I'm not wheres981 but converting a modern car from RWD to AWD is nearly impossible. Even if it is possible, why would you want to add all that extra weight and complexity? On the topic of weight, carbon fiber can be lighter than factory components but very expensive. Most of the time you can save more weight by just removing things that you don't need. You should just get a better version of the M4, such as the GTS or xDrive instead of trying to modify your car. It will be cheaper and you will have a more coherent/reliable experience. If you do still want to spend money on mods...driver mod will always have the biggest impact. (Go to a track and learn from a high performance driving instructor).
