Early 70's SBC LT1 maybe. Would have been something someone would have tried back in the day. I had one like yours in the 70s and wished it had a small block in it.
Neat Datsun ! I've always had a thing for mini trucks but never had anything other than V-8 S10s .... and a Ford Courier that was sold before I could dig in on it. 🍻
I'll be interested in what you do to the EFI on the 66, in particular, your opinion on that particular EFI brand. I've been researching Holley & Fi-tech on the idea of going to EFI from carb. Have fun at SEMA
Hey Lucky, what do you think of the 632 in project X I have a 68 Chevelle‘s that’s been sitting in my shop for 29 years! I think it’s time to drag it out
While I'm sure that your truck is a blast to drive from L.A. to Vegas. If it was me I would drive Butter Nuts. And as for what my "projects" are here's the list A 1930 Ford Model A Fordor with a body by Murray, a 1967 Ford Mustang Coupe which there is not a nut, bolt or screw that I have not touched, a 1967 Ford F-100 SWB which is slammed, a 1979 Jeep CJ-5 that I restored and give to my Late Dad to replace one he sold years ago. And the newest one that's not really a project a restored 1967 Mercury Cougar with the numbers matching 289/C-4. When I worked for Clifford Research which seems like a lifetime ago , but also it's feels like it was just yesterday. I always wanted Jack to send me to the SEMA show but he wouldn't. Oh well. I did get to go to a off road show at the old Anaheim Convention Center were I got to meet Vanna White. I still have my name badge that they gave me. 6=8.
The little pick up is nice, Leno had a 1600 resto mod with a sweet 300 hp turbo 4 banger on his show about a year ago and it filled the engine bay real nice.
GREAT VIDEO LUCKY!!! I LOVE YOUR CHANNEL. PLEASE CONTINUE TO SPEAK YOUR TRUTH.
Thx for the update. BTW, I like the turquoise.
Glad you like it!
Id like to see PX in its Hollywood Knights phase

Back in the late 80s a friend of mine stuck a Datsun 280 motor and transmission in one. Needless to say it was fun.
Have a good time at SEMA! I hope that during the chaos you can get some footage to show us! ✌️❤️🙂🇨🇦

BTW. I burned my 1976 280Z up. Thankfully, I had my '66 Polara to rope tow it home from the mall.
Lucky, what did you put on the roof rust?
you can even name it Yammer Haul and then go run Tony's Syce Clone in a race
Hey there your a one man shop .?.
Spoiler alert, it's already in the Summit racing booth... didn't look electric, but my eyes were on Big Red....
Make poor choices in Vegas.
Done 👊🏻🏁🤣
Just Dashes can probably refurbish your existing Datsun dashpad if you can't find a replacement. :>)

What are the brake lines you are running off the master cylinders?? I have the set up for my 57 but don't want to run lines straight out

SUGGESTION: PLEASE CONSIDER PAINTING THE ENGINE ORANGE FOR YOUR DATSUN TRUUCK. ORANGE IS THE COLOR COMPLIMENT TO TURQUIUSE.
I LOVE ALL OF YOUR PROJECTS. I ALWAYS LEARN SOMETHING NEW!!!!
The datsun will be cool. the rest look like a great way to spend a few pay checks. Thank goodness for Mickey Thompson. Be well.
Barra turbo for the little pick up
The engine bay on the Datsun could be black and no one would know it was turquoise originally
