I think Kishane would not settle on sharing no medal i listen to him he knows what he did wrong he is better than Lies when they meet again it will be a different situation rest easy youth wheel and come again.
I agree 100%. The gold medal should have been shared.
Kishane has my respect💪💪💪🔥🔥💯 He put jamaica on his back.
He'll have your respect even more in the future because that's the last time that Noah will beat him barring some type of injury
@@cliffordhill2365 I don't know about that, Noah and Andre De grassy of Canada are known for showing up in big races, their time may not be up to bar with others but when it count the most they showed up.
@@cliffordhill2365 Kishane is the more talented 100m sprinter compared to Noah, but you can't deny, Noah knows how to show up when it matters. He did a lot of talking, but he backed it up when it mattered. I can't wait to see more of Kishane though. When i saw him run in Xiamen, i knew he was going to be a huge threat in the future. He reminded me of Asafa with their similar build and technique. He's only 23. He has 2 more olympics in him.
Great comments and I agree with you, but as far as Kishane not showing up, that's mental and can be fixed. We know he wasn't injured and the other week he ran 9.77 while shutting it down at the 90 meter mark. Keep your eye on him, he's not done
@@cliffordhill2365 No he's not done. He just started. If he ran 9.77 there was no way Noah should caught up with him since Noah fell behind at the start of the race. But I think Kishane was too anxious due to the pressure of being the fastest and wanted to live up to the hype caused him to tighten up and clenching his teeth. Now that he has international race experience, he'll feel more comfortable and at ease with the experience and that's bad news for other runners.
Stephen Francis concedes that based on the photo finish Noah did win by a whisker. However I am sure Kishane has learnt from this experience. They will meet again.
Frano does not no the rules. The rule state that u separate by 1 hundredths not 1 thousandth. I hope they launch a protest based on the rules.
Agreed

You dont know the rules. When a race is that close. They employ a laser graph. This can dissect distance by MILLIMETRES. Use your brain.
There are 1000 centimetres in a second of sprinting time. So Noah Lyles won that final by basically 5 centimetres. That's why they use a lazer graph. So get out of your emotions Jamaica. You give licks. You have to take licks. Rewind and come again next time.
No rules are written to give Noah the gold over Kishane, when BOTH HAD the same TIME (9.79s). Case in point: 2008 Olympics Women's 100m Final: Sherone Simpson 10.980 and Kerron Stewart 10.980. Both got Silver. 2024 Olympics changed the rules on the spot! Both men won Gold.
@@MediaTruth_
No they didn't Lyles won by 5cm. 5 thousands of a second. A second is 1000cm in length or 10 metres. 5 thousands of a second is 5cm ya hear. That's why they use a laser graph. The two times you mentioned were dead on. So they could not be separated and they had to give them the same medal. But in this race Lyles leaned on the line and got it by the distance of 5cm. Or 2 inches. Hard to accept but that's how it goes. Rewind and come again Kishane with a better performance in the next two world championships in 2025/2027 and next Olympics in L.A 2028.
They did NOT run the same time. They ran the same hundredth of a second not thousandth and that's where they would share. The vertical lines on the laser finish exists for a reason, Lyles torso CLEARLY breaks the vertical lines on the photo first. The laser is not ankle level, otherwise Kerley would've won. I've known about torso crossing the vertical line on photo finish since I was 8 in 2000 they didn't just make this up. If you ran AAU or USATFJrs in the United States they posted all our photo finishes online with the same criteria. The smaller the margin of victory the closer the lines are placed until someone crosses first
Thank you! Please understand the sport before saying its rigged
I'm asking too
💯Facts. Well-stated.
Thank you. Peter not understanding that.
Peter: type " How Exactly Do They Determine Who Wins in a Photo Finish" in google and you will see that there is a camera that takes 40,000 pictures every second which is equivalent to 0.025ms which is less than 1/1000 secs. Photos are then stitched and winner is based on the person where the chest crosses the finishing line first. Welcome to the high tech world!

The difference was 0 005s between 1st and 2nd and not 0.12s. It was 0.12s between 1st and 8th place
Let me explain. A difference of 0.12 is still a difference, noah won and im happy for him. And this is coming from someone who wanted kishane to win. I know youre feeling down because kishane came second with the whole share the gold medal act but tell the whole truth, those instances where the gold was shared are sports like high jump or in a points discipline not the 100m. Especially with all that prestige of the fastest man or woman that comes with it. But i can be wrong.
Sounds like he salty because he must have lost a big chunk of change betting against Noah. That, or he a narcissist who always has to be right. Either way it's not a good look, he needs to stop!
The metal is not shared due to technology we can actually see who really on now. They told you what the difference is one person won and one person came in second! Everyone ran great.
Yes, he did say that he made a gesture because he thought they were taking too long to start the race.
I totally agree with you Mr.Peter Lloyd, Kishane was robbed just like they did to Merlene Ottey but God is not sleeping. Kishane was warned for simply trying to maintain his composure after several minutes of unnecessary delay yet, Noah got away with his roar, jumping and prancing on the same track. This is not the end Jamaica. They will meet again and I can hardly wait for that day.👀
Yes he was rob These people are heartless He deserve to get gold Kishane i do understand how you feel, and you are right, it's clearly your falt. You are so much faster and stronger. Never mind you will get better an better with hard work focus an with Almighty God by your side. Congrats the best is yet to come Jamaica love you guys Big up to Sevill 🎉🎉💖💖🙏🏿
Peter, the difference in time between Kishane and Noel was 5 thousandths of a second. 9.784 vs 9.789 secs. I'm not sure where you got the .012 sec from. In this case they went down to the 3rd decimal place and not the typical 2 decimal places. The 9.79 sec is a figure that was rounded up. Approximated. The more accurate figures are the ones with 3 decimal places. I hope you get it. They could have possibly gone to the millionth of a second mark - maybe.
The Jamaicans will never accept loss, for some strange reason the only way one of their athletes ever loses is, they were injured. If you go back and watch past videos, if their best runners are falling behind, that end up limping or pull up lame in the middle of the race. Jackson did the same thing when Alfred was about to pass her, they practice they see the times they are not running. You Jamaican fans go along with the BS and lies and when you have a great athlete like Kishane, who seems to not into that hate Americans at all cost crap you are now trying to make him like you. He accepted the outcome. Watch the video your guy who came in last, he pulled up lame the minute Noah passed him, Noah passed the entire field. PERIOD>
Kishane was concentrated on other American athlete closer to him that was when Noah got that chance. Kishane is kind of inexperience
Fred Kerley should ask for a photo finish, because everyone thought the feet that came across the line first were Kishane.
When I first saw the photo I thought the guy with the orange spikes won, but according to the IOC rules the person that crosses the line first with their torso is considered the winner.
You only get robbed when you let people to rob you!
No there shouldn't have been a shared gold medal. Kishane wouldn't want to share his gold medal if he won. I don't care by how much. A win is a win.
Jamaicans please let us let go and move on. The best is yet to come for Kishane and other Jamaicans athletes in Jesus Name

Please list the sprint events in which the Gold Medal has been shared.
The high jump Gold in the previous Olympics, 2021, in which the medal was shared is an event that has a finite height that was jumped by both contestants.
*The sprint times can be broken down to tenth, hundredths and thousandths* meaning the times are *not identical* unlike the high jump heights in which the bar was set to the exact same height for each contestant.

Old rules. New rules call for "drawing of lots" if there's a tie. So it could come down to a coin flip to rank the finish. Imagine the chaos what would ensue.
"If there is a tie for any ranking position under Rule 20.3.2 of the Technical Rules, the Chief Photo
Finish Judge shall consider the actual times recorded by the athletes to 0.001 second and if it is
equal, it shall be determined to be a tie and lots shall be drawn to determine the higher ranking

Right… this works when the metrics are set evenly, example in field events pool vault… I feel like they may have done it in long distance races. Sprints usually work like that. He talking about hundredths of a second, when there’s technology out there that can go to the thousandths. Listen I’m cool if they would have done a tie, would have been a nice gesture, but not a requirement. Furthermore that’s terrible for the brand. And I don’t even think Noah or Kishane would have went for that, runners don’t want a tie in the 100m.
Update - 2012 Olympics there was a tie to the thousandths, runoff was a suggested but the other runner let Alison Felix get the nod. So literally never in history has there been a tie in 100,200,400 finals in Olympics awarded. Always photo finish.
Which other race is timed like that?
Go and watch the post race interview, even the person who introduced them said they ran the same time.

The precision is down to 0.001 sec to determine the order of finish. Those numbers were published. It was 9.784 sec for Lyles and 9.789 sec for Thompson. How was the race weird? It was one of the greatest 100m races of all time. Last place was 9.91 and actually everyone would've ran sub 9.9 had Seville not pulled up in the last 10 metres. Plus, if Kishane ran 9.784 and Noah ran 9.789, there's no way you would be saying that they both should get the gold medal. Btw, none of Kishane's body was ahead of the Americans. That orange shoe was Fred's. Noah's head was in front of everyone. And most importantly based on the rules, Noah's torso was clearly in front of everyone else's torso on the photo finish. Even Stephen Francis, Kishane's coach said that Noah won based on the photo finish. End of discussion.

@@ronester1they can't take losses. That's sad
Thank you
Unwelcome, you take that....
Peter a lot of athletes ran the same time but sometimes they give one first and one second
😂😂 you are not very objective at all Peter and you are doing a lot of whining and crying lately, Noah ran a faster time down to the thousandth of a second so he won, if it were a dead heat tie then yes they would have to share it but that is not what happened in this case. Mr. Riley is obviously as misguided as you are, when the medals were shared in the past in track the exact same times were run down to the thousandth of second, but that is not the case here. The official photo finish actually shows Noah ahead, Noah is the winner of the Gold Medal!!! Kishane won the Silver medal!!! Even Stephen Francis said the photo shows Noah won!
Even Noah told kashane he kashane won the game I guess you was not watching the game, kashane was robbed
@novlettebrown6827 Noah is not the official that reviewed the photo finish, even Kishane said he didn't know so they both had no idea, it doesnt matter what they think anyway because their job was to race not officially determine the winner of the race
Exactly so
@@novlettebrown6827no said " I think you got it". He never said for fact that Kishane won. Operative words " I think" 😂
@@ronester1 💯
They didn't run the same time. 9.784 is faster than 9.789. Lyles crossed the line first with his torso. You can't give Kishane a gold when his torso is behind Lyles at the line. End of story. It's not a conspiracy or strange. Lyles' time is closer to 9.78 and Kishane 9.79. Only reason they are both given a 9.79 is because they round up the numbers, but Lyles' time is closer to 9.78 and Kishane's 9.79, as mentioned.
Keep this logics to yourself
@@sashmolinton5649Why? , because you can't handle the truth?😂
Bias, bias, unfair, unfair...😮😢😮
If it was another country with Kishane they would have got both Gold.America is the country that runs the world that's why they give it to to Noah.
Come on guys get over it you got 2nd.
We are all free to analyse and reflect my friend. In a race this close there will always be something to talk about like why torso over a foot touching the other side of the line?
Go to bed bro!
Ur a clown bud
No rules are written to give Noah the gold over Kishane, when BOTH HAD the same TIME (9.79s). Case in point: 2008 Olympics Women's 100m Final: Sherone Simpson 10.980 and Kerron Stewart 10.980. Both got Silver. 2024 Olympics changed the rules on the spot! Both men won Gold.
They are going to say it’s because it’s 2 Jamaicans.
NOAH LYLES IS THE FASTEST, GREATEST, SPRINTER EVER, NOAH LYLES IS KING. NOAH LYLES WON THE RACE AND WAS GIVEN THE GOLD MEDAL.
Nerd
Ah, no misspelled words. Thank you. 😂
Noah protested to ensure that he got the gold. Jamaican committee sleeping
Why the confusion? Netflix, money, markets, The winner ran a PB . Noboby question Bolt
I SHARE THE SAME SENTIMENT!!! Then he is saying he is the fastest man over the hundred meters. Where is the logistics....... SAME THING MI SAY TO HOW ONE MAN MEK SOUND AND GET GREEN CARD AND THE OTHER NOTHING. BIAS BOY!!! TWO A DEM FI GET GOLD PERIOD!!!!
Most certainly fear is fear but every unfair game play twice God is watching and is working out something for Keychain Thompson.
I think you are right, as there is precedence for medal sharing when more than one athlete has the same clocking on the track.
There is no sharing, at least not according to the current World Athletics rules. I'm reading it and it sounds like if it's still tied down to 0.001 sec they go to a coin flip or some other random draw to break a tie.
What part of your body needs to cross the finish line?🤔
torso 👀
What body part has to cross the finish line to win in track and field? It's the torso. Not the neck, head, arms, feet, legs, or hands: The torso. The torso, often called the trunk, consists of the chest, abdomen, pelvis, and back.🎓🤣
I agree with you! But I would go as far as to say he was indeed robbed. I believe the results should have been appealed
They been doing it that way for a long time now. Gail Devers and Marlene Ottey won a photo finish and Gail got the gold after they calculated the photo finish
Yes yes yes .. two gold medals. This Olympics seems especially critical towards Jamaicans. I was annoyed with how Noah was allowed his antics but Kishane was warned for way less . Strange strange strange.
If Kishane ran 9.784 and Noah ran 9.789, there's no way you would be saying that they both should get the gold medal.
It should be shared. Jamaica coaches need to speak up
Remember they did the same thing to Merlene in 1996 against Gayle Devers
Bull stop the division and watch the video Noah won. It's ignorant to see anything different. It is a fact. If Keshawn would have leaned more he would have won. Plan and simple. It was a close race. Grow the F up
Kishane got rob because the clock shows 9.78 but they changed it to 9.79 but they make noah lyles the face of track and field. They used to do the same thing with merlene ottey.
9.78 sec was from the automatic timing equipment. It had to be someone's foot. But the rules are that the official time comes from the leading edge of the torso across the line.
Nope Jamaica is not gonna protest it! They gonna just take it
I thought the JAAA would have protested. I actually said that after the announcement was made. I would feel better if they had protested and were denied.
Why would they protest when they know the rules and saw with their own eyes the results?
Exactly Peter you are spot on !! Paris for me is going to be remembered as the demonic games from the opening ceremony and your not reaching my brother it doesn't make any sense for two athletes that ran the same that are then given different colour medals I care less what anyone thinks Keshane was robbed.
Exactly, they should split the gold. I saw the my review the gymnast and change the decision to give American the bronze over the Romanian.
Happens to Merlene and Gail before.
In believe the should protest and bring it to court.
