Recipe: -4 cups redbud flowers -3 cups water -2 tablespoons lemon juice -1 box fruit pectin (aka sure gel) -2.5 cups of sugar. -Collect 4 cups flowers. -Boil water and pour in flowers. Mix and let steep at least 8 hours. -strain out flowers and you're left with just tea. -pour back into pot, add lemon juice and fruit pectin and bring to a boil. Boil for 1 minute. -add sugar and bring back to a boil and boil for 1 minute again. -Pour into jars. -Waterbath can for 5 minutes. -Enjoy!
+@angelar209 Nope. That rinses out most of the nectar:) I don’t ever rinse any of my flowers for jellies. Worst case scenario- a few bugs get cooked but get strained out 😜

Did you rinse or “destem” the buds before steeping?
