Lucky your "guide" did not fall because you would not have been able to catch him. Please learn to belay 🙏

Guess he should've been lead climbing the section, so he might would've realized how sary it is, when someone isn't belaying seriously

Hi, it is in Gorge du Verdon, very famous climbing area. There are also a lot of Guidebooks for this area. I believe we had a screenshot of the route in the video. It is south east of La Palud, a small town, also with climbing shop and cafe. We can really recommend this area, just not in July and August when everyone in France is on holiday. Our Guide is called Basti, not sure about is full name :D

Going on a multipitch on your 4th day of climbing, in al place where you'de be stuck if you can't do the climb. You can't belay safely.... You constantly took your brake hand off the rope and gave your climber way too much slack.
What you did was extremely dangerous. I understand everything went ok, and you guys are safe now, but please take a beginner-course in lead-climbing. And please don't encourage other beginners to do this as unprepared as you two were...
    Glad you're safe

Thanks for your comment. We had a very experienced climber with us and the climb was actually pretty easy. He said he would free solo it. We on the other hand were just not very fit. We also could have just climbed up the rope itself or be pulled up, so we would not have gotten stuck on the wall.
The belaying will be improved ;) We were used to other belay devices, this one got stuck very quickly and our pro buddy was also climbing extremly fast.
In general we like to challenge ourselves, that's why we did it, but thanks for your concerns and your comment!

@@LauraUndMariano I understand you want to challenge yourselves by climbing hard routes, that's fine. But what concerns me is when you belay others. Other belay devices or not, I think the principle remains the same. Never let go of the break rope, do not give out too much slack, etc. Luckily you're safe, all good. But this shouldn't be encouraged as what other people have said.

Just hope the goats don’t start chewing the ropes!

True 😅 Thankfully in the Verdon there is always the belayer at the top, but they are definately very curious.
