- This is the first 2020 RAM 3500 DRW Night Edition I’ve seen show up so wanted to show you around the truck. I do a quick mpg run and driving impressions for this model since it doesn’t have air suspension, check it out! Please be sure to like the video for more and subscribe to the channel!
Big Thanks to Criswell Chrysler in Thurmont, MD:

I have an older version of this truck..same color (different name). I've been converting all the chrome to black. The black and red pearl is beautiful.
Yea black against this color is amazing! Thanks for sharing 👍🏾
indeed it is, I spent months trying to locate the red night edition. But ended up with a granite night edition. I'm just as happy, these are the two nicest factory colors.
Probably the best looking dually on the road. Love love love the night package.
💯
Looks solid as hell. The color is pretty sweet. Glad that your back home.
Thanks brother!
JB, love the videos and reviews. I’m in the market for a new RAM 3500, moving up from my 2500, so I’m finding your reviews extremely helpful. Thanks, keep’em coming!
Thanks for sharing and good luck on your search 👍🏾
Good stuff. The Ram 3500 DRW is a beast, I have the new Limited Mega cab, it is a bad ass tow rig for sure. We pull a 16,500 pound Bighorn 5er like it’s not even there. We got 8.6 mpg on a trip from Colorado to Florida and back. It get 16.2 mpg without towing, in town it gets down to 14.2 mpg. Hoping that improves as it breaks in some.
That’s awesome! There is no denying the pulling power from the Cummins. RAM hit it out of the park!
Pretty sure that truck could create world peace!
😂😂😂! I know that’s right!
Very nice! But $700! For the camera wiring? Especially when there are so many Blue Tooth Camera options available? Then you must spend at least that much on the trailer to accommodate that $700 wiring kit!
💯 I was waiting on someone to mention this 👀. To me, this option is not worth it. The only way this would be something high on my list is if I had horses and wanted to install a camera to check on them while traveling or I was camping by myself and didn’t have a spotter. Thanks for sharing 👍🏾
Very nice dually
Nice review. Thank you for showing the actual payload rating. Every other reviewer just states what the manufacture says the payload is which can vary wildly depending on options. Not many understand that, and the yellow sticker is the true payload capacity of the truck.
Thanks! This was unknown to me too and why I started my channel. Every truck is different and I know I do a lot of RAM videos but when you start peeling back every truck, the numbers can vary by 200-300 pounds just from options chosen. Thanks for sharing 👍🏾
Dude, I Love, Love, Love the color combo. That is the only color (Delmonico Red) that I would get on a Ram truck. That truck had some great features too. Thanks for sharing JB.
Hey Ric I thought you were about to say you love me lol! This is the pkg to get! Stay safe 👍🏾
I own one with 373 and one with a 410 rear end when both trucks are empty the 373 gets 21 mpg the 410 gets 15 mpg if that helps you any
Thanks for sharing this Shaun 👍🏾
@@JB_WhoWork not a problem, I watch a lot of your stuff, I usually never respond. But I happened to have some facts that you can use. Keep in up brother I appreciate all your insight
Thank You 🙏🏽
We are looking at this truck for sale and it’s in the 19590 lbs range. It’s doesn’t have the high output engine. We have a 45 ft toy hauler max load 20000. I’m concerned this truck is not enough for our toy hauler. What is your opinion on this?
I’m assuming the truck you’re looking at has a 3.73 rear axle ratio as well and if you found one with a 4.10, you would be able to have a towing capacity over 20,000’s. From my experience (unless you plan on fulltiming) people rarely get to the GVWR of their trailer but if you can find a 4.10 rear standard output Cummins truck, you will have more than enough truck for your TH.
Do you know how much your trailer weighs? I would go weigh it with a full tank of fresh water to see if you would exceed the towing capacity of the truck you’re looking to purchase 👍🏾
@@JB_WhoWork thank you for your quick response! yes it is the 3.73 ratio and yes we will be full timing so I’m concerned . The trailer is capable of max weight of 20k and I’m sure we will max it out as we have a can am spyder that weighs 1100 lbs and we will be living in it. I was thinking the 4.10 would be a better way to go for our needs.
I would 100% go 4.10 and it wouldn’t hurt to have the HO Cummins/Aisin configuration 👀
@@JB_WhoWork thank you so much for your time!
Has anyone heard if Ram is going to pair up with Allison? I've been holding out for a different transmission.
No news and with the pandemic I’d be surprise if we find out this year.
@@JB_WhoWork Thank you
Time to #UPGRADE Justin. Ha Ha Ha
Lol!!! We should both go get one 😂😂😂
@@JB_WhoWork Ha ha ha. My style of truck is a stripped down Tradesman with power windows 6.4 gasser 1 TON.
That’s what a true pickup is 💪🏾💪🏾💪🏾!
Isn't it odd that all new technology plus the cummins engine is $30k, so what the hell we paying $53k base for? Old technology that should be cheaper now, and stuff we know how to do it. It just doesn't make sense.
Well as long as people are willing to give them their money, these prices will continue to make since to them... I agree because you remember when a 6 disc (or more) CD player was extra? That made since because it added something that required some hardware but now they are t even adding CD players anymore. My 19 has one though.
What do you do to make the daytime running lights flicker?
I'm seeing limited ones fir $74k same truck. Over priced imho
The candy apple red or maroon is nice
Great review !! I absolutely love that color and the night edition. I’m looking for a new ram 3500 right now and can’t decide between the night edition or limited (that limited interior is sweet) and trying to figure out if I really need a dually or not. Love the look of them but worried about parking, drive- thru, etc. but looking at getting a toy hauler fifth wheel and wondering if I need it or not. By the numbers it seems I’d be fine in a srw, but I love the look of the dually. Anyways, great review as always!
Thanks! If your looking at a toy hauler with a GVWR over 16000’s, I would go dually. Stay tuned as I’m doing a follow up with a long bed 1 ton SRW for my Weight Watchers Truck Edition.
Did you end up getting a dually
@@yakattack_fishing8542 no I didn’t, I found a 3500 mega cab limited SRW that I really liked and at the right price. Best fit for me to not have a daully since this is my daily driver. And it still tows what I need.
@@JMFARMSPlantCityFL nice, congrats man
All these 1/2, 3/4 and 1 ton trucks are crazy money and I own an 18 limited 2500
What a beauty! Only thing is (and this is just me), needs the 4:10 rear end. For 81K might as well just upgrade the rear. Other than that, very nice truck. Pretty much same interior as my Laramie.
Exact same payload capacity as mine. You know me, I am all about payload.
Haha! Might as well have that 4.10, I thought you might like this 👍🏾!
Gotta say I really appreciate the way you just calmly talk during your explanation...you don't scream at the camera....just ordered my first ram truck similar to this one but with more options....
Thanks Bill!
I got that color on my 18 single wheel 3500. Red has never been much of a thing to me, but when the salesman show me the Delmonico red, I was sold.
Yup, this is the best red out available on trucks as it was in my top 3
Thats cheap! Limited version is expensive!
Yes it is 😵
@@JB_WhoWork hahaha, waiting for my 2021 2500 Limited mega cab to come in
Love the truck but the wheels look to small to me. Would look better with a bigger wheel in my opinion. Great review JB
Yea I agree or maybe a more beefier tire. This truck doesn’t need much to really look complete. Thanks 👍🏾
Loooove that color. Absolutely Beautiful, but a little steep for my wallet 😅 really wish you could get the night edition in the hydro blue.
I’m surprised you can’t... I think that would look extremely sharp especially on a dually! After reviewing this truck, a dually could be on the horizon for my next truck! Thanks Dennis 👍🏾
JB Reviews well I can. But it’s a difference of can and should. a big horn is plenty for my needs. And my wife would kill me if I spent $80k on a truck 😂 she gets mad when I spend over $40k. she has other plans for my money
JB Reviews man you will love the dually. Very stable and they look beefy. Would you go crew cab with a long bed, or mega with a short dually?
Lol!!! I understand that, these trucks are out of control in regards to pricing. I’ve seen tradesman that are 60k 😳...
Longbed for sure. I’m hoping if they keep MegaCab they go with a 7 foot bed or 6’9” I’m not picky lol!
That's a long beast of a truck JB..
Yes it is!
That color is great. JB, you don't drive on my grass anymore, lol. Have a great summer.
Lmao!!! I plan to come over and do some donuts 🤣! Same to you 👍🏾
Love the colour hate the night edition just looks incomplete
Is the paint code on that truck since you said Delmonico red is it prv
That is correct!
I’m looking for this exact colour combo, but can’t find it in a 4.10 gear ratio. It’s driving me insane...
Dude I don’t know why dealers don’t just build every dually with 4.10... 3.73 should be special order 👍🏾
JB Reviews. Yeah, looks like I’m gonna have to wait for a few months and just go to a dealer and order the 2021 the way I want it. Oh, great review by the way 😋
Thanks and that’s what I did! Make sure you get that 50 gallon fuel tank option too 👍🏾
Made in Mexico booo!
❤️❤️🔥🔥
Very good review. Thanks!
Thanks 🙏🏾
Great to see you back with truck reviews.
I agree with your comments on the color and wheels.
For such a large truck with diesel engine fuel consumption a tad better then i expected.
A dully BEST choice for towing long and heavy trailers. Safety wise better stability highway driving.
💯 I’m glad to step back in to a truck with only 9 miles on it 😎. I agree I would like to get it on a 100 mile loop because I know the fuel mileage would increase close to 15-16 especially with a 3.73 axle.
@@JB_WhoWork I agreeTOTALLY stepping back to a new truck.
Can't wait to get behind the wheel of my power wagon when it FINALLY arrives !
The 3.73 axle would be my choice too !
The truck is expensive but then it is loaded option wise.
The smaller touch screen gives EASIER access to ac and heated and cooled seates.
It will be interesting to see how the auto industry pans out for the remainder of this year and the first months of 2021?
pjasyl I can’t believe you haven’t gotten your PW yet... The good news is when you get it, you will be satisfied! We shall see, this “pandemic” hasn’t effected it as much as I thought it would... But what do I know, I live in a RV 😂
@@JB_WhoWork The production of the power wagon has just resumed from shut down due to the pandemic. For now only one shift is running resulting in a back up of orders.
Back in mid March when the lock down commenced and presently non essential marine freight to the island is halted until further notice.
Unlike the rest of Canada being a island we are TAKING OUR TIME NOT RUSHING TO RETURN TOO QUICKLY TO THE NEW FORM OF DAILY LIFE.It's paying off BIG TIME with our five worst stage to one best stage plan to gradually lift restrictions. On Monday June 8 we move to stage 3, dealerships reopen.Lots are pretty well empty with no shipments due any time soon.
What's the situation down your way?
I got a feeling your getting a new ram truck !
Good to hear. Dealers in MD never closed and I’m surprised we don’t have more cases...
Ha! No sir, I’m waiting for the full redesign and even then I still may hold out for a little longer. I spent all my money on this truck so I have to rebuild savings too!
Beautiful Truck! I like it a lot.
This is the next one Mikey P?
Beautiful
💯
Great review brother
Thanks Anthony 👍🏾
First LOL
😂😂😂
Only 2 cons are the price and the way that the front lug nuts stick out way too far.
I just never understood why it is like that. Just puzzles me. 🤔
The front wheels should match the rear wheels look.
