- Shooting reflections is a wonderful subgenre of Street Photography. There are many famous Street Photographers who enjoyed shooting reflections as well - like Harry Gruyaert, Saul Leiter or Ernst Haas. Follow me on my hunt for reflections in Turin, Italy with the Fuji x100v.
I am Oliver, a Street Photographer from Germany. I´ve been shooting Street Photography for nearly 20 years now. In 2016 i started to teach Street Photography workshops. I had solo and group exhitibions in Germany, Austria, Hungary and Italy, published my first Street Photography book "Immerse light, embrace shadows" last year and was juror for international photo contests. This channel is for all Street Photography beginners and pros - if you have any requests for future videos, please leave a comment - very curious about your opinions. Oh, and I am still a beginner in this RUclips thing so your comments help me a lot - and please forgive me my bad English...

Some setting secrets perhaps? Getting depth of field for windows, items behind the windows and those on the street captured in the reflection. Stopping action vs showing motion in subjects. Very interesting.
Awesome one, Oliver. Seems like Christmas is a time for reflection(s)😂 Happy Holidays📸✨
Thank you dear Flo for your Feedback! Happy christmas!
Very enjoyable video - thanks. No problem with your English - far better than my German!
Haha- thank you a lot dear Roger!
Immer wieder ein Genuss! 👍📷❤️
Danke dir, frohe Weihnachten!
Fantastic. Thanks for the inspiration😊
It's really fun to be inspired and motivated by your (teaching) videos. When I go looking for motifs, I often think of your work. And yes - you are right, by taking photos in shop windows or in reflections you are less noticeable to passers-by and can still capture them. And the large window panes are usually cleaned so excellently and sparkling. I would like to mention the following: I admire your patience in waiting for "the right people in the right place" in the reflections, because I often don't have that ;-). For example, your waiting 'together with' Johnny Depp and the many moments that came and went. Watching you work specifically for this picture was very interesting for me.
Funny, this 2:19 . And 3:42 is very beautiful and have a great aesthetic impact. 3:55 excellent! My favorite I think is 7:40! Or no, maybe this 8:58 . Almost all photographs in this type of mirror reflections look like collages created by chance. And that's exactly what I like very much! Very exciting!
Thank you again and best regards - Monika
😁☺️Frohe Weihnachten Markus!!!
@@streetphotographyguyDanke, Dir ebenso.
If you use the camera on your phone you can get the lens really close to the glass, works really well.
That´s a great tip, 100% agree!
