Love your registrations. You make them simple and listenable. So many I hear playing these same songs have so much registration that when they change, it's kind of ... "Did he just change something? Sounds almost like before."
I knew about this group of pieces by G. Young, but have only heard it twice. Once was on an English Cathedral Organ. And then this one. Your phrasing, articulation, and energy shine through this. The Arioso is stunning. The flutes are just gorgeous. Then, when you started the Toccata, the grandeur of the the church and organ came together. I'm going to have to find these three pieces. Totally enjoyed them.
I give Gordon alot of credit, and despite it being his last piece, at age 79 he could still compose music that was "alive!" Nice performance. Thank you for presenting this video. Great sounding Organ!
I haven't heard these pieces before, but they are great. Gordon Young was the organist and choir master at 1st Pres. Ch. in Lancaster, PA back in the 40,s. He was responsible for the installation in 1947 of the beautiful 4 manual, 70 rank, 4000 pipe Aeolian Skinner Instrument that is in pristine condition today. E. Power Biggs played the dedicatory recital.

This is one of the channels i binge-watch regularly. Top musicianship, ravishing voicing, and the most beautiful church on the planet!
