I am sorry I do not understand when you said that you divided the rest of the song between other people??
How does that work if you need to learn the Bass lines?? so someone else learned the Bass, and the told you what to play?
It is not clear the process as explained.

      Good question! Thanks for this.
So the scores we made and shared were for all of us to use.
For this reason, we would add details for every player.
Perhaps 4 bars of the drum groove or a few bars of the guitar part to get the vibe and structure down.
Then we’d concentrate most of our energy on the specific parts that had to be EXACTLY right like melodies, chords, specific hooks, and riffs etc.
      Does that make sense?

@@OnlineBassGuitar1 OK I see, it makes seance, but at the end, while recording, it was a little more side-reading than, memorizing the song. I may have misinterpreted the title of the video. I am in a similar situation, not 100 hundred, but 30, but they are all cover so, I guess I just have to learn them :p THank you for the very fast answer.

@@franciscop.4727 it's a mixed bag for sure. This is why I put that disclaimer in at the end of the video.
You do have to be pragmatic and the word "learn" is flexible.
"Learn" can mean by heart, it can mean "know well enough to need a prompt" or "familiarise on a shallow level" or anything in between all that.
I guess the point I wanted to make was that sometimes you can't learn everything perfectly and you have to strike a balance between learning everything and doing things to make the learning/familiarising as efficient as possible.
      Cheers for the comment!
