    Thank you for showing a pretty wrap for a smaller stone. I like small pendants rather than large. I also prefer simple wraps that enhance the stone and not detract from it. I struggle with “tucking” my wire ends so I study your technique and hope to improve. Thank you so much for sharing your creations with us.

    hi Oxana, I am inexperienced in wire technique, I ask you how can I calculate the length of the wire for a processing ?

    • @OxanaCrafts
      @OxanaCrafts  2 года назад +1

      I measure out my wires in the beginning of the video so you will know the length I use. I usually just cut my wires to be nice and long do I will not run out, I do always end up with excess though

      I use a piece of string with inch measurements marked to lay around my stone and get a rough estimate of the length of wire necessary to get around the stone and make the bail!

    Another great video! Thank you so much for making tutorials. You are so easy to follow. Quick question: Can 28 gauge round weaving wire be used in place of the 26 gauge half-round wire? I have a very hard time finding the flat side of the half-round wire even with reading glasses AND a magnifying light. Suggestions? Thank you!

    • @OxanaCrafts
      @OxanaCrafts  3 месяца назад +1

      yes you can use the 28 gauge round wire. If you feel it moves too much, you can do a weaving pattern with it rather than just wrapping it around and around for places like the bail.

    Ok, I’ve never made a fancy wire wrap piece like this, only the super basic one with the little twists in them kind of like an x, so what gauge wires are needed to do fancy wraps like these?

    • @OxanaCrafts
      @OxanaCrafts  Год назад +1

      Here is a list of the materials used:
      Materials:
      3 pieces of 20 gauge square wire, 14 inches long each
      24 gauge half-round wire(no need to measure and pre cut, just keep it on the spool and use as needed)
      1 Cabochon, mine is a square Malachite about 1 inch tall
