wow... for a second... no wait, for a day hahaha (!) I was made to feel like you need to be a rocket scientist with all the hooha explanations as provided on various forums.. even some clips (without voice) .. so this clip.. what a relief! Concise, easy to follow and precisely what I needed to make it work! 😀 (converting sacd iso file to wav) just great.. awesome work and many thanks!
Hi, Foobar 2000 version is more advanced now, the Asio version as well. I didn't manage to activate the Asio. Can you please update the video to current software versions? Thanks!!!
Great video.... So very simple to understand and follow.... There are some other videos on youtube that are so complicated to follow... Hats of to you !!!
@@zadiusaudio8629 Now I need help to get a controller working. I messed with Foobar2000 Controller Pro and FoobarCon for many hours. Could never successfully link them.
You don't need to use DSD processor to play standard 2.8Mhz SACD. DSD processor must be used only to TRANSCODE higher sample rate DSD files such as 5.8Mhz and 11.2Mhz to lower sample rate supported by your DAC. Also note that only a few high end DACs can play DSD in native way. Most DACs simply convert it to PCM internally. This makes adjusting volume possible in digital way. So I think for budget DAC it is best to convert it in PCM right in foobar2000, selecting high quality direct 64bit DSD to PCM conversation.
Hi, i have an issue; when i reproduce the DSD files, they start lagging creating a continuos "start and stop" of the track... how can I fix it? thanks in advance
G'day mate I've got no luck at all with trying to play DSD256 with Foobar 2000 done every thing by your instructions but it tells me " Unrecoverable playback error: Sample rate of 705600 Hz not supported by this device " please can you help me with a solution please ( running a iFi Zen Dac )
I would suppose foobar works with most dacs? Zadius, what price range for small dac I should start considering if I respect myself and Genesis? I will run with yamaha receiver after dac is set up.
So far the DACs I have tried have worked with Foobar2000. I tried this DAC out and it worked with Foobar2000, I think it would work well for your setup and price range is good: amzn.to/3idSwsr
Thanks a lot for this video. I just brought iFi Zen Dac V2 and was wondering why my flac files are outputting only 44.1khz to my Zen Dac (displaying yellow color). After your video everything works and all colors work perfectly. Could you help me understand what is ASIO? I am not clear about that.
so i got a idsd black label and i did everything shown here, but when i play DSD files, theres constant clicks and pops, can anyone tell me what the problem is?
Make sure you install the latest firmware for your device from iFi's website as well as the latest drivers...DO NOT USE the default windows driver that gets installed.

Миллион лайков тебе мужик. Я много русскоязычных роликов посмотрел, и ни кто мне не помог, кроме тебя, который на английском говорит. СПАСИБО!!!
Many thanks! I was pulling my hair out trying to get the configuration correct. Up and running within a few minutes after watching this.
You're welcome!

Not sure about that, don't have much experience with it.

Thanks!
THANK YOU VERY MUCH. NOW YOU CAN ENJOY MORE OF MY MUSIC
Awesome guide! Cheerio!
foobar2000 shows it's playing DSD now, but my dac Loxjie D30 still displays PCM. Could it be because my PC/sound card is converting the DSD to PCM?
Very well-made video!! Straight to the point, precise no BS :)
Thank you for the help!!!
I followed everything exact and no luck. My Foobar refuses to play DSD! Any help very welcome indeed. Great video BTW. Wish it worked for me. :(

Thanks a bunch boss! Topping's instruction dint include DSD Processor install.
You're welcome!
Good video mate! But i have one problem, some of my recordings in dsd128 are doing clipping noise sometimes. Do you have any idea what it could be?
Not sure what it could be, you should play around with the settings maybe if you change something it might help.
Hi, have you solved the noise problem?
i just found out apparently dsd sometimes went beyond 0db.. and there's some dac or something idk that cant handle it (idk the detail tho)
Thanks! Thanks! Thanks Again!
Can I play DSD/DSF only with ASIO4ALL? Or do I have to use DAC on my PC?
Thx u so much dude!
You're welcome!
Anybody having issue downloading the Super Audio CD Decoder? My computer detected virus/spyware in the download.

Hello May i Know this is for optical output setup right? Or USB connection
I set my DAC up with USB connection.

Basically the ASIO driver allows you to access hardware directly. More info here: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Audio_Stream_Input/Output
Very usefull. Thank you!

Does this work without a DAC? im new to this type of music quality so I don't know what to do
No, you'll need a DAC that supports DSD audio. This DAC is pretty affordable and supports DSD playback: amzn.to/3j7KtNg
@@zadiusaudio8629 I see thank you
I don't manage to install Asio.
thanks!
