Thank you for the video! I actually used it to repack the table and send it back (some issues, I am getting a replacement). Had no memory of how each part was packed and your unboxing video is nicely comprehensive!
Thank you for posting this video!!! 🙏 Got stuck on point 9 in the assembly manual as I couldn't make out whether the two little pieces on the right should align or be slightly lower than the two longer traverse pieces! (hard to explain 🙄).. But watching your video helped me through it!! Terrific!! - also since these days it's a HASSLE getting through to IKEA customer service!! Thank god for helpful people like yourself!! 😇👏👏🎉✨
We are stuck around 16:02, where some of the long screws we can screw in and tighten but one or two just wouldn't go in no matter what. I suppose what we would need to do is remove the side piece in question and see if it's properly positioned. Thanks!
that's because the metal rail is in the way of the screw holes, i had this issue as well and this video is different as there aren't 3 long screw holes on each end
any experience the extension piece not fitting their table in the last step? The two wooden square block supports from 26:36 are hitting the edge of the table and preventing it to sit flush.
I'm having the same problem several others have described. I've completed assembly and the extension piece won't sit into its place. The two small square wooden pieces are catching on the edge of the table. At least now I know I didn't do anything wrong - I just need to fiddle with it more
Good afternoon, I am at step one and screwing the 8 bolts in!! vDo i screw them right in as i am frightened i will go through the table? Many thanks John
I just did a table today and yes You screw them right in until they are even with the surface I wondered about the same thing I reckon you know that by now since its 2 months
It took me about 4 hours to put together the table. I like to lay out all the pieces and verify that I have the correct number of pieces. I suggest using a regular sized screwdriver since it doesn’t hurt your hands as much.
Thanks for uploading this! I just built mine (color brown) and the extendable part wasn't sitting in. Watched your vid and seemed like I built it correctly and turns out I just have to press it in more forcefully 😅
Is this table better than the ikea bjursta extending table? Im not sure which to get. I like that the legs remain on the outside when extended with this table, but like the extension on the other one.
Hi. You should know that this table is made of wood and its surface is made of particleboard. Not like other cardboard tables. at this moment, over than one year and half . It's ok.
Thank you very much for your very good and helpful video. I have decided not to buy this table because the table legs are 'moved' to extend the table. Over time this will weaken the leg attachments to the table and cause the legs to wobble. For a table, the legs must be very strongly and rigidly attached to the table top and in this design, this is good only in the initial period of use; it will not last long. Thank you again for your video.
Having just put together an Ekdalen table today, I just wanted to say I think the way the legs are attached this may not be the case. There is a metal piece with two holes in it that goes into the top of each leg, and a hole through the wood to attach two screws without heads into that. Then a bolt is used to attach that to the metal brackets at the corner of the table. In other words, the legs are entirely attached to the tabletop using metal parts, so it isn't like screws into wood that are going to come lose with movement.
technically this is possible, because the top of the table comes in a separate package, provided IKEA accepts this 👍. if not you have to buy the two colors, and mix them 😉
Hi, plan to buy this table, but is it safe after expanded? I am just afraid if guest sits in the left or right side, and push down the edge little bit, then the middle part flies..

Can this table be stained with food? That's what I am worried about
If you plan to use it for eating, it is better to cover it with a tablecloth to keep it or with a transparent tablecloth.
@@th3blogger yes for everyday use. Thank you. I think I am better off getting a 190cm length?

Great video and will come in handy when I assemble ours. Can I ask what size the rug is you have used under the table?
Thank you. For the rug, IKEA AVSIKTLIG
133x195 cm (4' 4"x6' 5")
How long does it take on average to complete ?
2 to 3 hours. not counting the stops and the filming time

Is it possible, to mix oak top with white leg table?
I do not think so. at the top of the table there are holes for screws and table legs
@@th3blogger i mean from the same designer. I just want to change color of tabletop..

Hi. to be honest,i never extendable the table yet. i use it with 4 chairs. it's strong and good for my daily using. just cover it

What are the dimensions of the table without the extension?
