I really want to encourage those inspired to travel and who are watching these videos to really keep a curiosity and open mind to the natives and indigenous when you’re traveling. Rather than spending 2 or 3 days in each location, hopping around, doing tours with other foreigners, and just checking cities or countries off your bucket list, to instead give space and time to really dive deep into a culture. That to me is what traveling is truly about rather than just stimulating the 5 senses. Sit with people, visit their homes and families, go with the flow, and your heart and soul will be blown away and filled with love and connectedness. You can still have these short experiences when traveling quickly but it’s really nothing than when you spend more time in one place. Quality over quantity. It’s better for your soul and the souls of others you will be able to connect with. ❤️
My husband and I landed in Ecuador in September and are working our way around the country. We should be in Peru the first of March. This series is super helpful in my planning of our Peru visit so thank you! If you need any advice on Ecuador or have questions, feel free to ask! Safe travels.
Peru and Bolviia are somehow cheaper than Ecuador. Safer for traveling too. The good thing of Peru is cheap, safe and with wonderful places to visit , wec can get a 90 days + borderhopping + 90 days visa
Haven't seen your videos for a while...But, so glad you appeared randomly on my screen again... subscribed a couple of years ago and again I'm loving your videos and your adventures 😍🥰
I’m so excited to watch the Peru videos! Peruvian food is literally so amazing I absolutely love it. Also for the elevation don’t feel to bad it truly depends on the person and how their body can handle it! My friend and I went to Colorado which is in the US and we were about 2000m and I was absolutely out of breath for everything! Like there was times where I legitimately couldn’t breathe. But the catch is that I am a pretty active person, I work out 5 times a week and walk around 5 or 6 miles a day, my friend who is couch bound didn’t get out of breathe once😅
The last video of your Peru series was recommended to me by the algorithm. So now after watching that video I'm starting at the beginning, and I'm already getting nostalgic. My first journey to Peru was a 7-week student exchange, which, I am now realizing, was 10 years ago (wow 😳😬), during the summer holidays before my last year of high school. I actually celebrated my 18th birthday there 😁. Most of the time was spent with my exchange family, but the organization I went with offered two 4-day trips with the other students from Germany, first to Cusco and the surrounding area, all the way to Machu Picchu, then into the rain forest. My second time in Peru was in 2017 when I was invited to the wedding of my exchange sister's older sister 😄 it was a great time and I would love to see more of the country. Maybe I will get to travel with my exchange sister sometime, we still keep in touch. I'm excited to watch your other videos!
Hi, I have just watched your video on Puno travel. I have also gone through your video description and your inspiring personal details. These are absolutely great. I am an Indian citizen residing in Chile. I love ravel videos. Sometimes I create travel videos. But I am just tine in this line. Best of luck.
That bus story is so similiar to my story in costa rica, missed a bus and the rest was sold of and so the bus ticket lady called a taxi and then the bus and we had to get in but had no idea what was happening or how much it would be and we had hardly any cash left. Got on the bus though!
Buy a bag of coca leaves from the market, and put a small amount in your cheek to remediate the altitude. Lots or electrolytes! The headaches are real so move slow for the first 48 hrs!
I love to see you traveling around my beautiful country of origin Peru. You are inspiring me to take a trip there and go explore. Thanks Christianne, keep having so much fun!
The best place for kayaking and rafting in Peru and probably in South America is Lunahuana. It is relatively easy to get there. From Cañete town taking a colectivo or van to Lunahuana for about 50 minutes or so
The start of your journey was really quite hectic! But it's those situations that bring the fondest of memories...and good stories to share! That room in stayed in was perfect for some green screen editing! Looking forward to more of this adventure!
Hi from New Zealand, Thanks for all the great things you do to put these out. Also helped last week for our quiz team, in listing largest 10 countries in South America, those maps are a true saviour
Even though it is too late, between Puno and the border of Bolivia, there are several nice small towns with a cozy atmosphere. Better than being in Puno , I think
For what it is worth, Google maps shows a bunch of coffee shops in Puno clustered near the Plaza de Armas, but I have no idea if they are still there and open. Cheers.
I'm excited to begin my backpacking around the world. I start in January heading to Ireland. Worldpackers mostly I think. I have so many questions but don't know where to start.
Really love your channel and am looking forward to this series. I’m just coming to the end of my travels in Peru so will be interesting to see your take on everything. (I’m sad to be leaving but hope to be back sometime soon so can use this series as a springboard for some more ideas!) Just arrived in Puno today so this video couldn’t have arrived at a better time!😀
I’ve had an absolutely fab time! I could stay for another month and it still wouldn’t be enough. So much to do and see! Hope you have a fab time in your travels too!
I’m backpacking South America right now and i am in Peru too! I was so sad that you didn’t hadn’t been here yet as i love your videos and wanted to use ur advice for Peru etc, but it’s so exiting that your here too :) We are doing Peru the opposite way, i started in Ecuador and am travelling south 😊
I am going to be in Bolivia in a few months and this tour looked great. Do you have remember the tour company and what you paid? Would you recommend them?
Hi I love your travel series! I’m going to Bolivia and Peru myself in January / February. What vaccinations did they check when you entered the countries ?;)
I don't know about anyone else watching, but i didn't realise the altitude sickness/breathlessness could linger.... is that typical, rare, or worse for those with a history of asthma/bronchitis ?
Omg Chica, muy preciosa! I'm also struggling with my respiratory and the Altitude here in Bogotá 30 days. I do hope it's not long term post (you know what) symptoms
I’ll see if I can film the next time 😊 but honestly all you do is walk into one of the stores that has the logo of your sim network on, you ask the guy to recharge your sim, he takes your phone and does it, you pay him and then you leave. There isn’t anything special or complicated you need to do ❤️
The level zero of travelling and adventures. Always surrounded by anglo-saxons tourists of her same age wherever she goes. She meets no one else but local tourism professionals.
What you are seeing is just a snapshot of what I get up to 😊 but I know it’s easy to think that what you see on my videos is all I do and everyone I meet. But for the record, it’s not 😉
Is it just me or was that traditional dance really awkward? It’s sad I feel like they are just performing for tourists and it’s not a true part of the culture anymore
I did not 😅 I have no doubt they would be incredibly stress-free but I think that takes most of the challenge out of the adventure which I’m not prepared to let go of. Like going back to beginner mode 🙈

That is a great form of travel for those who are able ❤️
Could go on Tinder, meet a cool local girl, then have your heartbroken when you leave. Happens every time.

I’m loving this series! I’m always so excited whenever I see a new video of yours has been uploaded.
Yayy ❤️❤️
I was in Puno in 2015 and definitely felt the altitude and never got used to it. Thanks for sharing!!
Haven't seen your videos for a while...But, so glad you appeared randomly on my screen again... subscribed a couple of years ago and again I'm loving your videos and your adventures 😍🥰
Welcome back 🥰🥰
Can’t wait for Peru videos!!! Have a good time wherever you may be at this current time!

I guess you have the most fun travel contents , i really enjoying watching . thank you !
Omg those sunsets!!! 🌅😍
So nice 😍 it always feels particularly special and nostalgic seeing them from a bus as well 😅
All the places you went to in this video I also went to 2 weeks prior. Crazy haha. Love watching your videos!
I'm excited for this series!
Yayy so many videos to come!
Lovely. I'll be going solo to Puerto Malabrigo for a surf trip in April. Very excited! Can't wait to see if you surf in Peru.

Do you remember where the bus was supposed to leave from if it wasn’t Hotel Gloria? We are hopefully doing this journey tomorrow!
Awesome video Christianne 😊👍👍
Great vlog wonderful Christie!!! 💖 The boat ride looked fun!!!
I love to see you traveling around my beautiful country of origin Peru. You are inspiring me to take a trip there and go explore. Thanks Christianne, keep having so much fun!
Try Ceviche while being in the coastal area of Peru. It can be found in Cevicherias
Already on it 😉
Absolutely love Arequipe! hope you enjoy it too!

Amazing places you are showing us..👌
The start of your journey was really quite hectic! But it's those situations that bring the fondest of memories...and good stories to share! That room in stayed in was perfect for some green screen editing! Looking forward to more of this adventure!
Hahaha omg I totally should’ve filmed some fun green screen stuff in there! 😂😂

Love your video so much and look forward to the second episode!
🥰🥰
What kayak company was that? Did you find it while in Puno?
Wow Peru is my favorite country I spent 2 months there and over a month in Cuzco. You’re gonna love it lol
🥰🥰
For what it is worth, Google maps shows a bunch of coffee shops in Puno clustered near the Plaza de Armas, but I have no idea if they are still there and open. Cheers.

Oh nice! We travelled in opposite directions! Hope you’ve had a fab time 😊
I’ve had an absolutely fab time! I could stay for another month and it still wouldn’t be enough. So much to do and see! Hope you have a fab time in your travels too!
I’m backpacking South America right now and i am in Peru too! I am also not coping with the altitude 😂
Ohh cool! I feel like most people are travelling southbound! I seem to be the odd one out going north haha
That's quite the altitude. I would be sleepy all the time.
it's pronounced SOL-ess (one SOL, two or more SOL-ess)
glad you're enjoying Peru
Thanks 😅 i think I get the hang of it in the next vlog haha
I am going to be in Bolivia in a few months and this tour looked great. Do you have remember the tour company and what you paid? Would you recommend them?
Nothing like coca(ine) tea in the morning
I just came back from Puno. U missed Kuntur Wasi viewpoint 😀
Wooops 🙈 next time… if I ever go back lol
When I was in Peru the only thing that helped my altitude sickness was Powerade. Maybe you're low in electrolytes!
That’s dehydration then due to low sodium not altitude
Yea banana 🍌, you nailed it 🤣
where you in Puno during the protests?
Hi I love your travel series! I’m going to Bolivia and Peru myself in January / February. What vaccinations did they check when you entered the countries ?;)
Hey! I would recommend checking out the official government website for vaccination entry requirements!
loved this video, the kayaking looks incredible! how are you finding the wheeled 36L osprey? I'm thinking of getting it for my next trip :)
I LOVE being able to wheel it, I’ve only stuck it in backpack formation once 😅
@@BackpackingBananas that will definately be me 😅 thanks!
It’s definitely altitude
How did you book the tours in Puno? I want to do the same tours in December
I booked this at the hostel I was staying at - Iguana Hostel
Can you show us when you recharge your SIM card? I’ve never done that before.
I’ll see if I can film the next time 😊 but honestly all you do is walk into one of the stores that has the logo of your sim network on, you ask the guy to recharge your sim, he takes your phone and does it, you pay him and then you leave. There isn’t anything special or complicated you need to do ❤️
Omg! Saw todays video in Lima! Thank you for the demo!
🖤
What vaccinations did you need to get into Peru?
so where did the minibus depart from? just in case ill do the same haha😅
About 100m down the road, on the opposite side
The level zero of travelling and adventures. Always surrounded by anglo-saxons tourists of her same age wherever she goes. She meets no one else but local tourism professionals.
Don’t forget not everything gets filmed
What you are seeing is just a snapshot of what I get up to 😊 but I know it’s easy to think that what you see on my videos is all I do and everyone I meet. But for the record, it’s not 😉
Hi, I’m in Arequipa right now. I’m travelling on my own and it would be great if we could meet. See you there then perhaps 😉
I am no longer in Arequipa, i hope you have a fab time xx
You are in my city now.
“I don’t know if they were taking my temperature or my fingerprint, but I just stuck my finger in there” 😂
😂
primer y unico comentario en español :v
I love you ma'am from India
I don't see where Peru is checking for vaccine status and it appears their mask mandates have ceased as well. 11/29/2022
Yeh you don’t have to wear masks anywhere, but the vaccine check was still in place! Though this video was filmed 5 weeks ago
T4
Is it just me or was that traditional dance really awkward? It’s sad I feel like they are just performing for tourists and it’s not a true part of the culture anymore
I felt a little bit like that as well. The whole Taquile tour felt quite forced actually, it wasn’t my favourite experience
titticaca is about the worst name I've ever heard.
😂😂 they didn’t think too deeply about that one did they
Did you use Peru or Bolivia hop? They should be less stess hopping around
I did not 😅 I have no doubt they would be incredibly stress-free but I think that takes most of the challenge out of the adventure which I’m not prepared to let go of. Like going back to beginner mode 🙈
