NFL is the kids version of RUGBY!
Rugby should be more popular than football. This is WAY more entertaining!
One thing you may not have noticed with the "field goal" (drop kick in rugby) is that you have to let the ball bounce before kicking it, which makes it a lot harder.
It's a non stop game from beginning to end
Well, technically you have the halftime break but aye, both halves are non stop mayhem from start to finish
"What is That" 6:30
That's called a "Line Out", its how the game is restarted when the ball goes out of play on the sides :)
Basically, both teams line up either side of where the ball left he field of play.
One side will have possession and they get to throw the ball.
This give the side in possession a tactical advantage as they can go Long, Short, Mid and they can prepare for that.
The ball has to be thrown down the middle of the 2 lines to make it fair.
Thats the nut shell of it
Isnt it a scrum
@@Blokboi-l8c A Scrum is when both teams form up into separate triangle like shape the field of play.
Once both team have formed up, the front row of both "triangles" then lean forwards so they are bent over and pushing shoulder to shoulder forming a tunnel in between the 2 teams.
The team with possession will then roll the ball into this tunnel, where both teams are allowed to try and drag the ball onto their side while both Triangles are trying to push each other up the pitch.
Its a very simplified version, but that's basically a scrum
Good commentary bro..😎🤙🏴🏉
Welcome to a proper physical game Yankee boy.
Sadly it's a girl's game these days with all the absurd red cards, and there hasn't been a decent fight for about 25 years.Yes,I am exaggerating, girls can't play it.
@sylvaincastelanelli3587 I'm not saying girls don't play just that they can't play, yeah, you sit me in a F1 car or put me on a Motogp bike but I couldn't ride.
Rugby is for people who have no fear of head injuries. With good reason.
Cant remember ever getting a head injury playing rugby........or wednesday🤕🍻
nice
The "Field Goal" is known as a drop-goal which can be attempted at any time in open play. The ball must touch the ground before the player kicks it, it's not a punt. It must go through the uprights and above the bar. Once through the posts the points are scored regardless if an opposition player catches it.
It's usually used at short range. The significance of the one in the film was it was attempted and succeeded from almost the halfway line (50yd)
Have a look for videos about the late Rob Burrows (Leeds Rhinos) rugby league. He was a pocket dynamo 👌
Viril mais correct ! 😆
Dunno if you already know but one of the key rules is you can only pass backwards if you throw the ball.
You can pass forwards with a kick though which can make for some amazing moments
The move around 6 minutes is a rolling maul, the Eagles used something similar it was getting called the unstoppable play, as for the drop goal still legal in NFL more like to see it in college games
You should react to when the fastest rugby players meet each other. It’s a really good video.❤
Ooh, that sounds dope! I’ll check it out for sure, thanks for the heads-up!
There are fast players and strong players. Some are both. When a fast player runs into a strong player, it's often a mismatch resulting in the crunching tackles you see. Concussions do happen in rugby, but the fact that the players aren't wearing crash helmets means that head-to-head tackles are almost always accidental, relatively rare and illegal. Since concussions are the brain being shaken violently within the skull, crash helmets actually increase the risk of concussion rather than diminishing it.
"That pole, if you hit it,,,,", then it doesn't matter! The corner flag is not in play, it's just an indicator of the corner of the playing area. 🙂
I subbed so you can react to SOUTH AFRICAN HIGHSCHOOL RUGBY
I really appreciate your subscription! i Look into that.

It's a "men's" sport, no gussets wrapped in rubber for fear of getting hurt.
Football originated from rugby. Hence the goal posts, tackling, field goals, its even called a touch down in football (try) even though you dont need to touch it down like in rugby. A lot of the tackles we saw in that video were illegal and would result in a penalty to the ball carrier. Tackles must be made with arms and an effort to wrap must be made. If you just use shoulders or body to check the runner, its illegal. Also, head hits are generally illegal and will result in a yellow or red card unless its an absolute accident or there are mitigating circumstances.
What NFL fans dont realize watching highlights is that once a tackle is made, the game continues, and a ruck is formed where both teams can compete for the ball. It's continuous play until a foul, a knock on, or the ball leaves the field of play and they do that for 40 mins a half. NFL is childs play compared to rugby.
Why is it called a Touchdown? Because your game comes from rugby - you got to touch the ball down behind the win line.
And yet to score a touchdown in American and Canadian football, all you have to do is whilst in possession have the nose of the ball to pass the end zone line, whilst in rugby to score a try the ball must be put down with downward pressure over the try line.
yes this is more the rugby they play in clubs lol
Nice reaction, watch the best 3 minutes of rugby Chiefs vs Highlanders Super Rugby NZ. Rugby is growing in the USA and they are Hosting mens world cup in 2031 followed by the Womens in 2033?
Thanks, dude! Rugby is seriously blowing up in the States! Can’t wait to see how the World Cups turn out! 🏉
A note to NFL followers or players. NFL Football has a defense team and offense team, whereas in Rugby League or Union, the same guys in the team attack and defend. No resting up here boys. Can you amagine a Quarter Back constantly defending? Probably not. These are brutal hits, no pads or helmets. You'd probably want double the pay too.
No committee meetings, or dressing up.
Now look up THE VICIOUS SIDE Of Women's Rugby | Watch These Ladies Dish Out Some BIG HITS & MONSTER TACKLES
american football comes from rugby.
so you didnt watch the womens US rugby 7s team ?......c'mon dude get behind your womens rugby team they won bronze
To score a try (touchdown), you must maintain contact with the ball, if you drop it before you touch it down & a defender touches it down, it's a deadball & there is no score.

Thanks for the info.
Korfbal is basketbal what rugbu is like american foodbal😂😂
Rugby league is the superior sport buddy
Both types of rugby to me are superior sports, I watch both kinds of rugby including rugby 7s rugby 9s and wheelchair rugby league.
Yeah, nah, you understand that AMERICAN FOOTBALL is the thing that mixes in other rules. No one else plays NFL but the USA. So your rules were all based on rugby, football (soccer) and footie (Australian football). (As a little tidbit, the 3rd highest points scorer in NFL history is a South African - Gary Anderson, just like the 2nd best free shooter in NBA history is also a South African - Steve Nash).
Many of the videos you saw featured South African and New Zealand players (among others), but not all matches featured were national leagues.
Rugby-playing nations have their own internal leagues, and then there are leagues that play internationally - though not necessarily in world cups. There are rugby leagues from different nations that compete like football. You have Liverpool, Fulham, etc, like you have the Blue Bulls and Saracens, etc. For instance, there's a local Pumas club that plays for South Africa (and internationally), but in international league Los Pumas represent Argentina.
Some teams have official monikers (like Los Pumas) - South Africa are the Springboks, New Zealand are the All Blacks, Australia are the Wallabies, England are the (Red) Roses, Wales are the Dragons, Tonga are Ikale Tahi, etc.
South Africa is the only nation that included only South African players in our world cup teams.
Love your enthusiasm!!! Much love from South Africa.
was waiting to see more eye gouging, head butts and late tackles, this video isn't even mid brutal 3/10.
If you are genuine, why don’t you take a cursory peek at the rules of rugby football? BTW those players are professionals, are 6 ft 5 “ and run 100 yds in 11 seconds. Most rugby however is played by amateurs who are just normal folk.
this is an original sport. The rest copied this
