Hi Wayne the more I learn and the more I study Noel playing these songs acoustically it seems he is adding extra strums or changing pattern back and forth mid song. Notably in live performances of this and don’t go away, which is what you refer to doing in this vid. It’s something I’ve started doing, I take it there is no real issue with doing that as long as your timing is still on point and your not adding bars in etc ie the strumming pattern isn’t the be all and end all, providing the other bits are on point?
Noel gets slated for using a lot of the same chords but he’s definitely a master at his rhythm particular his strumming. I definitely can’t replicate him bang on but I think my guide patterns are fairly close. And I bet like a lot of other musicians he plays the songs differently every time he plays them live.
@@waynerguitar4783 I couldn’t agree more, his rhythms and melodies are spot on. it’s funny that all the years I was buying their albums and watching them live I never noticed strumming patterns (apart from maybe Wonderwall) but now I’m finally playing I notice all sorts of different elements. Thanks for replying Wayne, have A nice evening
Thanks Wayne. I’ve pretty much learned the guitar from scratch using your videos - keep up the great work. Any chance you could do [As Long As They've Got] Cigarettes In Hell?
