The most impressive thing of 2021 is that Lucas was sick during the filming of the video. His dedication and creativity are just stunning.

usually when lucas change from international songs to brazilian songs, he starts with brazilian funk, which is one of the most popular genres in the country. the irony is that rock enthusiasts tend to dismiss funk as inferior to rock music. and now that Lucas is focusing on his musical career he does rock concerts with funk songs and they are all amazing.

He started as a comedian (very good one, btw). He always put some music content on his videos since the start, and now he does shows and lots of music related stuff. He still does comedy stuff tho.

Lucas is Brazilian and started on the internet with comedy videos, the guy is a genius for music and has the gift of transforming any musical style into rock. He does a series of concerts called "Minha Playlist de Funk", where he takes several funks (Brazilian music style) and transforms it into rock... it's surreal.
Now every year on the 31st of December he releases his musical retrospective which is insane as you can see... and after the 31st all Lucas fans get together to marathon all the reactions on RUclips, that's our support. Very good reaction, can't wait for you to see the one from 2022. VAI BRASIL 🇧🇷

He showed a little about his guitar skills and got praises, so he started to study more and develop interest in this. he still do some sketchs and other videos, but he also do gigs and stuffs related to music. he's both, a comedian and a musician. He always tried to do both on its channel, some music parodies, some original music, and now those freakin' mashups at the end of the year! He's also a nice guy too
Okay so a couple of things I can add to you, Lucas is more a comedian than a musician, but lately I believe he's been focusing a little bit more on his music, I know he's been doing some concerts. Second thing is, at the very end of "2021 em uma musica" you'll hear a melodic acoustic guitar playing, that was a tribute to Marilia Mendonça, a brazilian singer that passed away that year in a plane accident, she was HUGE here in Brazil, one of the most successful female singers in the recent years.
Oh, by the way, the melody playing is from her song "Esqueça-me se for capaz" that would translate approximately to "forget me if you can", and, obviously, that's the irony, we couldn't forget her!

Also, most of the songs in a foreign language are brazilian songs that were popular that year, and it's brazilian funk a lot of the time, which is a very interesting genre to learn about! It's a genre born in our slums and it's what our first musician to ever be internationally recognized (Anitta) started out producing!
He also uses a few native instruments (the cuica, for example, is used here when he transitions into the brazilian songs). I'm not super knowledgeable about music, so I'd just generally recommend learning about all that if it's something you're interested in!!
Brazilians are very loyal to people who take the time to learn about our culture, and a lot of content creators make their living out of pure brazilian hype LOL (we're just an extremely passionate people)
He was mostly a youtube comedian, but he's obviously always been very passionate about music, and since the first "year in a song" video, he's been focusing on getting better. In 2022 he toured around the country singing rock covers of (mainly) brazilian funk music. I'm a huge fan, and he's clearly STUPID talented!!

About 2022 Em Uma Musica: the production was upped to the moon. It is pike you are watching a movie, and he went absolutely ballistic on the concept and the DRUMS! It is the heaviest and darkest of them all. The only issue (in my opinion) is that 2021 was a better year for good music in general whereas I don’t think we got great songs in 2022.
Still, I think it will blow your mind!
OOooo so sad you didn't heard the acoustic guitar at the end credits of the video. Is an homage to a 2021 deceased brazilian singer called Marília Mendonça. She died in a plane crash and he made this homage to her. But, nice content anyway, just got a new follower.

Lucas got famous by doing some slapstick videos on youtube, being a complete idiot and very funny telling some of him histories since 2013 (9 years) and he started to show us his music talent in 2018, turning Brazilian funk into metal with a drummer friend, then in 2018 both of them started playing it live with some other 2 guys, but they got to stop 'cause of that virus. In 2022, he started again playing live. And he has his own project too, and it started with: 2019 EM UMA MÚSICA and the tradition flows until nowadays
he started youtube as a comedian, but allways had this musician background, he plays all instruments cuz it was hard for him to find friends to play with him so he allways hoped from instrument to instrument when they played. if im not mistaken he started on guitar and then switched up to drums. i'd say that his work today is more split between music and comedy, he even tours with his show called "minha playlist de funk" where he does metal versions of brazilian funk songs. hope my english came out clear enough to be understood.

He is more of a comedian/youtuber/streamer than a musician, but after his "2019 em uma música" video was really succesful he started diving deeper and deeper into music stuff, nowadays he does live tours throughout Brazil playing his metal versions of the most popular brazilian songs.
He recently said on instagram that for 2023 he is planning on doing more music videos similar to his "5 minutes of Travis Scott" and "2000's insane medley" video, and of course, 2023 em uma musica by the end of this year.

Lucas is a youtuber guy that makes little comidic sketches, most of them are non-sense humor or mockery, "inutilismo" means literaly "uselessness", so his channel porpouse is not to take things serious. I guess the only exception is this music mix compilation videos "20** em uma música" he records every year since 2019.
It started after a brazilian youtube comunity tag "my funk playlist" (funk is a brazilian music genere that originated form rap, and is probably the most poupular genere here right now) he made his version of funk songs imagining how it would sound as rock and metal. People liked, and got surpirsed he could join two "antagonic" music generes the lyrics of funk and rock harmony, since than he started making shows of those funk-rock reimagined songs. Then covid came and he adapted it in a new project reimagining the most played songs of each year (internationaly and nationaly) reimagining them in a rock or metal version.
