Hi Mrs. A White, you can do this by pressing the center button in the middle of all the arrows, which will take you into the Menu. Use the arrows to navigate to Preferences, and under Preferences you'll see Appearance. The left and right arrows can be used to adjust the brightness, hope this helps!
