That goat jumping in the background is killing me. She is hilarious. ❤❤❤
I saw that too! I laughed so hard 😂
I was just going to comment on that. I totally missed what Heather was saying and had to rewind.😂😂😂
Omg 2:49 and 2:50 the goat jumping to look in the background 😂
Who was the little jumping jack that kept popping up to look into Clovers stall to see what was going on? I chuckled everytime! Another super awesome video Heather! Thank you so much.❤
I forget who was doing that, I'll have to watch it again later to see!
I don’t know if you’ve ever watched Sandi Brock… she uses selenium. Also, when she has a lamb whose legs don’t straighten (Your little buck’s legs fortunately did straighten, yay!) she keeps stiff tubes that she cuts in half, makes little splints, adds some cushion material, and wraps their legs.
Yes she is great! I do have some splint stuff should we need in the future ♥
I have 1 doe left to kid, and she's a first timer. I am sure she is carrying a single.
Since I lost my breeding buck this last year, (after he had done his job) I figured I would keep all his daughters. So far, I have 7 girls and 2 boys! 😱
Congrats!! What an awesome ratio! Sorry about your buck.
Delighted Clover has seemed to figure out new motherhood and the bucklings are getting stronger every day.
I just had babies born that looks just like clover! Twin doe/buck!
Congrats~!
Watching here in the Philippines🇵🇭
That was absolutely adorable. After the Bo-se shot, you told him he was a good boy and it looked like he had the biggest smile on his face.
❤❤❤
Congratulations on the babies!
I have a question, sadly yesterday our 8th month old ND buck Adam was killed. We're not exactly sure what killed him. The fences are high and sturdy (they're made from metal pipes and stuff). His guts were lying next to him, and there was a buzzer on the fence, but we don't think they ate anything. In Adam's neck, there were 2 holes in it close together, and that's how he died. We're thinking a coyte (but don't know how it would have got out of the pen) or a bobcat (but haven't seen anything in a while). What do you think it is?
How close were the puncture holes? I am so sorry!! We have not lost a goat to a predator ever so I'm not super great at guessing but I can try!! Coyote teeth would be further apart than a bobcat. And I feel like a cat would go for the throat and clamp. Not sure how a coyote kills...
@SageandStoneHomestead they were very close together. We've never lost one until now. I would show you a picture, but it's youtube.
Send me an email if you want! sageandstonehomestead@gmail.com
@SageandStoneHomestead I sent it! (Sorry, somehow I sent 3)
Good job Clover! I have a 3rd freshener lamancha doe that has never actually raised her babies until she kidded with me this year. She's doing good, not super attentive but good overall. I'm sure Clover will pickup from watching all the other mamas!
Babies are so beautiful
Well done Clover! I think she's such a lovely doe. I was also giggling over the jumping goats in the background, it was like they were trying to see what was going on. 😄
Congrats Clover and human mama, aka Heather! 😃
Good morning!
They are both so cute!
Sandi Brock does sheep but she usually gets like a toilet paper roll and cut it sticky stretchy bandage stuff that goes around it and that helps her lambs she's on RUclips she's from Canada😊 what was up with that goat in the background jumping up and down it was really cute😊
My doe had the same “push face” as clover’s sooooo cute!
Wow that selenium worked super fast 😂 glad the little guy is on the mend!
I wish I lived closer, I'd buy those bucks. They're beautiful!!
The mom did a awesome job!
And I love when the girls were in the background winding up to hit heads..
Yes that's what they were doing! Someone was in heat.
I'm so glad Clover is figuring things out. Hopefully baby's legs will get stronger soon! They're both really cute!
who is jumping in the background😂 too funny
Margie!
The babies are so stinkin’ cute!❤
They are gorgeous bucks. Love the black and white one. Thank you for sharing. Love and Blessings to you all. ❤❤❤❤🙏🙏🙏🙏 Doris, Penrith 🇦🇺🦘
I think his coloration is called "Swiss" and it's stunning! I want a swiss doe!!
I think (I've been known to be wrong.....🙄) his coloring is called Sandgau if he is black with white. Swiss denotes black with brown markings. I'm totally open to correction! 😁
@@merryanneadair4451 Thank you for the information. 👍
@@SageandStoneHomestead Thank you Heather. 👍
@SageandStoneHomestead so does Crystal from BCDG. She says it every kidding season about her NDs. I didn't know what Swiss was until now and now I know why she wants one so bad. He is gorgeous.
Oh snap, 2 bucks! But not to worry, you always have a plan. Love these kidding videos I’m learning so much, thank you, Heather!🫶
You bet!! 🤩
Those Clover babies are just so cute!! have you harvested lamanchas for meat before? I'm curious about what age/size this would typically be done versus the nigerians
Usually around 10 months old!
Nigerians can be done then too but usually 18m is better!
I'm so glad the birth went well for Clover!! Very nice bucklings but I was really hoping for at least 1 doeling for you!!! If I lived closer I'd jump at the chance to get the little black guy for a buck! 😊 It's always a relief when all the births are over with moms doing well & healthy kids bouncing around! 🙂 God bless!
If you want to meet up somewhere I'm not opposed to that! :)
@@SageandStoneHomestead that is so generous of you!! Halfway would still be quite a trip for both of us! 😔
We just wrapped up our kidding season early this morning with our last doe kidding triplets. When I got out in the morning, I saw two, but after entering the gate, there was a third nearly dead. I picked it up and if flopped over my hand. She was covered in birthing fluid, and absolutely cold to the touch. Inside her mouth was very cold. I was sure she was dead until she moved her mouth ever so slightly and then made the smallest most pathetic little peep. I brought her in and immediately got her under water, I didn't care if momma wouldn't take her back. After half an hour or so, she was up to temp and doing pretty good. I gave her some colostrum. She is doing okay, except now I have no one to put her with. Momma isn't taking her and while she is the same size as some other kids, she isn't accepted. I will be bottle feeding her as well as another that was born a few days ago.
At any rate, we had 16 born this season: 10 does and 6 bucks. One doeling was found dead two weeks after being born. I think momma had it when I wasn't out there and then she buried it under her hay accidentally. I was so shocked when I found her!
Oh man that's intense! I'm so glad you were able to save the one doeling!!
So a goat with FOMO.
Always!
Clovers boys are beautiful!!! I have always loved Swiss marked goats! You could call the little guy Robinson after the Swiss Family Robinson.😆😉 Thanks now for sharing!! Clover did beautifully!! Stay safe!!🙏❤
I have had 2 swiss marked and they were both bucks! Elpis is Toggenberg marked which is close!
We give moms selenium a couple of times during pregnancy because our vet said we are right at the edge of an area that is selenium deficient. 2 of our kids this year, so far, have needed a dose for a slightly wobbly back leg. It doesn’t work quite work as fast as it did on your little buck 😂
Yeah that was probably just the poke that got some adrenaline going! LOL ♥
