Peter Ralston is by far the best teacher on the road to enlightenment. So insightful and yet so practical. No spiritual waffle. His book is great.

+Nathan C Yes. Right now I'm putting together a 5 minute presentation of it, for a school project. The best I can hope for in such amount of time is confusing the hell out of people. Lol:) Intellectually grasping enlightenment is very simple once you get it, so it's hard to relate to the confusion and resistance occurring in those who hear about it for the first time.
With all the social conditioning, even seeing enlightenment as a real possibility will happen to very few people. And then comes the much harder task of doing the brutally tough practical work to attain it. No wonder there are so few enlightened beings.

+l I often see you on Leo's videos at actualized.org, good to see you here as well.
About the school project thing you are jumping into a mosh pit of incorrect thinking to do that hahah. It's gonna be fire to a powder keg I would love to hear how that goes, please be prepared for elite resistors, and hostile often illogical ego attachment hahaha. My best wishes and support to you on that.

+Nathan C Did you read Pursuing Enlightenment as well?
Not Knowing has to be read like 5 times at least to get suck even 50% of what he's saying I mean he really breaks down the whole damn thing. Pursuing Enlightenment is equally great you should definitely check it out.

+Matt Paulk I've read half way through The Book of Not knowing and I don't feel like I'm picking things up :P. Definitely going to reread.
I don't know if he outlines contemplation practices later on the chapters or not. I wanna get started on those asap.

He does, and yea you have to read that book several times and also be doing your own self inquiry and meditation practices otherwise the whole thing will be over your head.
Definitely keep going through it. It's easy to have resistance to something like that. I would suggest reading 50 pages a day so it can stay with you. You'll feel like you don't know the info because that information isn't easy to store intellectually however read it twice then slowly go through the whole thing contemplating everything you don't understand, it's very beneficial to your well being.

Peter Ralston is the man. Stuff he talks about like deep personal honesty and investigation are actually extremely beneficial to ailments like depression, anxiety, and even physical issues as well. Trust me, I've been through both, and what he's saying is grounded in reality, yet crazy awesome at the same time
