I think the reason the bad ending is us setting a boundary is because I think he thinks you wouldn’t like him anymore for violating it. He’s blaming himself and assumes that because he violated your boundaries, that you automatically don’t like him anymore. He thinks he’s ruined everything.

They totally should’ve elaborated more on the bad end, it could’ve been an awesome opportunity to divulge deeper into Micah’s possible fears abt not being compatible with his partner or them not understanding him by branching out into another ending It just seems as if it was there to either show another vulnerable side of him or there just for the sake of a bad ending. It is truly a bad look as I see people criticizing the game for giving a bad end to an mc setting boundaries It seems and I (hope) that it was just a byproduct of a rushed ending as it seems they were trying to hint at something deeper (michas fear ykyk I dunno how to explain it) and how the ending came out of literally nowhere. Anyways back to the rushed part ngl the game did feel that way with the pacing and how fast the relationship was going really took me outta it so it’s not surprising this happened. Anyways game was fun. Just a fun lil game not even an hour to finish. All the discord mod humor wanted to make me gash my eyes out though only complaint besides how fast everything went. Cool.
I can somewhat relate to Micah he’s a pretty introverted person and I can relate to the fact that it takes a lot of courage and like self motivation to put yourself out there for people. I also have severe social anxiety and I’m pretty sure he does as well he comes off as an extrovert but he does say whenever he takes like a big step like singing the song he wrote for you he says he needs to recharge his social batteries. He also asks for your approval a lot. Even when other people are joking around about stuff like saying you want him to stop dreaming about you, it sets off something it’s like the fear of not being liked when you really like that person and you’ve committed so much time to your relationship. You kinda go down that spiral of negative thoughts, and he’s displayed going through that and going to a non human for help. I really like the way the author of this game made him. They put some thought into it and really made him come to life.
I had to prepare myself mentally to watch this (playing myself a bad ending is never going to happen) and God seeing him heartbroken :((( and the texts above his head saying those things??? him overthinking??????
