In the UK we have cream teas which consist of strawberry jam with whipped or clotted cream on scones, served with a pot of tea. So Satoshi was correct that it's a popular/tasty combination.
I'm in carb heaven! Everything looks delicious, guys. Showing some cultural ignorance, I had no idea that risen breads were so popular in Japan--very interesting. I'd love to see savory selections. I have to comment that the way Satoshi says "wwwwhhhhipped cream," is onomatopoeic and really sounds fluffy! It makes me smile and want whipped cream every time he says it. ツ
Most of them are taste so good (high in calories, fat, sodium and sugar as well of course)!!! X3 I've gained almost 40 pounds in a year because I keep buying and trying stuff from conbinis and grocery stores! XD lol
Our 7-11 in Hawaii carries some of the Japanese snacks now. But the breads not from that bakery. I wish we had family mart, we had a lawsons but it didnt last. Love your channel brings me back to when I was living in Okinawa back in the 90s
When I was stationed in Korea (1982-1983), there was a marvelous little bakery close to the AF Base that had such good breads and rolls. That was the first place I tried a roll with sweetened bean paste, I have been hooked ever since.
Tokyo has a huge selection of places to purchase bread products. Convenience stores, mom and pop shops, major chains with just a few locations here and there and one or two location shops run by people who trained off-shore. So many delicious choices with a huge variety of items.
You two could never, ever be boring. I really love all of your content. More bread videos from Family Mart would be wonderful. I am always curious what other countries have in their convenience and grocery stores, so a Family Mart exploration would be great, just like you did with 711 last year. I'll keep watching from Canada! Love what you two do. :)
Luvyallsomuch! Do you ever think of reviewing foods from different nations in Japan? Example, what's Mexican food like in Japan, or what's Filipino food like in Japan?
Funnily enough, I never enjoyed sweet breads as much as savory ones. I feel like you can put sweet jams and such on breads to make it sweet :). To me, the walnut bread also looked the best.
I had auto generated subtitles on, and it messed up your names. Instead of shinichi and Satoshi, it said sneaky and supple. Lol. Cracked me up. That should be your band name lol 'The sneaky and The supple'
Yumm! It all looks so delicious. I would drop that raisin bread into a toaster to lightly crisp the outside. Thank you for sharing all of these treats with us.
Great video, would love to see more bread videos. You have such interesting varieties of breads . The walnut bread looked & sounded so good, but then you both make everything sound so good .
Hi Shinichi, Satoshi, and Justin! It's so fun seeing you try all the breads! That chestnut roll was really beautiful! It almost looked like a spiral staircase or a nautilus shell. Please do Part II and tell us about the savory breads! It was wonderful to see Justin in this video. Have a good weekend!
I'd like to see more of the breads available there. Bread is such a versatile thing that it's hard to get bored of watching videos about it! The strawberry and whipped cream one looked especially good, but I think I'd have liked them all today.
Yum! As someone who can no longer have gluten I enjoy watching these and how descriptive you are with each bread. 😋 also yes to a savory bread video! Thank you!
When I was in Tokyo last week I kept looking for nice bread. But haven't found any! Alot of the bread was sweet and soft. I like a crunchy crusty baguette. I had some nice pastries while I was there, but no real bread. I might need to start a bakery in Tokyo. Just need to find the fundings. I used to work at a bakery in the Netherlands in the summerbreaks.
SK0LLBR0D I’m surprised you didn’t find any good bakery. There are tons and tons. Even underground of Tokyo station has so many variations of bread shops
I want to see you guys out in Japan and buying things from street vendors or outdoor markets. What's the most amazing looking thing in Japan? What tastes the best? How much can you get for $1 in a day?
Use a toaster oven when at home for flakey pastry. Place pastry in cold oven, set to 400 F, wait 5 to 6 minutes. Let cool for a minute or two and enjoy! If you have a toaster oven with a convection bake setting, it’s even better!
For these could you list some of the ingredients in the food item? I’d be interested to see how often high fructose and other ingredients are used in japan
All of the sweet breads are very tempting, but the three breads that I would like to try the most are the melon bread with cream, the triangular shaped chocolate chip bread, and the chestnut bread. I am so looking forward to your video on the savory breads. Thanks for making this video for us to see.
Here in the UK we have found a store "Japan Center," it is located in London that sell a lot of the Japanese breads and cakes we will be ordering a selection along with our monthly shop of Japanese groceries soon we are so looking forward to taste testing all the new items.
I need to go to Japan! Those sweet breads look delicious! Justin is a cutie, can we see more of him? Maybe some out takes at the end of your videos. I would like to see a savory bread video. Love you guys so much!!!
I really enjoy your videos. I found you quite recently....the video with Shinichi's mom making croquettes popped up in my feed. I also would like to see a savory bread review. I'm heading to Japan in about a month and am just soaking up as much as I can before I'm actually there to soak up even more!
@5:55 I love that you said not to eat the ice cream melon pan during Winter ‘cause it’s too cold..meanwhile in Vancouver, we happily eat ice cream when it’s cold out 😋
Conbini sweet breads in Japan look super good. A savory bread episode would be awesome. How about an episode where You try conbini Japanese snacks like, chips, candy bars and oddball items. Great episode guys, Justin is so cute, patiently waiting for a piece to fall to snack on.
New fan, but I'm already making me way through all of your videos! Myself and my partner are headed to japan in October! We will be trying some of these easy foods in our travels. Thank you ありがとうございます
In the UK we have cream teas which consist of strawberry jam with whipped or clotted cream on scones, served with a pot of tea. So Satoshi was correct that it's a popular/tasty combination.
Oh justin!! He's such a sweet boy. He's such a lap dog. Always love seeing his lovely face poking out from under the table.

“I’m young” lol
Thank you for covering Family Mart! I love your 7-11 videos, but Family Mart was our favorite convenience store when my husband and I visited Japan.
I enjoy seeing the Japanese labels and translation into English to learn some new vocabulary!
I love when you try stuff from the supermarkets and the dollar store
The chestnut danish shaped like a shell was so beautiful!
3:27 Yes, Satoshi! "Maybe for younger people..." including *everyone* here in the UK. We *love* our cream & jam on bread.
I LOVE YOUR VIDEOS 🤗
The scene with Justin at the end is so cool. IT WOULD BE GREAT TO SEE SOME "OUTTAKES" AT THE END OF YOUR VIDEOS!!! ☺
I agree
Please do the savory bread video too! Oh, and please include Justin again! I never get tired of his cute face.
I'm in carb heaven! Everything looks delicious, guys. Showing some cultural ignorance, I had no idea that risen breads were so popular in Japan--very interesting. I'd love to see savory selections.

Justin is a good boy! He didn't try to grab your bread. Please do savory breads also.
A vending machine video AND a convenience store video in the same week?! I must have won the TabiEats lottery!
You have the most well behaved dog. When I see your videos, he/she never tries to eat your food. Such sweet dog 😊
That's Justin. He usually just looks cute and guilts them into giving him a taste!
Satoshi's puppy is so well behaved and completely adorable.
Portable chocolate is my favourite chocolate.
Now let's do the savory ones!!! Your videos are never boring....
Aww how cute is Justin! And he's so well behaved!!
You guys content is top notch. You’re super laid back, and genuine about your tastes. Keep up the awesome stuff!
You can do any kind of bread video you like. Bread is my spirit animal!

Cutest dog ever!!! I love watching your videos.
Yes! Please more convenience store bread videos 😍
Tokyo has a huge selection of places to purchase bread products. Convenience stores, mom and pop shops, major chains with just a few locations here and there and one or two location shops run by people who trained off-shore. So many delicious choices with a huge variety of items.

Justin is like my Max... patiently waiting for something to fall his way! 😂
All of these look so amazing! Our convention stores have nothing like this. Justin kept stealing the show lol
US 7-11 have packaged danishes like those and they're one of my favorite convenient store pastries.
Your sweet doggie is so well behaved! His eyes are rolling between you two, watching attentively who will drop a treat.
Sneaky Justin!
I love you guys. I recently stumbled across your channel and have been binge watching ever since.

If that was my dog, you would have had that food snatched out of your hand at break neck speed before you even knew what happened.
Bad dog!
As a Canuck... we don't have anythign close to this other than a butter tart; and i love variety, so this looks amazing.
I would love to see a Family Mart savory bread video.
Really interesting to see Japanese sweetbreads. Lets have a vlog of savory breads too!
Justin wants bread too.
the last one is my favorite bread. I eat that almost every week.
Satoshi looks dangerous.. like a samuri warrior
Actually with the cap he looks like a member of the Japanese version of Last of the Summer Wine.
I would love the strawberry and whipped cream muffin! Also, Justin is adorable!!! ♥
