And I don't think we can judge just because we don't understand the responses. The fans in Buenos Aires were mourning spontaneously, it was not media-driven behaviour. So while there are indeed great events happening all across the globe and thousands dying in war zones, for some people the death of this young man carries enormous emotional resonance. I didn't know anything much about him but I can commiserate with the grief of his family, friends and fans at the loss of such a young life.
