🏡Where to search for places -
The top 3 places I recommend the most are Facebook Marketplace, Craigslist, and Zumper (all linked below).

🏡Information you may get asked for -
Many landlords want to see if you are a good tenant and that you can actually afford the place you are inquiring about. Normal things you may get asked for; Reference letter from a previous landlord, employment records or bank statements, yearly salary/ earnings.
🏡Don't get scammed -
Don't send people money until you have seen your place in person, or through a video tour is what I say. Scammers tend to ask you to send money before you even see the place. Always ask for a tour in person or virtual, and if they decline, it is kind of suspicious and may be a scam.
🏡Need Roommates to make rent cheaper? -
Facebook is the best place to find other people who are also looking for people to rent an apartment with. Just search for Facebook groups dedicated to Vancouver housing, and Vancouver roommates. That's the best place to find people!

I can live with 4-5 students no problem in shared
The prices is lower mainland are generally more expensive than Brampton. Average rental prices are provided in the video and they give a good estimate of the current market price in Surrey. Sharing ch you can expect to pay 50-100$ more because utilities da bill vadh janda aa.

Depends on your budget. Apartment will be 300-400$ more expensive if you’re going for a 2 bedroom.

Some basements which are above ground level will not have any network issues. For others, it depends on the area and connection.
It is hard to find a basement close to sky train station as they are rarely available. You can find a lot of apartments which are closer to sky train stations.

King george station and guildford mall sounds like a good place to start for you because of proximity to everything.
