    Tractor Supply sells fence, and T-Post, The cost of fencing has really skyrocketed since inflation has hit, I use sheep & goat field fence it comes in 330' roll and it's real heavy, but I stretch it with a come-a-long, the tighter the better, also keeps anyone from slipping under it. Informative video, thanks.

    • @connorhart7597
      @connorhart7597 9 месяцев назад

      @timhaskins3701 a rope with a windlass would be my next choice. Aside from that, walmart and tractor supply both have pretty cheap comealongs, and they're incredibly handy to have around. I've use one to straight out the bumper on my bronco once after I veered off a trail

    Every 50 feet and at all corners, sink an 8 foot, 6 inch round wood post with concrete to a depth of about 3 feet, so that you have 5 foot sticking out of the ground. Start at one wooden post and secure the fence with fencing staples. Not roll it out to the 2nd - 50 foot post or to the nearest corner. Using a come-along you can stretch the fence nice and tight, and then staple it to the 1st wooden post. Do the same thing all the way around so that it's nice and tight and secured to all the wooden posts. THEN use the T-post clips and attach to the T-posts. You'll have a nice, tight fence that will last a long time.

The entire front of property crossing driveway is gated. So I must do the other 3 sides. One problem is I have old lava between 300-700 yrs. old. I guess I’ll survey property line between little markers to see if it’s dirt, then proceed. I’ll ask Tractor Supply here info on old lava. Hogwire fence is cheapest here & I want to do exactly like yours. We have wild hogs. Now I’m inspired after watching your video. Thank you very much, this video boosted my confidence.

The wire fencing last 20 years, and went through many dogs, until I finally replaced it with a chain link. There's a house around here that used split rail fencing with the wire fencing stapled behind it. It looks great and you can't see the wire fence from a distance.

    Im started a farm and got quoted 10k to 14k to fence the 1.5 acres from 6 different companies
    That inspired me to see if its possible to even do it myself
    So thank you so much for this video very inspiring!!

    You just inspired me and I’m going to the tractor supply and have some fence delivered.
    I don’t have $2000 for a partial privacy fence that would only be about 6 or 7 feet plus pay for a permit just for a garden I want

    Good video bud. I bought a place on 1/2 acre out in Texas and I was really worried about the cost of a decent fence to keep my dogs in until I viewed this video. I'm going to do the same on my yard. Thank you

      For having no experience it wasn’t bad! It took all day to do but the fact that you could be out there all day and cover about an acre of land I would say it’s easier and cheaper then most other options! Hope it all works out for you! If you have questions let me know

    What height fence did you use? I spaced the posts10 ft apart. Failed to watch this video though. My property line is similar to the shape of TN on a map so we didn't get to put the posts directly on the property line thereby causing problems with one neighbor and the owner's yard crew. Any suggestions would be helpful so I can have peace with that neighbor.

      Just be aware a welded wire fence won't keep a determined animal of person out. Early on i put up a goat fence with it. Worked fine until the mini alpine discovered she was breaking the welds when she's scratched on it, the I watcher's her put her nose through and push and walk her way out

    Although a privacy fence would be so amazing, just not feasible. I've been super sad and felt like really there was no hope. Neighbors suck. But now I have a way! Because of this video. It's kinda crazy, I was at Rural King and seen the t-posts, thought they were for signs 🤦‍♀️ but it was a sign. Because I just happened to come upon this video the same evening. I'm excited for my dogs!! Thank you for what you do!

    I have a picket fence now and its starting to get loose in places. this gives me an idea to reinforce the fence before I can replace it completely down the road. this would fit the budget little better for now.
