Discovering PENOTTE Island

The name Penotte appears in the 19th century to designate a missing street. It could be that why this islet of life, this tiny neighborhood left abandoned!
Well no ! The association "The Friends of Penotte Island", whose purpose is the embellishment and animation of the district, was created in 1997 at the initiative of local artist Danièle Aubin-Arnaud. With originality, she has been able to decorate the facades of shell motifs.
Let's discover this island thanks to the Lady with shells.

Les Sables, c'est chez moi ! Je connais bien l'Ile Penotte, j'adore y aller... Venez voir les merveilles de Madame Dan' Aubin Artaud... C'est un petit quartier piéton paisible qui donne direct sur le remblai. On y accède par la rue Travot...
