I lived in Okinawa for 7 years, probably saw them a hundred times. Became good friends with Chibi (singer). When I had them, they had recently changed their name to Okinawa. George Muraski is phenominal on keyboards, and is obviously a big Deep Purple fan. But in concert, they played, no more than four DP songs. They had a great catalogue of tunes they covered and some original tunes. They didn't today's lastest and great. But the best of classic rock. But definitely not a cover band.
Yeah, I have 2 Murasaki releases, and some other Okinawan bands, no Yonin Bayashi though. I'd never remembered to give them a try, always intended to. :P
Where can a person download this music. We were big fans on Okinawa in the mid-70s, George was a regular at ( might have owned) our favorite club on Gate 2 Street outside Kadena.
saw them myself 74-76. just out of the ginowan gate on b.c. street. i recall george and that they sang phoenetically; only geo spoke english. i had several recording that got stolen after i got home to the states... nice to find this again all these years later

@Shaddowdragonz Yes it does. Makes sense since they're a Deep Purple tribute-ish band.

Im lookin for Murasaki albums and second album of Yonin Bayashi.. you have it? :P
A lot of influence from Deep Purple.
せめてバンド名はデビュー前に変えておくべきだったのでは?それも含めて上手いコピーバンドの域を越える事が出来なかったのでは?
