Whenever I see the old Narutimate games in PS2. I always remember my friend whom I always used to play it with after school then our usual routine is to buy a softserve ice cream afterwards. I can almost taste it out of nostalgia while watching this. My friend unfortunately died in a motor accident. Rip my friend.

I really miss the Ultimate Ninja games. I wish we were given modern ports or something like the Storm games. It's how my friend introduced me to Naruto in the mid 2000s. I dreaded whenever he did jutsus cuz I was so bad at the game. I eventually got better and it was so fun spending countless hours going back and forth. At this point in time, we only had Ultimate Ninja 2 in the US. We never got to play Ultimate Ninja 4 together but.... that can change. I'll make sure of it.
They should have kept it like that, where it instantly deletes part of the earth, instead it just became some slow burning flame that you could avoid by taking your shirt off, because no one ever thought to aim for the face.
He didnt rly reach Itachi power. He got stronger AFTER he got Itachi eyes, but he would never get his eyes if a) Itachi wasnt dying b) Itachi didnt want this to happen. Of course by the end of the series Sasuke is crazy broken, but the last arc was just author on drugs tbh
@@jeanpablotwice6058 sasuke definitely could reach itachi's eyes, and itachi warned him not to fight him in the future without a magekyu but he decided that he wont follow itachi anymore. which is why he never got a mangekyo before the fight. now ofcourse itachi is much older than sasuke, so he would obviously win if he was serious and there was no story involved but thats another matter.
I wish Ninja Storm could go back to the old ways the ultimate jutsu was so god-like they need to bring this back, they need to bring clashes back, Ultimate jutsu was a lot longer I miss these types of games
Longer ultimates are really boring after u see them for the 10th time it just becomes tedious for both the players. Would U like ur hp slowly drop with the same ass cutscene for the 50th time.

@@coreyphillips8352 - I do remember those watching those videos too. That was pretty cool, but yeah you had to pick what ultimate you wanted to use before the beginning of each match. Similar to the storm series where you pick your support person and such. Those ultimate ninja games were awesome.

You just had to press triangle one, two or three times before pressing circle (one time for the weakest one, two for the middle and three for the strongest one). In 4 and 5 they changed the system and the available ultimate depended on your health and awakened status (usually the weak one was available from the start until you lost 50% of your healt, then you could use the middle one called "reverse" and if you were in awakening mode, usually achieved by doing a taunt or certain moves, you could use the strongest one. IIIRC you only had to pick the jutsu in the Storm series
Shame that the Team Up Ultimates aren't here, because other than the full Akatsuki team up, Itachi and Shisui's is definitely the most eye candy of the UNS games.
The old ones kinda looked better, the way they incorporated the manga illustrations and onomatopoeia’s blended seamlessly with the cel shaded graphics.
Yep, but unfortunately ps2 games look kinda awful on modern hdtv (with a few exceptions like Soul Calibur and DOA series). Yep, you could use an old CRT tv but not everyone still owns one. Alternatively you could emulate the games and upgrade the graphics (but there are glitches and slowdowns) or use an ossc or retrotink to upscale the analog signal to 1080p but it won't enhance the actual video quality

It's because due to how limited Itachi's canon moveset was at the time, CC2 was free to go wild on their creativity. Also, he was *THE* ultimate bad guy at the start, arguably more than even Orochimaru.

The CC2 was so creative! I wish they make a new IP aside from .hack series (i played for the first time some days ago, the game didn't aged well in terms of gameplay, but have some very creative things in the lore)

@@Bubblesonaplate maybe an early development of what Amaratsu was? But that's not what it is today. Amaratsu are black flames that never die out until the victim or object is nothing but ash. Kamui is when you can make anything that your eye is focused on disappear into another space. Like a black hole you might as well say. And if you pay attention in the video 0:35 Whatever Itachi was focusing on, they disappeared with black flames left behind. The objects didn't burn away. they literally got blown away, like a black hole with black flames leftover. Best way to notice it. look at the part when he looks at the boulder. Part of it just disappears just like if you was using kamui. Only difference is the black flames get left behind on it. So maybe this was the original concept of what Amaratsu was supposed to be. But as in today. That's definitely kamui with Amaratsu flames left behind.
@@topperjjeseeyt Its not kamui. Remember it's a tsukyomi and Itachi just made amaterasu more scarier and powerful in the illusion to scare the target. Itachi cant use kamui and amaterasu was never like that.

They have to make shit up as they go along in the earlier games because a lot of the character's techniques and even trump cards aren't shown yet in the manga. For example, one of Naruto's move is to have the 4th Hokage appear and beat up the enemy for him.
yeah. both dragon ball and naruto were the kings of anime fighting games back in the day and even now. both dominate the top 10 most sold anime games of all time lol (u can google it if u don't believe me.) both series are goated as hell.
When it comes to original naruto games, the ones for ps2 are the best, they have cutscenes and multiple jutsus, naruto ultimate ninja storm for ps3 was a huge dissapointment.

@@Bubblesonaplate maybe an early development of what Amaratsu was? But that's not what it is today. Amaratsu are black flames that never die out until the victim or object is nothing but ash. Kamui is when you can make anything that your eye is focused on disappear into another space. Like a black hole you might as well say. And if you pay attention in the video 0:35 Whatever Itachi was focusing on, they disappeared with black flames left behind. The objects didn't burn away. they literally got blown away, like a black hole with black flames leftover. Best way to notice it. look at the part when he looks at the boulder. Part of it just disappears just like if you was using kamui. Only difference is the black flames get left behind on it. So maybe this was the original concept of what Amaratsu was supposed to be. But as in today. That's definitely kamui with Amaratsu flames left behind.

Remember it's a tsukyomi and Itachi just made amaterasu more scarier and powerful in the illusion to scare the target. Itachi cant use kamui and amaterasu was never like that.

I totally forgot Itachi had that cross in his ultimate jutsu.
They have to make shit up as they go along in the earlier games because a lot of the character's techniques and even trump cards aren't shown yet in the manga.
For example, one of Naruto's move is to have the 4th Hokage appear and beat up the enemy for him.
