Prisc Moi I just recently binge watched Gossip Girl all the way up to season 5. I won't even bother watching season 6 based on the comments I've read about it. In my mind, Gossip Girl ended with Dan and Blair together.
Starting from 0:29 where Dan talks about how Blair encompasses all the things he doesn’t like and how throughout we thought it was all about Serena but it turned out to be about Blair, just my heart 😍 I’m a sucker for those kind of tropes
"that girl is fiercely strong, independent, outspoken, beautiful, capable of anything" i don't think chuck ever complemented her like that. if she questioned her self worth he would be like "well i'm chuck bass and i love you" as if being loved by a bass was better than assuring her that she's beautiful and capable of anything
Excuse me have you watched gg? He said to her that you are the most powerful woman I know don't let any one tell u other wise.. In season 5 he said to her that you are the lightest (means brightest) thing that comes in my life
@@wardahanwar4885 lmao don't get defensive. he did complement her I get that. I prefer chuck over Dan I just couldn't recall a time when he selflessly complemented her in that way
I’ll admit-I’ve always loved Chuck more than Dan. However, Dan & Blair’s relationship stole the show for me. They are incredible together & deserved so much more than the writers gave them. Their relationship made sense; it grew overtime & progressed into something HEALTHY. They were meant to be and should’ve ended up together. Nothing will change my mind on that.
So beautiful. Thank you for making this. The "locking eyes with someone's who doing the same things and feeling the same things as me" line was perfectly matched with the right clips.
I just truly don't understand why the writers had to destroy all of this , i mean this iiiss beyoooond amazing , tbh i used to ship chair a lot ,i was always in chuck's side , but when dan and blair started that frien-nemie kinda relationship and it developed into something magical i couldn't help but root for dair all the way ! But still can't get over the fact that blair was talking sh*t about dan in the series finale with serena right before she got married , it just doesn't make sense at allllll !!! After alll they've been through
it’s been eight years since the show ended and here i am, i’m so bitter that dan and blair weren’t endgame :( it was such a sweet and pure relationship. can they just erase the sixth season and keep dair a relationship🥺
Dan & Blair had to be together at the end. But bloody Show Creators gave her away to Evil, to prove us, that there is no justice not only in a real world.
@@impossibledial i know it's an old comment but i was bingewatching the show again and you're so right!! the lily/rufus parallels to blair/dan are astounding, i know everyone thought of serena and dan as their parents but nope, it was dair all along and in my mind the same story will happen to them in the future, no way the og couples will last and thank goodness there's fanfics for that
headcanon: chair are divorced by now bc he cheated on her with his barely legal assistant and dair are having an affair, meeting in hotel rooms, having sex and reading poetry to each other or watching foreign movies with subtitles.
Honestly this is most likely what happened . It’s delusional to think that they would all still be happily married. Serena is probably on husband number three lol 😂
before I was chair shipper but now I just grew up and I realize that Dan was the better for Blair. He didn’t make her feel ever bad (I mean yes, but he didby conscious) He was so much in love with her...and all he ever wanted is her happy. Like in the scene of the princess one. He help her when she need him. And he was there for her, always, without conditions. He saw the good in her even when she treats him horrible. Really horrible. They were simple and healthy. Nothing toxic, the oposite of Chair. They started like good friends and they relationship was so good explored. I think that the writers did Chair end game just because they knew that the fans were all teenagers that want Chair because it’s toxic and it gets so much drama, and that’s all that the teenagers want. But now, that I grew up, I realize that they could be the perfect duo.
2:51 "hoping that i'll lock eyes with somebody who's doing the same things as me and feeling the same things i am" 10/10 this one of my favorite parts of the video
dan and blair were, fundamentally ,completely different people. this idea is pushed especially in the earlier seasons. but as you begin to look beneath the surface more and more, you can see they are perfect twin flames.
When i first watched gossip girl i was so mad that blair and dan dated but now as i mature more and more i felt like dan and blair were perfect together. He saw good in her other than her schemings what most people see in her but at the end she was much more than that and dan appreciated that part of her. Hope i would have understood this at that time of my life.
As a grown woman happily married I know realize how toxic Chuck and Blair were together. I now understand her relationship with Dan. I actually like them together now .
I absolutely love Chuck and Blair but even I have to admit this was a superior couple. They were the enemies to lovers done right. They brought the best in each other.
Cryingggg 😭 Dan and Blair are the only couple on GG I care about like I will only rewatch the show for them and I skip everything else. I literally get attacked online for loving them!? I just finished binge watching this show and the writers did them so dirty, I'm upset they weren't endgame, and this edit does them so much justice, I love the fact that you included the voiceovers over the people who supported Dan and Blair's happiness such as Rufus and Vanya, the parallels in the elevator, "Dan loves me for me", the tiara and the met steps, the kisses, the music choice. I keep coming back to this video and keep viewing how amazing it was well put together, thank you for this.
They did them super dirty, especially Dan. Made him look bad in an uncharacteristic way just so the break up can be justified. I love their slow burn. It was always there and slowly evolved if you put all their scenes together.
@@Egomie_666 their slow burn was better than their actual relationship cause that’s when they started messing things up but I agree, you could tell the really tried their hardest to evolve them as characters only for them to revert back to same toxic relationships they had in the beginning
why it hurts so much even after years knowing that they didn't end up together, For me it ended where they are happily living with their two daughters in France
And it's so nice to hear how everyone know they were ment to be even Serena said so her self and when blair was with Chuck and chuck told Nate "shut up no one understand's what we have" and Nate told chuck "yeah no one understand's because it's not normal". @@falseglimmer4590 truly it sucks that popularity won over common sense and an actually well built relationship (i'm glad you like my comments, i hope you have a nice day)
I think that Dan was always in love with Blair, even when he was obsess with Serena. When Blair’s mother picks Serena to be her model and Blair ran away from Serena, who follow her? Dan. I think that he was her true love but like they say: when you are in a toxic relationship it’s easy. And you start to feel comfortable there, being hurt. Because it’s what you are used to do, be hurt, and because you know how it feels you prefer that than something that it’s new. She is used to suffering from chuck, it's easy because she's known. Dan shows him true, healthy love, and I think Blair ended up with Chuck because he was afraid of feeling something very strong for Dan and that he hurt her like Chuck did, then it was on the simple side and he went to the familiar, Chuck. Just for being afraid of the new, the healthy, the true.
It just doesn't make any sense thematically speaking in regards to how Gossip Girl is always commenting on class differences, wouldn't it have made more sense for Dan, a middle class writer hating on the rich while secretly wishing to be one to end up with Blair, someone who never would have dared to be with someone "beneath her" it shows both of their character developments. And the way Dan started to realize that Serena, his childish blonde obsession thinking she was different from the rest of the elite, only to find out she isn't while with Blair he found out she works just as hard as he does to earn her place amongst the elite. It makes more sense narratively if Dan ended up with Blair to prove that Dan's beliefs about the UES were right and wrong at the same time. Plus, all Blair wanted was to be happy with someone who understands ALL of her, Louis only saw the good, Chuck the bad, and Dan BOTH. Ugh, season 6 is non-existent in my mind.
I know that many people thought that the writers made a mistake but honestly they were my favorite couple and after seeing the fact that she ended with chuck it made me sad, because they were the most healthy couple in the show and they brought the best of each other. Dan gave Blair the opportunity to be best of herself without the need to prove herself who she was. Dan finally was able to feel comfortable and didn't need to think about what move to take because when he dated Serena and Vanessa there was always something that got in the way from having a stable relationship. Serena doesn't deserve dan or nate in my opinion.
Hey OP back for the millionth time to watch this thank you for blessing us 🙏. I can't even pick a favorite part but the elevator parallel is up there. Also, your description makes me laugh every time.
I will never forgive the writers for the end of season 5 and season 6. They made Dan into a bad guy just so they could push the Chuck fan service. Cowardly if you ask me. I loved Dan and Blair together. They should have ended up together.
i remember the first time I saw gg i hated the idea of these two becoming a couple, I didn't watch their scenes I didn't give them any chance, years later they became my favorite couple. I still love Chuck and Blair and their relationship was really interesting but now I cry for those two who didn't end up together.

There’s no question, Dan was the better man than Chuck in every way. Too bad Blair didn’t feel she deserved to be loved like that.
Kelly Lund They were supossed to end up together, but fans made Chair and Derena ended up together.
Iana Radivel. Damnit that sucks
God. Dan literally wrote a book talking about how bad the upper east siders are. He was Gossip Girl and he published their personal lives.
Allie Mikaelson he didn't published they're personal life; they sent the gossips against each other and he just posted it. And yess, he posted a book talking about the REAL upper east side, that isn't as cute as everyone thought.
@@alexandracalinescu9194 was he wrong tho? lmao
I always liked the idea of a Chuck Bass, some rich dude who could give me everything I want. But Dan was perfect for Blair because he was supportive and healthy and loving. He listened and they could be intellectual with one another. This should have happened. This would be what I want.
But i think dan like people only liked in serial.. In real life every one find always the rich guy and marrie if isn't they are happy or not...at last all excuse that they are financially stable..
@@abhishekrai7324 Most people would rather be with a middle class or poor guy who respects them than a rich guy who is toxic.
The show ends for me right after the scene where Blair is a princess for the last time and then walks away with Dan. So they're endgame.
Rt
Man literally wrote the whole book about her what else do y'all need
It's almost 2019 and I'm still bitter wow.
Prisc Moi I just recently binge watched Gossip Girl all the way up to season 5. I won't even bother watching season 6 based on the comments I've read about it. In my mind, Gossip Girl ended with Dan and Blair together.
@@erinm6830 that was felt some dream can come true.. Them.. And made us happy to...
its 2020 and I'm still bitter. :(
@@amyferreira8244 Me too, i'm watching music videos of them. It's making me sad :(
I can only enjoy the moments they had.
It's 2020 and I'm still bitter lmao
2020 and I still thinking that they should have ended up together
I think the same):
Starting from 0:29 where Dan talks about how Blair encompasses all the things he doesn’t like and how throughout we thought it was all about Serena but it turned out to be about Blair, just my heart 😍 I’m a sucker for those kind of tropes
"that girl is fiercely strong, independent, outspoken, beautiful, capable of anything"
i don't think chuck ever complemented her like that. if she questioned her self worth he would be like "well i'm chuck bass and i love you" as if being loved by a bass was better than assuring her that she's beautiful and capable of anything
The "locking eyes with someone's who doing the same things and feeling the same things as me" line was perfectly matched with the right clips.
it's 2018 and i finally realize how toxic chuck is.
Knight Nine Yayy
Same girl, same. Progress
I hate you
good for u
If they ever reboot I would like to see balir and Dan as endgame
I just truly don't understand why the writers had to destroy all of this , i mean this iiiss beyoooond amazing , tbh i used to ship chair a lot ,i was always in chuck's side , but when dan and blair started that frien-nemie kinda relationship and it developed into something magical i couldn't help but root for dair all the way ! But still can't get over the fact that blair was talking sh*t about dan in the series finale with serena right before she got married , it just doesn't make sense at allllll !!! After alll they've been through
I agree! Dan gave Blair everything and asked for nothing in return.. The least she could do was be nice to him in s6😐
2:52 that parallel omg rip my heart out why dont you!!
miss them so much big sigh this song this video maybe my eyes are sweating
karyn nice profile picture!!!
it’s been eight years since the show ended and here i am, i’m so bitter that dan and blair weren’t endgame :( it was such a sweet and pure relationship. can they just erase the sixth season and keep dair a relationship🥺
you're so right also i love your sasuke icon
Dan & Blair had to be together at the end. But bloody Show Creators gave her away to Evil, to prove us, that there is no justice not only in a real world.
I know right. It helps to think of the Lily and Rufus parallels because then you know (at least to me) that in the future they got back together.
It's so True and Sad!
@@melissaperez5370 ON HUSBAND THREE LMAOO 😭

This is seriously the best dair video I have ever seen. Thank you for blessing us with this!!
before I was chair shipper but now I just grew up and I realize that Dan was the better for Blair.
He didn’t make her feel ever bad (I mean yes, but he didby conscious)
He was so much in love with her...and all he ever wanted is her happy.
I love the kind of love Dan and Blair had. Thank you for making me appreciate it even more through this absolutely masterpiece
Its 2019, I am rewatching GG and I just really wished Dan and Blair ended up together.
It's 2020 now and I'm rewatching it, and still mad they didn't end up together. I like to delete the last season from my memory.
@@nikw94 In loop since 2012. :( GG ended with Blair and Dan at the Met
It's almost 2020 and people still refuse to accept how perfect for each other these two are... ughhh.
the defenition of right person wrong time
"I've been trying to convince myself that I can handle being friends with her but I realized tonight that I can't" Aww Dan :(
When i first watched gossip girl i was so mad that blair and dan dated but now as i mature more and more i felt like dan and blair were perfect together. He saw good in her other than her schemings what most people see in her but at the end she was much more than that and dan appreciated that part of her. Hope i would have understood this at that time of my life.
I don't care how they decided to break this couple up, they're the endgame in my fantasy
best dair video hands DOWN> dair was my favorite ship on this show, they weren't canon strictly for fan service but they're honestly meant to be
i honestly think it's unhealthy for me to watch this on a daily basis I loved them so much together :((
Glad I'm not the only one faithfully coming back to this video lol it's SO GOOD.
Aww I love how you showed their journey + the parallels!
As a grown woman happily married I know realize how toxic Chuck and Blair were together. I now understand her relationship with Dan. I actually like them together now .
when i first watched gossip girl i shiped chair sm but when i rewatched it i realized that dair should have been endgame i love them thogetter sm!
September 2019, and I'm still obsessing over them. I soo love their chemistry ❤️❤️
2021 and I'm still not over them!
Amen really ! I can’t believe how much time I needed to realize chair was toxic
I absolutely love Chuck and Blair but even I have to admit this was a superior couple. They were the enemies to lovers done right. They brought the best in each other.
So true ♥️
IM CRYING THIS IS SO GOOD!!!! BLAIR AND DAN DESERVED BETTER
Cryingggg 😭 Dan and Blair are the only couple on GG I care about like I will only rewatch the show for them and I skip everything else. I literally get attacked online for loving them!? And I’ve never even talked trash about Chair I never even mention them lol. I just get attacked for loving Dair like whyyyy
i'm tearing up...I freaking loved them..they were everything.
God, this is soooo amazing. One of the best dair videos I've seen in a long time.
i dont know how many times i have watched this. it is a fucking masterpiece. thank you
I just finished binge watching this show and the writers did them so dirty, I'm upset they weren't endgame, and this edit does them so much justice, I love the fact that you included the voiceovers over the people who supported Dan and Blair's happiness such as Rufus and Vanya, the parallels in the elevator, "Dan loves me for me", the tiara and the met steps, the kisses, the music choice.
I loved their relationship so much.
Loved it, the song at the background and the order of scenes with the dialogue give me goosebumps everytime.
I'm crying😭 beautiful edit.So glad ppl are still making DAIR edits, they were so epic together.damn writers
why it hurts so much even after years knowing that they didn't end up together,
For me it ended where they are happily living with their two daughters in France
And it's so nice to hear how everyone know they were ment to be even Serena said so her self and when blair was with Chuck and chuck told Nate "shut up no one understand's what we have" and Nate told chuck "yeah no one understand's because it's not normal". And that is how my dair friends is what you called knowing. 😊❤️👌
Such a tender and sweet video 🥰 loved it! ❤
This video is amazing. Sobbing. In my heart dair will always be the best GG couple, the one that had the best development, s6 was a joke. Dare to dair forever.
I literally sat here clutching my heart the whole time I watched this. thank you so much for making this gorgeous edit 💛
The end game we all deserve! 2021 and still can't get over these two :(
sorry to be back i just... god this is the best dair video out there it really captures what i liked the most about them and why they worked so well together.
flowerbookmark i’m glad you’re back, you’re comments have me dying. i totally agree. such a missed opportunity with them.
@@falseglimmer4590 truly it sucks that popularity won over common sense and an actually well built relationship (i'm glad you like my comments, i hope you have a nice day)
Dan was the love of Serena’s life, but she wasn’t his. It was Blair, it is Blair and it will always be Blair.
👏👏👏👏👏
I don't think there was a reason why she came back to chack. She outgrow from him in season 5. I think the writers just wanted chair to be an endgame.
always coming back to this video
I always go back to this video..I still feel that dan and blair was the perfect fit..
Dan and Blair were the greatest GG love story, and honestly the more you rewatch it the more you see that
Serena and Dan’s relationship is sexual but Blair and Dan’s relationship is about real love
This is absolutely amazing
Watching this video again and I just want add how perfect the scenes of 2:50 till 2:55 are. Dan and Blair were soulmates.
This is the first Dair video that made me cry 😭. Congrats
i still can't believe creators killed this beautiful relationship which had build up from 1st season.
Absolutely LOVE them!!!
Wow! I cried my eyes out. I love them!
I’m so emotional :’)
incredible. they were perfect for each other. forever bitter. one of the best vids i've seen of them x
This is the best video i ever watched on Dair❣️…loved it. They are together in my world🥰
They were really perfect... I'm just so sad for their ends...
Perfect video!! Dair is just the best, great song choice btw
What a gorgeous tribute to them!!!
They deserve each other and have their own ending. 😢
Best couple of the show😍😢
Hey OP back for the millionth time to watch this thank you for blessing us 🙏. I can't even pick a favorite part but the elevator parallel is up there. Also, your description makes me laugh every time.
I like to pretend that the show ended with Dair “princess” scene on the met steps :)
this is so beautiful! you’re so talented 🥺😍
I will never forgive the writers for the end of season 5 and season 6. They made Dan into a bad guy just so they could push the Chuck fan service. Cowardly if you ask me. I loved Dan and Blair together. They should have ended up together.
Omg this is so beautiful! Great job
i remember the first time I saw gg i hated the idea of these two becoming a couple, I didn't watch their scenes I didn't give them any chance, years later they became my favorite couple. I still love Chuck and Blair and their relationship was really interesting but now I cry for those two who didn't end up together.
I'm back like a year later to tell you again this is still the best Dair fanvid.
I love romcom Dair edits, I love sentimental melancholy edits, I love Dair in all one million shades 😭
I love that this video is slow paced, bc I really need to see Dair scenes in slowmo, the kisses, the lovelorn eyes, their smiles, beautiful faces... this edit makes me ACHE for a sweeping Dair romance movie
