The PS1 Diego hosting the show is such a cool touch. I like how you covered this game with a lot more of the perspective of the time than I did. I don't remember 2003 all that well because I was only 5, so that aspect of this video was really interesting. Also, you mentioned that Hulk 2003 ended in South America and that sort of leads into the Incredible Hulk movie, which I completely forgot about because I haven't seen Ang Lee's Hulk in a long time. Maybe one day we should review both Hulk movies and talk about how they could be connected, even if "officially" they aren't.
Hulk (2003) ends with Bruce dispensing medicine and deals with militia confiscating the stuff denying people in need and embracing his rage to defend the people. Incredible Hulk (2008) starts with him working in a soda factory while in search of a cure and training to manage his temper and hold his rage. Aside from the South America bit, the connection between the two movies is not there.
The Ang Lee Hulk movie is super underrated it's kinda sucks that The Hulk isn't getting any love anymore because of the MCU neutering his character in favor of She-Hulk
Completely agree. Always have. When I heard Ed Norton was playing him I was ecstatic. But when I saw it, I was somewhat disappointed. Ang Lee and Eric bana were superior and it’s a great film. Definitely my favorite comic movie of all time
I really hope this eventually leads into a [PROTOTYPE] video because a. it's almost never talked about and b. it's one of my favorite games of all time, and I find it really neat that you can see the seeds for it in a bunch of Radical's early titles
As a huge Ang Lee's Hulk fan and also a Radical fan, this is one of those games that define the PS2 era for me. I loved watching you play this on stream, and really enjoyed your enthusiasm in this one.
I appreciate this game having so many lesser known villains as bosses. Hulk has a decent rogues gallery so it's good they're in battles that use their gimmicks. If I could change one thing, I wish the stealth sections had a soliton radar in the corner. They're fairly tough otherwise.
OMG THE NOSTALGIA!! I REMEMBER PLAYING THIS GAME SO MUCH WHEN I WAS YOUNGER. I REMEMBER TRYING TO BREAK THE CODE BEFORE THE TIMER RUNS OUT! IM PLAYING THIS ON A EMULATOR SO MUCH FUN
Overall, I think this game is just ok, although I kinda wish that it had some kinda co-op versus mode where you can play as the other villains and beat each other up. The 2003 Hulk game walked so that Hulk: Ultimate Destruction could run! Also, I loved using Gray Hulk when you unlocked him via cheat code!
You're definitely hitting your stride with these videos! Have you considered making your voice recording a little compressed to achieve a similar sound to PS1 style audio? I don't know if it'd be as perfect as I think it would be, but I think it'd fit the style nicely.
Man, I played this game back in the days on PC and oh boy.. it was HARD! Like not just hard but hard hard. Like, no matter what you do to the enemies, they will always get you. And the first boss, I couldn't even defeat him because I didn't know how. And watching the movie and returning back to the game, made me back then ask one question. How the heck Hulk is indestructible in the movie but anyone can take him out in the game no matter what? Because, back then as a kid I thought that if I'm playing as Hulk, even despite the fact that it is a video game, I need to be unstoppable. Kinda like Wolverine is in X-Men Origins: Wolverine Uncaged Edition, which is the only super hero tie-in movie game done right. So yeah, since then I was able to beat this Hulk game only with cheats. Because my main difficulty was enemies and bosses, and later it was that mini game where you have to put different numbers together to open a door and then the stealth. So I just said F it and, I remember that I had this program called CheMax on PC that contained cheats for many PC video games. I found cheats for this Hulk game and in few days blasted through the game. And even with cheats back then I had a problems. And yes, I tried to play it without cheats as adult but it is just impossible, as if game doesn't want me to beat it.
I have beat it before without cheats but yeah tbh it gets a bit too tough towards the end. I'm tempted to replay it due to this video bringing back the nostaglia, but if I do, I'm using the double Hulk health, regeneration and half enemy health cheats just to give myself a more accurate Hulk experience.
@@getschwifty5537 This game was for me one of those games that they call a dark souls without dark souls. But yeah, I personally don't want to play it. I would like to mod it if the modding tools were actually working with this game.
A small correction regarding the description: Hulk (2003) is the younger brother of Hulk: Ultimate Destruction, not the other way around. You did mention it correctly in the video itself, though.
I always dug the Ultimate Destruction, it's nice to see how they found a way to lay a foundation for that game, and adding some aspects with Bruce Banner have stealth segments is a nice way to implement the "man and monster" idea. I DO like the SNES game, if not for anything else but it's banger OST with Acid and Jungle inspired music.
This one was decent....as long as you played with Hulk, because those Banner stealth missions were pretty bad. Radical Entertainment did 1000X better with Hulk Ultimate Destruction.
@@itsBATMAYNE nah fam. 2008 can’t even do half the stuff as ultimate destruction. The combat, movement & physics are clunky, the game’s execution as a whole is worse than 2003. Empty boring open world. To each their own, but imo it’s a soulless game.
I love the movie, but I hate the game. The game has dull graphics in both the cutscenes and gameplay, I hated all of the Bruce stealth levels, I hate the limited combos Hulk pulls off. With Hulk only having very limited combos this makes the game a button masher when there so many foes on screen. I stopped revisiting this game back in 2020, it was just not worth keeping anymore.
I don't like this game. The stealth sections are horrid and the Hulk sections are better but still pretty basic. I also hate anything connected to Ang Lee's horrid film.

Suck that’s Mei Ling couldn’t hook it up.
The 03 HULK is my favorite and the best Version to me. He was never a joke like Marvels
Edward Norton would have never stood for it either
The green hersheys syrup that came out to market this movie turned my shit green for a while lmao
3:10 i love danny elfmans Hulk score
Agreed. It's so phenomenal. For real though. Seriously. That's truth right there.
Hulk ultimate destruction has the best hulk gameplay. You felt like hulk.
I remember playing this a few months ago, I was surprised with how much fun I had.
Everybody tears apart the 2003 film but this game was amazing
I remember this game, when you face half-life again he says “Thought you were done with me, think again!”
8:35 yes i love those hulk jumping sequences
It was pretty solid. A lot of movie tie ins these days were decent. The rep is they are trash but by this point most were more average than bad
Fam you’re so right about the marketing for 2000’s superhero’s movies; Iconic.
“And my purpose in life: Tie-in video games” what a hilarious line
Great review
Thank you!

The thing I like about this game more than the 2008 Incredible Hulk movie game is being able to also play as Bruce Banner
When this movie came out they sold green colored chocolate syrup and drinking one cup of it made me violently ill as a child
I absolutely love this game

ngl watching you mention the low combo count and then seeing you only do the basic three hit string throughout the entire video is wild.

16:46 doctor faustus is a captain america villain
I love how the very people that hate the Bruce sections in this game, LOVE the Peter/MJ or Miles missions in the new spider man games
I love that very ASMR movie, but I haven't played this game. It's nice to hear it's solid entertainment.
Scariest hulk game or even superhero game in general especially that intro
19:53 😂 the pissed joke is good
Any chance you can review Marvel's Midnight Suns
I played this game when i was younger. i could never get past the 1st stealth level.
