love. After I am long gone and you need me.” This box was a gift from your late grandmother. She practically raised you after your parents left you. Your heart aches for them everyday. You pull out a photo album and begin to turn the pages. You remember how she shaped you to be who are now. You turn the pages remembering everything she used to say. She used to tell you not to let past traumas hold you down. To remember who you are. You see a picture of the stars, one of the final nights you had with her, even though you didn’t yet know.you remember her words like it was yesterday. “Never forget to live, my love. Live for me.”
You didn’t know what she had meant at the time, but now you understand. It does not mean much to just be alive, but to live. You think of your the good friends you have made and the things you haven’t done. Your story isn’t over yet. “ I swear I’ll live, Grandmother”
Years later, you find yourself sitting outside under the stars. You are old, and you aren’t sure how much time you have left. This fact doesn’t bother you, because you remember what you’ve done. The people you’ve met, the places you’ve been, they all come back to you, now, under the stars. Your story has come to an end, though there were mistakes, you have no regrets. You look to the stars, remembering what your grandmother read told you all those years ago. You say to the sky, “ I Swear, I lived.”

So you don’t have to read this but I just have to vent for a moment....
So I suffer from depression and I’ve been having suicidal thoughts. I have been wondering if I’m gonna survive from this. Then I opened up RUclips and the first video was this song. I’ve always had a theory that RUclips listens to us, so this makes me think it does even more but I’m glad because I needed to know if I was going to live or not. Thank you RUclips recommendations. And if you are suffering from the same things things will get better, it may take a while but you will make it through this. I love you, even if I don’t know you.
(p.s. I’ve found hope to live! I’ve been better here recently. I’ve been trying to get rid of the toxic things in my life and it worked. The only thing left that’s stoping me is my father. He’s never been great but I try not to let it affect my life. Thanks to everyone who have replied and gave me hope to get through it.)

I suffer from depression and anxiety and listening to this really brought me to tears, having lived through so much, from feeling everything to nothing almost every day, from sleepless nights looking at the ceiling having endless wars with my mind, from feeling like a piece of shit every single day of my life to standing here. I don't always feel happy, but I am satisfied with the life I am living and I thank every single part of me who kept on encouraging myself to keep on going and telling me that my existence is valued. I cry I feel sadness, I feel angry, but I can finally feel, so I am happy to say I have lived, and I am still fighting. So to everyone fighting their battles, surround yourself with people you love, spoil yourself, cry, laugh, feel jealous, anger but make sure to feel emotions. Feel grateful for every opportunity and most importantly, keep fighting. You may not know what you are fighting for, but trust me here, you will live the life you deserve however, it is up to you to live it that way. Make sure you LIVE.

This is one of the only songs that can make my cry because I know that I haven’t lived, yes I’ve been privileged and done more than most people but when I’ve been traveling and going places I just haven’t felt any sort of happiness or completion from it and it just passes in a blur. It makes me jealous of of people who are happy and carefree because when I try to actually LIVE instead of just survive I’m held back by the stress of what I’ll have to go back to when it’s over. And knowing I’ll never achieve my dreams makes this even worse because I won’t even have a job I like. The only thing I’ve ever wanted to do with my life is be a musician and I though it was just a phase I’d grow out of but I never did and it scares me because I know that’s the only thing I’d ever be happy doing but I CANT because it’s just so unrealistic and impossible and it just makes me frustrated and jealous and I don’t know what to do at this point, I literally cannot find another career I wouldn’t hate.
