Tiger Sanitation: Brand New Freightliner Econic SD McNeilus Rear Loader Garbage Truck

- Tiger recently purchased six Freightliner McNeilus RLs (3 M2s and 3 Econics) instead of their typical MRU/McNeilus combo. After seeing that they bought Econics, I was determined to get some video of one during my spring break. I was able to get a route for one from another driver and found this truck making rounds on a Thursday route! Considering that Tiger’s residential fleet is 100% Mack, it was pretty surprising that they purchased these. The Freightliners that they purchased are being used as training units and they have three more Econics on the way. The driver mentioned that he really likes the truck as it is very roomy and has a better turning radius than the Macks. The crew was unsure if Tiger will still be buying Macks but for now they going with Freightliner. I personally have mixed feelings about this cab but the quick tipper made this one pretty fun to watch and the truck doesn’t sound too bad either. Anyway, I hope you guys enjoy seeing this unit in action!

Extremely amazing video! Rear loaders with fast crews and fast tippers are sure fun watching! I like how Tiger got this Econic Heavy Duty RL, since it sounds like a Loadmaster Excel when it packs. Anyways, I enjoyed this video, and glad you posted this! This has got to be one of their fastest crews ever!

Congratulations on finding this! I thoroughly enjoyed every single second. The speed of the crew and the tipper was awesome, not something you typically see on a brand new truck. M2 McNeilus has been my favorite combo for a while, but this combo is definitely growing on me. Definitely your best video yet! I would love to see more of this truck and crew.

@@andrewthetrashkid1435 Yes. I don't think I've seen you show one of our Roll offs yet. Those Econic trucks just hit the road about a month ago. Really nice trucks. What trucks have you not ran into yet? I've used a few of your videos to show off to my folks back home what we have. You have some good content.
@@GoChangeYaLife thanks! I focus mainly on the residential fleet but I need to film one of the new Freightliner M2s (numbers 364-366) and one of the really old Mack MR rear loaders (I believe the number is 303). I know those old trucks are spares though.

I understand that there are certain rules in place for safety but I don’t want these guys getting trouble because of something in my video
@@andrewthetrashkid1435 The rules for us the truck has to be stopped before we dismount the truck- There is a risk of an ankle injury - The road looked wet - I don’t make the rules - I try to follow them - sometimes once or twice we make a mistakes -

If you’re referring to the new trucks being delivered, they haven’t come in yet and are supposed to arrive by the end of the year
How much money does a garbage collector make?
It depends how much they make an hour, I think on average here it’s like $30-50k a year
