    No gearbox no oil no engine means alot of weight savings.

    the Turkish industry has been around since late 80's but the until 2000 it was very poor and limited, from 2000-2010 it made good progres byt the progress made from 2011 to now is outstanding, by 2030 Turkey will definetly be in the top 10 arms supliers of the world they are already in the top 3 regarding Armed Drones only behind USA in numbers and technology but ahead of other nations in quality but behind in numbers to china.

    I can understand an extended range hybrid with a diesel power pack charging the batteries. When you need to be super quiet or have a lower heat signature we go in electric mode, but when you need the range you just run the diesel power pack. Logistics are simple, just refill with diesel. 'Refilling' a full electric vehicle in the road or in a forward camp strikes me as extremely inefficient, either you are carrying around heavy expensive charged and depleted battery packs in your logistic train, or you wait many hours with the vehicle plugged into single phase diesel generator to recharge the battery.

    • @timmurphy5541
      @timmurphy5541 5 лет назад +5

      The logistics will involve providing spare parts for those hybrid engines and their gearboxes and drive shafts, differentials etc most of which you may be able to get rid of if you go all-electric.

    • @bradjohnson5323
      @bradjohnson5323 5 лет назад +3

      @@timmurphy5541 A hybrid could get rid of all those things. Just need a diesel engine and a generator, then all electric from that point. That is how trains engines work.

To be second, it should be fitted with a .50 cal/40mm grenade launcher for self-defense in case of detection and that's it. Maybe something like the latest Carl Gustaw to address any high danger. Not more.
