@@jorgeluissanchez3002 There is nothing wrong with that, as I always say use what works for u. It is important to get the writing out not what we use to get there.
Informative! Thank you. I just had a horrible experience with Final Draft, and will never use them again. They abruptly switched off my old version that I'd been using since 2009, and won't let me run it anymore. I paid them $229.00 back then, but now they tell me I only licensed it, and didn't own it, and they turned off that server that ran it. A lie. So they are pond scum in my book now. I would encourage anyone never to buy Final Draft. I'm looking forward to trying Fade In. Thanks for posting.
I am so sorry to hear about your experience. That sucks! Final draft has like no customer care in my experience. Fade in has much better customer support, I hope that is a better fit. Again that sucks and they need to Stop treat ing people like that
@@ScreenwritingScribeThanks. I'm looking forward to trying Fade In, especially since you found the user experience so positive. I always hated Final Draft. I used to use Warren Script Applications, which was so simple and uncomplicated. Miss it! Thanks again for your research here.
@@gilltim5711 You betcha. If u have any questions about Fade in don't hesitate to ask. If fade in isn't a good fit let me know and i can give some more suggestions.
Dang! That is not cool. I assume what happened is they made their software rely on a licensing server and they shut that server down. They should have given you a path forward if they were making a decision to no longer support that. There is no way I can be certain that is what happened, but I am sure it is something like that. The worse part of your story is how they treated you. I am sorry about that. Companies should try to do better.
@@justincouto Thank you. Yes, they never even warned me they'd be shutting it off, even though they told me I owned the software when I bought it. I'm just going to keep letting everyone know so they can take that into consideration when deciding on what software to buy. Cheers!
I've only ever used Scrivener and WriterDuet (and Word LOL). WriterDuet absolutely blows Scrivener out of the water though. Scrivener's screenwriting feature feels like an afterthought of an afterthought, whereas with WriterDuet I feel like I'm pulling on silk gloves before I start writing. So comfortable to use, gorgeous interface, and I love the analysis tools. That being said, I am looking to give some others a try, starting with Fade In and Scrite.
You are right I wonder if the screenwriting part of Scrivener was put on as an after thought. If you like writer duet I think you will really like to use Fade In. Let me know if you have any questions using Fade In. I do have a nice guide for it if you want to see it on RUclips. Scrite does take a little while to learn, since it uses a different philosophy on how to write a screen play.
Thank you for the video. Final Draft is just so buggy for PC. Beat Board as such is nice but no backward integration with script. Waste of money in my view. Going to try Scrite and maybe SoCreate.
update: Story Architect looks cleaner than Final Draft but if beats are only something like sub-scenes, what is the point? The AI integration is a nice idea but should be an add-on once everything else is super.
@@kookma4716 I agree with you. I think they are trying to be the leader in the A.I. space but like you said they have a lot more basic stuff that they need to focus on.
I am sorry to hear about your problems with Arc Studio pro. Besides not being able to edit, what other errors are you discovering? Are you using the free version or the paid version? Have you talked to customer support about it yet?

Thanks for putting SoCreate in your top 3, Paul. We are working hard to make it to number 1.
I can't wait to see how SoCreate grows over this year.

Very interesting and enlightening. It has allowed me to have an updated view of the most relevant software programs on the market.
Thanks. The neat thing is that there are a lot of programs out there and they (for the most part) are innovating with new and cool things.
