This song is actually from a Richard Rodgers musical called ‘No Strings’ which was about an interracial couple falling in love in Paris. When they remade Cinderella with Brandy, they put this song in it.

@@oceaneyes_27 No Strings? It’s a Broadway musical that was never made into a film. If you search No Strings - The Sweetest Sounds, you’ll hear the original.
I think they put "from Cinderella" because the way she's singing it is from the Cinderella rendition. Brandy sings it more breathy and in her head voice (the same technique Ari is using here)
I'm glad Ariana knows this song exists. Would love to hear a duet with her and Brandy

Millennial here. Grew up watching this as my Cinderella and have been obsessed and still am obsessed. As a child born in 1993, I remember LOVING this movie. I still sing these songs to this day as a 28 year old. Didn’t know skin color. Didn’t know Whitney. Did not recognize anything. Just knew I loved this movie and the music. To this day I appreciate and love this movie and the songs that come with it. Thank you brandy, Whitney and cast, etc. 💙🤍👑🤴🐭👗🪄✨

I Love Ariana!!!!😍😍😍😍 and its b/c I Love Ariana and Brandy is why I am saying this, I am disappointed w/ this b/c she sounded like Brandy and Not herself. Brandy did this song so great that I came here looking for an Ariana version not Ariana sounding like Brandy to her song. Ariana's voice is so powerful and Beautiful that I really wanted to hear her own version of the song we both happen to Love(she did a cover of the song^😎). Still nice especially b/c she did sound like Brandy yet just not happy w/ it. Still Brandys' song.
She did it kind of off the cuff while getting her makeup done. It's not like she took the time to make her own arrangement of it and put it out. She sang it very simply while she was chillin. It's not that big a deal.
