I dropped out of high school 50 years ago because I was so bored with my "accelerated" classes. I got my GED just before I won a full academic scholarship to a prestigious university. This is precisely why education, in particular, Civics is essential. My father grew up during the depression having only achieved a ninth grade education yet was a master at mathematics. Very smart. He later became a HVAC professional which required a high level of mathematical and engineering. So I’m not trying to judge anyone for the lack of an education. But it is clear that Boebert not only dropped out of school she never applied herself when she did attend demonstrated by her ignorance on the House floor. Her talking points are ridiculous. If an employee lied to their employer they would be terminated. Congress members should be held to account, they are after all employees of the American people.

As an Australian, Jamie Raskin has been my hero from afar. There is no better person in Congress. And I want to thank him for the laugh of my week, seeing Mr Raskin trying to hide his grin behind his hands as the chaos broke out this week, keeping his cool and helping his incompetent chairman Comer, despite taking him down beautifully, all the while sitting just inches from him.
